GENERAL REGULATIONS 1 Through he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies he uilisaion and/ or applicabiliy of he objec approved has been esablished in accordance wih he Sae Building Ordinances. 2 The General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies does no replace he approvals, consens and cerificaes, which are regulaed by law for he execuion of building projecs. 3 The General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies is graned wihou impairing he righs of hird paries, especially privae propery righs. 4 Producers and markeing organisaions of he objec approved are obliged o provide he user and applier of he approved objec copies of he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies, independen of advanced regulaions according o he Special Regulaions, and o advise hem ha he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies has o be available a he applicaion sie. On reques, he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies has o be made available o auhoriies involved. 5 I is only allowed o copy he General Sysem Auhorizaion in is enirey. SPECIAL REGULATIONS 1 Objec of Approval and Area of Applicaion The objec of approval is a ype of consrucion composed of several building producs consising of loadbearing, roomclosing roof elemens (profile shees) and associaed fixing elemens (aachmen clamps). The profile shees are manufacured from a corrosionproeced shee seel band, which is warped in a cold sae by rollbending o profile shees wih a roughshaped crosssecion and parallel ribs in he suppor direcion (see enclosure 1). The aachmen clamps are manufacured from corrosionproeced shee seel or sainless seel. The profile shees are conneced o each oher o form a waerproof join by inerlocking he sideway ribs of adjacen roof elemens. The connecion wih he subsrucure is effeced by aachmen clamps, which are clamped beween he ribs, can no be seen from above and which are mouned on he subsrucure. The General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies regulaes he manufacure of he building producs and he usage of he ype of consrucion. 2 Regulaions for he building producs 2.1 Properies and Composiion Dimensions The dimensions of he profile shees and aachmen clamps have o correspond o he specificaions in enclosures 1 and 2. For he limiing dimensions of he nominal shee hicknesses, he olerances according o DIN EN (normal limiing dimensions) apply; however, for he lower limiing dimensions only he half values apply Maerial Profile Shees As maerial for he manufacure of he profile shees a corrosionproeced shee seel, suiable for cold bending, has o be used. The base maerial which has no ye been profiled mus have a leas he mechanical characerisic of seel of he ype S 350 GD+Z according o DIN EN for all shee hicknesses. These sandards mus also be fulfilled by he finished componen in is final sae of applicaion.

The aachmen clamps ou of corrosionproeced shee seel mus a leas have he mechanical characerisics of seel of he ype S 350 GD+Z according o DIN EN For he aachmen clamps ou of sainless seel wih he maerial number , he value of he elongaion limi (0.2% elongaion limi) of he base maerial mus be a leas R p0.2 = 290 N/ Connecing Elemens For he connecing elemens, he specificaions in he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies (e.g. auhorizaion no. Z14.14) or in DIN 1052 apply Corrosion Proecion Profile Shees The sipulaions in DIN apply Aachmen Clamps The sipulaions in DIN apply for aachmen clamps ou of sainless seel Connecing Elemens The sipulaions of he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies no. Z14.14 apply Fire Proecion The profile shees are resisan agains sparking fire and radian hea. 2.2 Idenificaion Profile Shees The packaging of he profile shees mus be designaed by he manufacurer wih he conformiy symbol (Üsymbol) according o he conformiy symbol ordinances of he Federal German Saes. Labelling may only ake place when he precondiions of Secion 2.3 have been fulfilled. Each package of profile shees mus also bear a sign conaining informaion on he producion company, year of manufacure, profile designaion, shee hickness and maerial..

Each package of aachmen clamps mus also bear a sign conaining informaion on he producion company, year of manufacure, ype of aachmen clamp and maerial. 2.3 Evidence of Conformiy General The confirmaion of he conformiy of he building producs wih he sipulaions of his General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies has o be carried ou for every producion company wih a conformiy cerificae on he basis of he company s own facory producion conrol and a regular exernal conrol including an iniial inspecion of he building producs according o he following sipulaions. For he purpose of issuing he conformiy cerificae and he exernal conrol including he accompanying produc ess, which have o be carried ou, he producer of he building producs has o employ an auhorized cerificaion office as well as an auhorized regulaory agency. A copy of he conformiy cerificae issued by he cerificaion office has o be given o he German Insiue for Consrucion Technology InCompany Producion Conrol An incompany producion conrol has o be se up and implemened in every producion company. Incompany producion conrol means, ha he coninuous producion conrol o be carried ou by he producer, wih which he producer is able o ensure ha he building producs he produces correspond wih he sipulaions of his General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies. The incompany producion conrol should include a leas he following measures: Profile shees: A he producion company he geomery and dimensions (especially he shee hicknesses) have o be proved by regular measuremens. For each maerial delivery he maerial characerisics and he corrosionproecion of he base maerial have o be proved as required in secion 2.1. Evidence of he maerial characerisics of he base maerial has o be supplied wih an inspecion cerificae 3.1 according o DIN EN The conformiy of he specificaions in he inspecion cerificae 3.1 wih he specificaions in secion 2.1 has o be proved. Aachmen Clamps: The sipulaions for he profile shees apply correspondingly.

