PURPOSE OF MACHNE:- Machne should be able to perform turnng/borng of Ralway wheels( havng nternal da from 125 mm to 350 mm maxmum outsde da upto 1150 mm bore length 400 mm & weght of wheel as 1000 Kg ) wth requred fnsh & accuraces as per attached wheel drawng no.- drg no /Rev CONFGUARATON OF MACHNE:- CNC vertcal borng machne wth sngle column of thermo symmetrc desgn for thermal stablty shall be of robust constructon & shalf be ftted wth traversng cross ral. Machne shall have a Ram head and 12 staton Automatc tool changer (ATC).The Rotary table shall be drven by AC spndle motor wth two speed gearbox (made of alloy steel hardened and ground) wth nfntely varable speed. Table speed shall be nfntely varable & shall be controlled by CNC system provded wth machne. Machne s to have four jaw manually operated chuck. Machne s to be capable of screw cuttng and taper-turnng. Graduated scale s to be provded to ndcate cross ral poston. Both x & z axes shall have bult n encoders to show poston of each axs slde on the CNC screen. Machne shall be equpped wth Manual pulse generator (MPG) to poston both x & z axes. Chp conveyor system wth chp trolley may be quoted. Sutable coolant system wth paper band fltraton cum magnetc separator s to be provded wth machne. For grndng of ralway wheels as per attached drawng an nternal grndng arrangement as a specal tool wll be requred the same shall be quoted. Tools requred for machnng the ralway wheels as per attached drawng shall be recommended & quoted. All feeds are to be reversble & the ram snal be balanced. The table s to have sutable lubrcaton system. Machne s to have centralzed control-push button table self lubrcatng sngle helcal gear table drve. Safety lmt swtches for all traverse /slde axes shall be provded wth machne. A full heght machne claddng s to beeprovded for the operator's safety as well as to avod the splashng of chps & coolant whle the rntchne s runnng at hgh speed. A ol pump at the rear of the machne s-to he provded to supply thoroughly fltered ol to all the systems of the machne lke man drve gear box drvng gear n the base and table bearngs axs bearngs and ball screws etc.. The pump should be sutably nterlocked wth the man drvng motor to ensure that all parts are properly lubrcated before the machne s started and also to obvate any rsk of damage due to falure of the lubrcatng system. A lubrcaton alarm s to be provded. A clearly vsble sghglss to be provded to check functonng of the pumps at any tme.
