1 7012 REPLCEMENT The instlltion procedures re the removl procedures in reverse order. However, only instlltion procedures requiring dditionl informtion re included. 1. REMOVE ROOF HEDLINING SSY (See pge 7615) () Remove the front door opening trim LH nd RH. () Remove the front pillr grnish LH nd RH. (c) Remove the LH nd RH visors. (d) Remove the ssist grip. (e) Remove the visor holder RH nd LH. (f) Remove the mp lmp lens cover. (g) Remove the mp lmp. (h) Remove the roof hedlining prtilly so tht the windshield glss cn e removed. 2. REMOVE INNER RER VIEW MIRROR SSY (See pge 7040) 3. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILTOR LOUVER (See pge 666) () Remove the wiper rm cover RH nd LH. () Remove the front wiper rm LH nd RH. (c) Remove the hood to cowl top sel. (d) Remove the cowl top ventiltor louver LH nd RH. 700VU01 Windshield Cut Moulding Cut Vehicle ody REMOVE WINDSHIELD MOULDING OUTSIDE () Using knife, cut off the moulding, s shown in the illustrtion. Do not dmge the ody with the knife. () Remove the remining moulding. Mke prtil cut in the moulding. Then, pull nd remove it y hnd. Stopper 5. REMOVE () From the interior, insert pino wire etween the vehicle ody nd glss, s shown in the illustrtion. () Tie ojects tht cn serve s hndles (for exmple, wooden locks) to ll wire ends. Pino Wire

When seprting the glss from the vehicle, tke cre not to dmge the vehicle s pint the interior nd exterior ornments. To prevent instrument pnel s sfety pd from eing scrtched when removing the glss, plce plstic sheet etween the pino wire nd sfety pd. (c) Cut the glss y pulling the pino wires round the glss. (d) Disengge the stoppers. (e) Using suction cup, remove the glss. Leve s much dhesive on the vehicle ody s possile when removing the glss. Stopper O CLEN () Using scrper, remove the dmged stoppers, dm nd dhesive sticking to the glss. () Clen the outer circumference of the glss with white gsoline. Do not touch the glss surfce fter clening it. e creful not to dmge the glss. Even if using new glss, clen the glss with white gsoline. 7. INSTLL STOPPER NO.2 () Cot the instlltion prt of the stopper with Primer G. llow the primer coting to dry for 3 minutes or more. Do not pply too much primer. () Instll 2 new windshield glss stoppers onto the glss, s shown in the illustrtion. re 40.0 mm (1.575 in.) 9.0 mm (0.354 in.)

3 INSTLL STOPPER NO.1 () Instll 2 new stoppers to the vehicle ody, s shown in the illustrtion. Do not pply too much primer. () Instll new dm, pplying doulesided tpe ll the wy round the glss except where the dm is instlled, s shown in the illustrtion. re 7.0 mm (0.276 in.) 23.5 mm (0.925 in.) INSTLL WINDSHIELD MOULDING OUTSIDE () Using rush or sponge, cot the edge of the glss nd the contct surfce with Primer G. llow the primer coting to dry for 3 minutes or more. Do not cot the dhesive with Primer G. () Instll the windshield moulding. 1652

Leve s much dhesive on the vehicle ody s possile. (2) Clen the contct surfce of the vehicle ody with piece of shop rg sturted with clener. Even if ll the dhesive is removed, continue clening the vehicle ody. Mrk O2820 () Position the glss. (1) Using suction cup, plce the glss in the correct position. (2) Check tht the whole contct surfce of the glss rim is perfectly even. (3) Plce reference mrks etween the glss nd vehicle ody. Check tht the stoppers re ttched to the vehicle ody correctly. When reusing the glss, check nd correct the reference mrk positions. (4) Remove the glss. Primer M CORRECT (c) Using rush, cot the contct surfce of the vehicle ody on the vehicle side with Primer M. llow the primer coting to dry for 3 minutes or more. Do not cot the dhesive with Primer M. If Primer G is ccidentlly pplied to nother prt of the vehicle, wipe off the primer with clen shop rg efore it dries. llow the primer coting to dry for 3 minutes or more. Do not cot the dhesive with Primer G. (1) Using suction cup, position the glss so tht the reference mrks re ligned. Press it in gently long the rim. llow the primer coting to dry for 3 minutes or more. Check tht the stoppers re ttched to the vehicle ody correctly. Check the clernce etween the vehicle ody nd glss. 1654