On reques, hey have o be presened o he German Insiue for Consrucion Technology and he responsible superior Building Auhoriy. Should esing resuls prove inadequae, he producer has iediaely o ake he necessary measures o eliminae he defec. Building producs which do no conform o he requiremens are o be handled ha way, ha hey are no mixed up wih producs, which conform. Afer eliminaion of he defec, he corresponding es has o be repeaed iediaely if i is echnically possible and necessary for evidence of he eliminaion of he defec Exernal conrol In every producion company he incompany producion conrol has o be proved by an exernal conrol on a regular basis, bu a leas wice a year. As par of he exernal conrol an iniial check of he building producs has o be carried ou and he following ess have o be carried ou in random checks: Profile shees Random checks of he geomery and he dimensions as well as he maerial characerisics have o be made. The exernal conrol has o prove, ha he requiremens of secion 2.1 are fulfilled. aachmen clamps The sipulaions for he profile shees apply correspondingly. The sampling and esing have o be carried ou hrough he specified office. The resuls of he cerificaion and he exernal conrol have o be kep for a leas five years. On reques, hey have o be presened o he German Insiue for Building Technology and o he responsible superior Building Auhoriy hrough he cerificaion office or he regulaory agency. 3 Regulaion for Planning and Measuremens 3.1 General The proof concep, quoed in DIN :199011, applies. Serviceabiliy and loadbearing safey have o be proofed by means of a saic calculaion in every single case of use. Such proofs can also be supplied by a saic ype calculaion subjec o official auhorisaion. 3.2 Loading Assumpions (Impacs) General

8 Page 7 Translaion of he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies No. Z of 17 h March 2005 The provisions in he DIN sandards 10551, 4, 5 apply for he loading assumpion if here are no oher specificaions in he following Permanen weigh of he profile shees See enclosure 4.1 unil 4.3 for he permanen weigh of he profile shees Wind Sucion Forces The increased wind loads resuling from wind sucion o be applied in he fringe and corners of he roof according o DIN are only o be aken ino consideraion for he purposes of providing evidence of connecions (also hose wih he subsrucure). The increased loads resuling from wind sucion are no o be aken ino consideraion for he measuremen of he profile shees hemselves Single load The proof of he load bearing capaciy for he profile shees under a single load of 1 kn according o DIN is considered o be esablished wih he compliance of hese regulaions under his auhorizaion (see also secion 5) Waerskin The sipulaions according o DIN ;198706, secion apply correspondingly. 3.3 Saic Sysems The profile shees may be laid as a single shee or coninuously over several shees. The disance beween he cenres of he aachmen clamps is o be assumed as he span. Evidence of a calculaed span of a leas 1.0 m mus be provided for coninuous beams wih span of less han 1.0 m. 3.4 Proof of load bearing capabiliies acing perpendicularly o he laying surface Calculaion of Loads Secion 7.2 of he sandard DIN : applies if no oher specificaions apply in he following. All loads mus in principle be calculaed according o he heory of elasiciy. The proof of serviceabiliy (for deflecion see DIN :199011, secion 7.2.3) has o be conduced wih he same combinaion coefficiens as for he proof of loadbearing safey and γ M = 1, Calculaion of he loadbearing capaciies from he characerisic values of resisiviy Secion 7.3 of DIN ; and he specificaions in he enclosures and 5 apply. The descripion of he characerisic values in enclosures is based on sandards of he row DIN For profile shees wih consrucion widhs beween he consrucion widhs specified in he enclosures he characerisic values of resisiviies may be deeced wih linear inerpolaion. As characerisic values for he maximum loadbearing forces of he joins of he aachmen clamps wih he subsrucure, he values for he permissible forces in he corresponding sysem auhorisaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies (e.g. auhorisaion no. Z1414) and sandards (e.g. DIN 1052) may be charged muliplied

