7 Directionl spool vlve 5-.WE 7/22 Function, section The 5-chmer directionl vlve type 5-.WE is solenoidctuted directionl spool vlve with switching time increse. It controls the strt, stop nd direction of flow. The directionl vlve siclly consists of housing (1), one or two electronic solenoids (2), control spool (3), nd the return springs (4). In de-energized condition, the control spool (3) is held in the centrl position or in the initil position y the return springs (4) (except for vlves without spring "O"). If the wet-pin electronic solenoid (2) is energized, the control spool (3) moves out of its rest position into the required end position. In this wy, the required direction of flow ccording to the selected symol is relesed. After the electronic solenoid (2) hs een switched off, the control spool (3) is pushed ck into its centrl position or into its initil position (except for vlves with "OF" detent nd vlves without type "O" spring). A mnul override (6) llows for the mnul switching of the vlve without solenoid energiztion. To ensure proper functioning, mke sure tht the pressure chmer of the solenoid is filled with oil. More functions see pge 8. Type 5-4WE 10 Throttle insert Using throttle insert (9) in chnnels P, A, B or T, the flow resistnce t the vlve cn e incresed. Its use is required when, due to previling operting conditions, flows occur during the switching processes, which exceed the performnce limit of the vlve. 9 RE 23352, edition: , Bosch Rexroth AG

The vlve without spring return t the control spool (3) hs no defined sic position in the de-energized condition. A Without spring return with "OF" detent (only possile with symols A, C nd D) This version is directionl vlve with 2 spool positions nd 2 electronic solenoids with detent. The detents re used to fix the control spool (3) in the relevnt spool position. During opertion, continuous ppliction of current to the electronic solenoid cn thus e omitted which contriutes to energy-efficient opertion. Notice: Pressure peks in the tnk line to two or severl vlves cn result in unintended movement of the control spool in the cse of vlves with detent! We therefore recommend tht seprte return lines e provided or check vlve instlled in the tnk line. In this connection, the switching time is pressure-, flow- nd viscosity-dependent, specific to the instlltion. The switching time is influenced y mens of restriction (throttle or orifice) in the connection chnnel (5) etween the two spring chmers in which the liquid volume is displced from one spring chmer into the other in cse of switching process.
