However, on he drawou mouning, wihdrawal of he circui breaker is required o access he hardware. To reduce he oal weigh and ease insallaion of he saionary assembly, remove he circui breaker from he saionary assembly (refer o Disconnecing nsrucions, page 20). 19 MASTERPACT MP, MF and MC Circui Breakers 01/2002 Secion 2 Operaion SECTON 2 OPERATON DSCONNECTNG AND CONNECTNG NSTRUCTONS. The CONNECTED posiion circui breaker has four drawou posiions and can be operaed in all four posiions. The circui breaker is capive in all posiions excep WTHDRAWN. A closed circui breaker is auomaically opened prior o being conneced or disconneced during a racking in or racking ou operaion. TEST posiion Connecion or disconnecion of he circui breaker requires inserion of he racking crank. nserion of he racking crank can be prevened by he following saionary assembly accessories: Padlock Key lock Racking inerlock Disconnecing and connecing insrucions are summarized on he label provided wih he insallaion insrucions. The label mus be affixed o he door of he swichboard. DSCONNECTED posiion n he CONNECTED posiion, he primary and secondary disconnecing erminals are engaged, and he circui breaker is ready for service. n he TEST posiion, he primary erminals are disengaged, however, conrol conacs are conneced o permi operaion of he circui breaker. The TEST posiion is used for ing circui breaker operaion and conrol sysem funcions. n his posiion, he circui breaker is no suiable for inernal inspecion or any mainenance funcion. n he DSCONNECTED posiion, he primary and secondary disconnec erminals are disengaged and separaed by a safe disance from he corresponding saionary erminals. n he WTHDRAWN posiion, boh primary and secondary conacs are disconneced. The circui breaker may be removed for complee accessibiliy. Turn off all power supplying his equipmen before working on or inside equipmen. Always use a properly raed volage sensing device o confirm power is off. Replace all devices, doors and covers before urning on power o his equipmen. f he circui breaker is no opened before disconnecing, i will open auomaically during disconnecion. 1. Suiable elecrical and mechanical inerlocks are provided o preven incorrec operaion of he circui breaker. To manually charge an elecrically- or manually-operaed circui breaker, push or pull down on he charging handle, six full srokes should be used.