To deermine he sresses ou of he characerisic values, he parsafey coefficien γ M = 1,33 has o be used. 3.5 Calculaion of Changes in Shape See enclosures for he characerisic value for he bending orque of ineria. 3.6 Roof shear A coninuaion of shear and normal forces acing a he roof level due o a roof slope by he profile shees may no be aken ino consideraion for he purposes of calculaion wihou special design requiremens e.g. forming of anchors (see also secion 4.1). The forces from anchors are o be furher pursued in he subsrucure. 3.7 Shee acion The shee acion of he profile shees for he purposes of siffening he overall building or o sabilise he subsrucure agains laeral orsional buckling mus no be aken ino consideraion for calculaion purposes. 4 Provisions for Implemenaion 4.1 Profile Shees The profile shees have o be conneced o he subsrucure by aachmen clamps a every rib. Anchors are o be provided o fix he profile shees in he case of hea movemens and o ransfer he roof shear in he case of inclined roofs (see enclosure 3). Transverse joins are only permissible if a correc waer drain is sill possible even under full load. Transverse joins have o be effeced direcly over a suppor if he join is carried ou a an anchor. Oherwise he profile shees have o be joined slighly above a suppor. In he case of roof inclines of up o 17 (30%) he opposie overlap of he profile shees has o be a leas 20 cm and a leas 15 cm in he case of bigger roof inclines. If he profile shees are used as a waerbearing ouer shell of roofs, he following minimum roof inclines are o be adhered o: Minimum roof incline of 1.5 (2.6%) for roofs wihou ransverse joins. The required minimum roof inclinaion increases o 2.9 (5%) for roofs wih ransverse joins and/or roof perforaions (e.g. dome lighs). The increase in he minimum roof incline required in he case of roof perforaions e.g. for dome lighs is no necessary, if he following precondiions are me a he same ime: Compleely welded roof bearing frames are used. The roof bearing frames are welded o he roof upper shell of he profile shees in a way ha an absolue closeness is achieved. The requiremen of a minimum roof incline does no apply (locally limied) for he ridge area, if he roof elemens in areas wih roof inclines 2.9 (5%) are arranged unjoined running coninuously over he ridge. The shees formed by he profile shees have o run in direcion of he roof incline.

10 Page 9 Translaion of he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies No. Z of 17 h March Aachmen clamps To connec he profile shees o he subsrucure, aachmen clamps as per enclosure 2 are o be used, where he upper end of each is o be seized o he profile shees. The aachmen clamps are o be fixed direcly o he subsrucure ou of seel or wood. The aachmen clamps are fixed o he subsrucure by suiable screws, indicaed in he general sysem auhorisaions by he Consrucion Auhoriies (e.g. auhorisaion no. Z14.14) and sandards (e.g. DIN 1052). To connec of he profile shees o concree subsrucures, sufficienly anchored, coninuous seel componens (e.g. HTU racks or 8 hick fla seel) or wooden lahs (minimum hickness 40 ) wih a widh of a leas 60 are o be inerposed. 4.3 Suppor hickness The sringer widh may no be lower han 50 for end and inermediae suppors. To guaranee he load bearing capaciy a he end suppors an overlap of profile shees of a leas 60 is required. 4.4 Verge The free edges in he clamping direcion of he profile shees are o be braced by suiable edge siffening (verge profiles). 4.5 Insallaion of Profile Shees The profile shees may only be insalled by qualified persons of he producion company or by auhorized companies wih he corresponding insrucion from he producer. The producer or insaller of he profile shees has o hand ou execuions insrucions for he insallaion of he elemens o he assemblers. Profile shees wih damages including plasic deformaions may no o be insalled. When using profile shees wih differen meal hicknesses on one roof, hey have o be marked according o he hicknesses in order o preven confusions. The individual elemens have o be combined iediaely afer he insallaion by aaching he edge ribs. Here, i is imporan o aend o a proper connecion wih he aachmen clamps. If he insallaion of he profile shees is inerruped, he las fixed profile shee has o be secured agains lifing. An addiional proecion agains lifing is moreover necessary, if he consrucion is exposed o bigger sresses due o wind loads during consrucion han afer compleion of he projec. During insallaion i is no allowed o walk on he profile shees wihou loaddisribuing measures (see secion 5). Afer compleion, he roof is o be cleared of objecs. The conformiy of he syle of consrucion wih he regulaions in his General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies has o be cerified by he execuing company.

