3 Brake Operaton : Brakes swtched on the DC sde. (Ths wll acheve fastest response tmes). Brakes are FAIL SAFE e. Sprng Appled. Power on to release. When the col (2), s energsed, the magnetc flux attracts the armature plate (3), to the col body (1), ths compresses the sprngs (8), and releases the brake dsc (4). Mcro Swtch : Optonal avalablty, Inboard Provng Swtch, one common contact, one normally open contact and one normally closed contact. Ths can be nterlocked wth motor contactor for parkng brake duty, e. brake release before startng motor. Brake Termnaton : Three standard versons : 1) Flyaway leads, usually 1 metre long through PG Cable Gland n Body. 2) IP66 Termnal box, for easy connecton and removal, 3) Versons for AC supply wth bult-n Full Wave or Half Wave rectfcaton nsde the Termnal Box. Please note that when the brake s electrcally connected to an AC motor and swtched on the AC sde, care must be taken so that the load does not drve back nto the motor and generate a voltage that may hold the brake off..e. n host and lft applcatons. If n doubt please contact the Stromag techncal department. Emergency Hand Release Lever : Ths s set n our works, no settng s requred over maxmum lnng wear.
