The thermostts of the WTHc series re suitble for the use in hot ir systems cc. to DIN 79 nd consist of 3 seprte mesuring nd switching systems with the following functions: tem-- perture controller TR, temperture monitor TW, nd sfety temperture limiter STB. In the event of mlfunction, the STB switches the monitored mchine line to n opertionl sfe sttus. Hot ir thermostts operte ccording to the fluid expnsion principle. The electricl switching elements re microswitches. WTHc-80-SW Switching function Temperture controller TR nd temperture monitor TW If the temperture on the temperture probe exceeds the setpoint vlue, the microswitch is ctivted by the trnsmission mechnics nd the electricl circuit is opened or closed. If the temperture flls below the selected setpoint vlue (by the mount of the switching differentil), the microswitch is reset to its initil position. Temperture monitor TW nd sfety temperture limiter STB The microswitch cn be mnully unlocked once the dngerous temperture drops by pprox. 0 K. Self-monitoring for the sfety temperture limiter STB If the mesuring system is destroyed (i.e. if the expnsion fluid escpes) the pressure in the membrne of the STB drops nd permnently opens the electricl circuit. Unlocking is then no longer possible. The electricl circuit opens when cooling the probe of STB down to the negtive temperture rnge, but it then closes gin if the temperture unlocks itself utomticlly.