11 Page 10 Translaion of he General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies No. Z of 17 h March Regulaions for Use, Mainenance and Service Afer compleion of he roof, i is permissible o walk on he profile shees for cleaning and mainenance work wihou loaddisribuion measures up o spans as per enclosure 6. Loaddisribuing measures, e.g. wooden planks of soring class S10 wih a cross secion of 4 x 24 cm and a lengh of > 3.0 m have o be used, if he spans exceeds he above menioned maximum values. The planks may be laid in he direcion of sress of he profile shees or ransverse o he direcion of sress on he ribs. (German version cerified by he German Insiue for Building Technology)

SPECIAL REGULATIONS 1 Objec of Approval and Area of Applicaion The objec of approval is a ype of consrucion composed of several building producs consising of loadbearing, roomclosing roof elemens (profile shees) and associaed fixing elemens (aachmen clamps). The profile shees are manufacured from smooh or succodesign aluminium shees, which are warped in a cold sae by rollbending o profile shees wih a roughshaped crosssecion and parallel ribs in he suppor direcion (see enclosure 1). The aachmen clamps are manufacured from corrosionproeced shee seel or sainless seel. The profile shees are conneced o each oher o form a waerproof join by inerlocking he sideway ribs of adjacen roof elemens. The connecion wih he subsrucure is effeced by aachmen clamps, which are clamped beween he ribs, can no be seen from above and which are mouned on he subsrucure. The General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies regulaes he manufacure of he building producs and he usage of he ype of consrucion. 2 Regulaions for he building producs 2.1 Properies and Composiion Dimensions The dimensions of he profile shees and aachmen clamps have o correspond o he specificaions in enclosures 1 and 2. For he limiing dimensions of he nominal shee hickness of he profile shees, he olerances according o DIN EN 4854 apply; however, for he lower limiing dimensions only he half values apply. For he purpose of issuing he conformiy cerificae and he exernal conrol including he accompanying produc ess, which have o be carried ou, he producer of he building producs has o employ an auhorized cerificaion office as well as an auhorized regulaory agency. A copy of he conformiy cerificae issued by he cerificaion office has o be given o he German Insiue for Consrucion Technology InCompany Producion Conrol An incompany producion conrol has o be se up and implemened in every producion company. Incompany producion conrol means, ha he coninuous producion conrol o be carried ou by he producer, wih which he producer is able o ensure ha he building producs he produces correspond wih he sipulaions of his General Sysem Auhorizaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies. The incompany producion conrol should include a leas he following measures: Profile shees: A he producion company he geomery and dimensions (especially he shee hicknesses) have o be proved by regular measuremens. For each maerial delivery he maerial characerisics of he base maerial have o be proved as required in secion 2.1. Evidence of he maerial characerisics of he base maerial has o be supplied wih an inspecion cerificae 3.1 according o DIN EN The conformiy of he specificaions in he inspecion cerificae 3.1 wih he specificaions in secion 2.1 has o be proved.

Serviceabiliy and loadbearing safey have o be proofed by means of a saic calculaion in every single case of use. Such proofs can also be supplied by a saic ype calculaion subjec o official auhorisaion. 3.2 Loading Assumpions (Impacs) General The provisions in he DIN sandards 10551, 4, 5 apply for he loading assumpion if here are no oher specificaions in he following Permanen weigh of he profile shees See enclosure 4.1 unil 4.3 for he permanen weigh of he profile shees Wind Sucion Forces The increased wind loads resuling from wind sucion o be applied in he fringe and corners of he roof according o DIN are only o be aken ino consideraion for he purposes of providing evidence of connecions (also hose wih he subsrucure). The increased loads resuling from wind sucion are no o be aken ino consideraion for he measuremen of he profile shees hemselves Single load The proof of he load bearing capaciy for he profile shees under a single load of 1 kn according o DIN is considered o be esablished wih he compliance of hese regulaions under his auhorizaion (see also secion 5) Waerskin The sipulaions according o DIN ;198706, secion apply correspondingly. 3.3 Saic Sysems The profile shees may be laid as a single shee or coninuously over several shees. The disance beween he cenres of he aachmen clamps is o be assumed as he span. Evidence of a calculaed span of a leas 1.0 m mus be provided for coninuous beams wih span of less han 1.0 m. 3.4 Proof of load bearing capabiliies acing perpendicularly o he laying surface Calculaion of Loads Secion 7.2 of he sandard DIN : applies if no oher specificaions apply in he following. All loads mus in principle be calculaed according o he heory of elasiciy.

