Pilot Pressure MP - Directionl Control Vlves Options Pilot restrictor A restrictor module vlve incorported with the solenoid pilot operted directionl vlve enles meter out control of oil from the pilot chmer during shifting of the min vlve spool. This reduces trnsient shock. TGMFN---A-B- is used s restrictor module. Notes on Opertion Mounting orienttion To ensure sure switching of no spring detented type vlves, mount vlves so spool xis is horizontl. There re no mounting ttitude restrictions for other spool/spring rrngements. Solenoid energiztion Alwys ensure tht one side of solenoid is deenergized efore energizing the opposite side. For spring centered, pressure centered nd spring offset vlves, solenoid should e continuously energized during circuit switching. Deenergiztion of solenoid will cuse spool to return to prescried position y spring force. For no spring detented type vlves, min spool will e mintined in switched position s long s the pilot pressure is mintined. Also, to ensure sure circuit switching, solenoid should e energized for more thn. second. Long periods of solenoid energiztion Cre should e pid s long periods of solenoid energiztion t high pressure my cuse spool sticking nd switching mlfunction. Drin nd pilot. For internl drin type vlves, pilot pressure (P port pressure of internl pilot vlves) must e higher thn min. pilot pressure + tnk line ck pressure. Therefore the pressure difference must e mintined even when surge pressures occur in the tnk line.. xternl drin type vlve is recommended when surge pressures my occur in tnk line. Drin line should lso e piped directly to tnk.. In cse of internl drin vlve with spring sets B, C, nd D nd spool types,,, nd, internl pilot type vlve cnnot e used if P to T port pressure drop during solenoid deenergiztion flls elow minimum pilot pressure. Use externl pilot type vlve in this cse. Mnul opertion For mnul switching, push the mnul override pin of solenoid pilot operted directionl vlve while the minimum pilot pressure is mintined. Be wre tht, in cse of internl drin vlve, ctution force increses with higher tnk line ck pressure. (See pge -) Solenoid indictor lmp For vlves with indictor lmps, the lmps will light when current flows to the solenoid.
