2 ENCLOSURES AND WIRING ACCESSORIES IP - IP55 GENERAL DESCRIPTION enclosures are desgned to accomodate EVOLUTION Seres accessores and, wth specfc bearng adaptors, the BASIC Seres. Avalable n surface and flush mountng unts n both IP and IP55. REFERENCE STANDARD Internatonal standard IEC Part 1: General requrements for enclosures for accessores for household and smlar fxed electrcal nstallatons Usually nstalled n buldngs, such as shops and stores, techncal premses, bolers and elevators, understars and garrets, farms or garages, UNIBOX enclosures, thanks to ther hgh IP55 protecton degree, can be also nstalled n the outsde of buldngs, areas lashed by the ran, such as doors and gardens, parkng areas or yards, etc. The flush mountng verson, wth ts IP55 protecton degree, s partcularly sutable for sealed electrc nstallatons, such as entrances, doors or gates and, anyway, n chased applcatons requrng a good seal aganst water jets and sprnklngs. IP55 verson could be used n gardens, outsde commercal and resdencal buldngs and any area where protecton aganst dust or ranwater s requred. VERSIONS - IP surface mountng (1, 2, 3 modules) - IP55 surface mountng (1, 2, 3, 4 (2+2), 6 (3+3) modules) - IP55 flush mountng (3 modules) FIXTURES - BASIC Seres adaptor bearng (equpped) - 6 mm 2 earth termnal (opton) - sealng caps (opton) TECHNICAL FEATURES enclosures have the followng techncal features: - Installaton: surface or flush mountng - Protecton degree: IP or IP55, accordng to the verson - The protecton degree IP55 becomes IP20 when the cover s open - Made n technopolymer, shockproof and selfextngushng - PG16 cable sleeve wth nteror daphragms, already nstalled (except 2+2 and 3+3) on the upper sde and 23-mm dam. cut-outs on the remanng sdes (only for surface mountng verson) - The UNIBOX cover clp offers easy access and ensures postve closure mantanng the IP55 ratng. - The swtchng operaton can be undertaken through the transparent membrane - Accepts EVOLUTION Seres accessores and, wth adaptors, the BASIC Seres - The frame can be attached to the base before securng the fxng screws smplfyng the nstallaton process - Wall nstallaton by holes to be perced on the wall wth a dameter of 4.4 mm - Ample cablng space - The IP55 flush verson s provded wth gasket, ts ntegrty s mantened for the nstallaton on walls treated wth mpermeable pants.
