Constructionl Designs Function ROBA -DS disk pck couplings compenste for xil, rdil nd ngulr shft mislignments. Torque mesurement flnges re precision trnsducers, using which the mesurement of extremely smll mesurement uncertinties cn be relised. However, for this purpose severl prerequisites re necessry. One of the most importnt prerequisites is the minimistion of the prsitic lods ffecting the trnsducer, which mongst other things re cused by lignment errors in the drive line. The use of the ROBA -DS s torsionlly rigid nd bcklsh-free compensting coupling provides the optimum prerequisites in order to chieve exct mesurement results of the torque trnsducer. Externlly conicl bolts re pulled into conicl bores in the ttchment prts nd the collr bushings of the disk pcks by tensioning screws. The conicl shpe produces forces which widen the collr bushings nd the ttchment prts rdilly elsticlly, thus gurnteeing bcklsh-free connection of the disk pck. For this bcklsh-free, positive locking connection, fr lower screw tightening torques re required in comprison to stndrd frictionlly locking connections. This mkes instlltion substntilly esier. The disk pcks nd the sleeves cn be instlled nd deinstlled rdilly without hving to move the respective ggregtes. De-instlltion For de-instlltion of the disk pck, the tensioning screw is screwed out nd together with the press cover screwed into the cone bolt on the opposite side. This loosens the cone bolt nd it cn be pulled bck xilly. In this wy, the disk pck nd the sleeve cn be de-instlled rdilly.

14 your relible prtner Technicl Explntions Coupling lignment Exct coupling lignment reduces the rection forces nd therefore increses the lifetime of the coupling nd the shft bering. This will ensure tht the mesurement line/drive line runs fr more smoothly. Permitted mislignment of the shft ends Should severl types of mislignment occur simultneously, they will influence ech other, i.e. the permitted mislignment vlues re dependent on one nother. The sum of the ctul mislignment s percentge of the mximum vlue must not exceed 00%, see exmple. Exmple (see Tble on pge 0 nd Fig. 5): ROBA -DS Size 300, Type = > An xil displcement of K = 0.6 mm equtes to 40 % of the permitted mximum vlue K = 0.4 mm. = > A simultneously occurring ngulr mislignment in the disk pck of K w = equtes to 30 % of the permitted mximum vlue K w = 0.6. = > From this, still-permitted rdil mislignment of K r = 30 % results from the mximum vlue K r = 0.08 mm, i.e. mximum mm is permitted.
