3 EVEREXCEED DEEP CYCLE GEL BATTERY CONSTRUCTON. The postve and negatve grds are cast from a calcum tn lead alloy to reduce grd growth and corroson. The actve materal s manufactured from hgh purty lead ( %) to mmze the negatve effects of mpurtes. Gel separator s suppled by the leadng manufacturer n the feld, utlzng the latest world technology. The base materal s a mcroporous duroplastc exhbtng excellent hgh temperature stablty and mechacal strength, resultng n very good resstance to vbraton and mechacal shock. The ntegrty of the battery wll be mantaned under extreme condtons. The purpose of the separator s to mantan a constant dstance between the postve and negatve plates, thus removng the possblty of short crcuts whlst allowng the actve materal to fully react wth the electrolyte. To ensure each cell has the correct amount of gel, the cells are frst overflled, the extra gel then removed. The V. R. LA Gel battery desgn and constructon negates the need for electrolyte addton and the battery remans mantenance free throughout ts desgn lfe. SAFETY RELEASE VALVE - Those Gel batteres wll operate above atmospherc pressure under normal operatng condtons, however the maxmum pressure s governed by the safety one-way release valve. Open acton s actvated by nternal pressures n excess of approx, 2 PS (14Kpa), resealng at approx 1.2 PS (8.4Kpa). GAS RECOMBNATON - The gasses generated durng normal operaton of the battery are nternally recombned. n fact more than 99% of the gas acheves recombnaton. TERMNAL CONSTRUCTON - The contact qualty between the copper nsert female termnal and the lead post s of vtal mportance durng short duraton hgh Amps dscharge. Elevated termnal temperatures are the result of poor contact, eventually causng seal degradaton and electrolyte leaks. EverExceed's tn plated copper termnal desgn and fuson weldng plus epoxy sealng assembly techque for termnal castng ensures trouble free operaton and hgh performance.
