5 RE XN-B2 WE 6../.E..XN Hydrulics Bosch Rexroth AG 5/12 Function, section Directionl vlves of type WE re solenoid operted directionl spool vlves. They control the strt, stop nd direction of fluid flow. The directionl vlves siclly consist of housing (1), one or two solenoids (2), control spool (3), nd one or two return springs (4). In the de-energized condition, control spool (3) is held in the centrl position or in the initil position y the return springs (4) (except for impulse spool). The control spool (3) is ctuted y wet-pin solenoids (2). To ensure proper functioning, cre must e tken tht the pressure chmer of the solenoid is filled with oil. The force of solenoid (2) cts vi plunger (5) on control spool (3) nd pushes the ltter from its rest position to the required end position. This enles the necessry direction of flow from P A nd B T or P B nd A T. After solenoid (2) ws de-energized, return spring (4) pushes control spool (3) gin ck to its rest position. An optionl mnul override (6) llows control spool (3) to e moved without energiztion of the solenoid. Type 4WE 6..6X/O XN (only possile with spool symols A, C nd D) This version is directionl vlve with two spool positions nd two solenoids without detent. In the de-energized condition, there is no defined spool position. Type 4WE 6..6X/OF... XN (impulse spool, only possile with spool symols A, C nd D) This version is directionl vlve with two spool positions, two solenoids nd one detent. It lterntely locks the two spools in position nd the solenoid therefore needs not to e permnently energized. Importnt: Pressure peks in the tnk line to two or severl vlves cn result in unwnted spool movements in the cse of vlves with detent! We therefore recommend tht seprte return lines e provided or check vlve instlled in the tnk line. The tnk line must not e llowed to run empty. With corresponding instlltion conditions, prelod vlve (prelod pressure pprox. 2 r) must e instlled. Throttle insert (vlve type 4WE 6..6X/ XN../B..) The use of throttle insert is required when due to previling operting conditions, flows cn occur during the switching processes, which exceed the performnce limit of the vlve. The scope of delivery for order option Z4 includes mting connector complying with the specific requirements of ATEX clss 3. The mting connector is shown in the chpter Unit dimensions. Due to the flow forces cting within the vlves, the permissile switching power limits my e considerly lower with only one direction of flow (e.g. from P A while port B is locked)! (In such cses, plese consult us.) The switching power limit ws estlished while the solenoids were t operting temperture, t 10 % undervoltge nd without tnk pre-loding.
