There is no significnt protection for other devices in the re, nd the surge my cuse dmge or mlfunctions. Surge generted y other devices could e sored nd cuse dmge such s urning. Cre must e tken for points elow. The surge suppressor limits solenoid vlve surge voltge, which cn rech severl hundred volts, to lower voltge level withstndle y the output contct. Depending on the output circuit used, this my e insufficient nd could result in dmge or mlfunction. Check whether the surge suppressor cn e used y the surge voltge limit of the solenoid vlve in use, the output device s withstnd pressure nd circuit structure, nd y the degree of return dely time. 7 WG Series M MN W If nother device or solenoid vlve is connected in prllel to the solenoid vlve, reverse voltge surge generted when the solenoid vlve is off is pplied to these devices. Even when using the solenoid vlve with VDC surge suppressor, the surge voltge could rech severl tens of volts depending on the model. This revere polrity voltge could dmge devices connected in prllel or cuse them to mlfunction. Avoid prllel connection of devices suspected of reversing polrity voltges, e.g., LED indictors. When driving severl solenoid vlves in prllel, the surge from other solenoid vlves could enter the surge suppressor of one solenoid vlve with surge suppressor. Depending on the current vlue, tht surge suppressor could urn. When driving severl solenoid vlves with surge suppressors in prllel, surge current could concentrte t the surge suppressor with the lowest limit voltge nd cuse similr urning. Even if the solenoid vlve type is the sme, the surge suppressor s limit voltge cn e inconsistent, nd in the worst cse, could result in urning. Avoid driving severl solenoid vlves in prllel. Design & Selection Instlltion & Adjustment The surge suppressor incorported in the solenoid vlve often short-circuits if dmged y overvoltge or overcurrent from source other thn the solenoid vlve. If the surge suppressor fils, if lrge current flows when output is on, the output circuit or solenoid vlve could e dmged or ignite. Do not keep power on in fulty stte. Provide n overcurrent protection circuit on the power or drive circuit or use power supply with overcurrent protection so tht lrge current does not flow continuously.. This is not for improving qulity of compressed ir, so red the wrning nd the cutions in the Introduction very well, then implement instlltion nd djustment. Do not remove or force the port filter. The filter could deform nd result in prolems. This is lock switch, so the OFF function is not reset even if the switch is relesed. CAUTION Check procedures efore chnging the push-in joint size. Prolems such s ir lekge could occur if the joint is not instlled properly or if mounting threds re not tightened sufficiently. Joint stop plte Set screw Remove the set screw. Pull out the joint stopper plte nd joint together. Align the stopper plte with the groove on the replcement joint, nd ssemle temporrily.