As characerisic values for he maximum loadbearing forces of he joins of he aachmen clamps wih he subsrucure, he values for he permissible forces in he corresponding sysem auhorisaion by he Consrucion Auhoriies (e.g. auhorisaion no. Z1414) and sandards (e.g. DIN 1052) may be charged muliplied by a facor of 2. To deermine he sresses ou of he characerisic values, he parsafey coefficien γ M = 1,33 has o be used. 3.5 Calculaion of Changes in Shape See enclosures for he characerisic value for he bending orque of ineria. 3.6 Roof shear A coninuaion of shear and normal forces acing a he roof level due o a roof slope by he profile shees may no be aken ino consideraion for he purposes of calculaion wihou special design requiremens e.g. forming of anchors (see also secion 4.1). The forces from anchors are o be furher pursued in he subsrucure. 3.7 Shee acion The shee acion of he profile shees for he purposes of siffening he overall building or o sabilise he subsrucure agains laeral orsional buckling mus no be aken ino consideraion for calculaion purposes. 4 Provisions for Implemenaion 4.1 Profile Shees The profile shees have o be conneced o he subsrucure by aachmen clamps a every rib. Anchors are o be provided o fix he profile shees in he case of hea movemens and o ransfer he roof shear in he case of inclined roofs (see enclosure 3). Transverse joins are only permissible if a correc waer drain is sill possible even under full load. Transverse joins have o be effeced direcly over a suppor if he join is carried ou a an anchor. Oherwise he profile shees have o be joined slighly above a suppor. In he case of roof inclines of up o 17 (30%) he opposie overlap of he profile shees has o be a leas 20 cm and a leas 15 cm in he case of bigger roof inclines. If he profile shees are used as a waerbearing ouer shell of roofs, he following minimum roof inclines are o be adhered o: Minimum roof incline of 1.5 (2.6%) for roofs wihou ransverse joins. The required minimum roof inclinaion increases o 2.9 (5%) for roofs wih ransverse joins and/or roof perforaions (e.g. dome lighs).

Compleely welded roof bearing frames are used. 2. The roof bearing frames ou of aluminium are welded o he roof upper shell of he profile shees in a way ha an absolue closeness is achieved. The requiremen of a minimum roof incline does no apply (locally limied) for he ridge area, if he roof elemens in areas wih roof inclines 2.9 (5%) are arranged unjoined running coninuously over he ridge. The shees formed by he profile shees have o run in direcion of he roof incline. 4.2 Aachmen clamps To connec he profile shees o he subsrucure, aachmen clamps as per enclosure 2 are o be used, where he upper end of each is o be seized o he profile shees. The aachmen clamps are o be fixed direcly o he subsrucure ou of seel or wood. The aachmen clamps are fixed o he subsrucure by suiable screws, indicaed in he general sysem auhorisaions by he Consrucion Auhoriies (e.g. auhorisaion no. Z14.14) and sandards (e.g. DIN 1052). To connec of he profile shees o concree subsrucures, sufficienly anchored, coninuous seel componens (e.g. HTU racks or 8 hick fla seel) or wooden lahs (minimum hickness 40 ) wih a widh of a leas 60 are o be inerposed. 4.3 Suppor hickness The sringer widh may no be lower han 50 for end and inermediae suppors. To guaranee he load bearing capaciy a he end suppors an overlap of profile shees of a leas 60 is required. 4.4 Verge The free edges in he clamping direcion of he profile shees are o be braced by suiable edge siffening (verge profiles). 4.5 Insallaion of Profile Shees The profile shees may only be insalled by qualified persons of he producion company or by auhorized companies wih he corresponding insrucion from he producer. The producer or insaller of he profile shees has o hand ou execuions insrucions for he insallaion of he elemens o he assemblers. Profile shees wih damages including plasic deformaions may no o be insalled. When using profile shees wih differen meal hicknesses on one roof, hey have o be marked according o he hicknesses in order o preven confusions. The individual elemens have o be combined iediaely afer he insallaion by aaching he edge ribs. Here, i is imporan o aend o a proper connecion wih he aachmen clamps. If he insallaion of he profile shees is inerruped, he las fixed profile shee has o be secured agains lifing.

Loaddisribuing measures, e.g. wooden planks of soring class S10 wih a cross secion of 4 x 24 cm and a lengh of > 3.0 m have o be used, if he spans exceeds he above menioned maximum values.
