Opening Statements and key pints frm NHCPL: As nted in the RFP, current RFID system is aging and is becming prgressively harder t supprt. NHC IT is mving t the Windws 10 platfrm and current staff hardware is nt supprted in Windws 10. The release gal is t launch with ur Pleasure Island/Carlina Beach, NC lcatin which is a 600 square ft branch lcated within a shpping center. Frm there we want t install the system in ur new Pine Valley lcatin, which will be the migratin pint fr the Myrtle Grve Branch and is set t pen in January User friendliness and ease f use was again stated as a pririty. Slides were shwn f the artist renditin f the Pine Valley Facility and current RFID Kisks. PCI Cmpliance was reiterated fr payment systems, and appendix B was pinted ut. Cybersecurity is a cncern fr IT, especially in regards t anything with payment systems. Questins frm Attendees and answers: Questin # 1: Hw many desktp and free standing units are we lking at? 2 Questin # 2: What type f devices are n staff wrkstatins? RFID Equipment n Staff Wrkstatins: The Main library and Pleasure Island utilize Tagsys antennae frm the early 2000s with n discernable mdel number tagged. They are cnnected thrugh a Tagsys Medi LP101 unit and require use f ITG Sftware t functin. This setup is currently failing with Windws 10 n a handful f machines and updated drivers fr the Windws 10 envirnment are either nn-existent r extremely hard t track dwn as ITG is n lnger peratinal. Nrtheast Branch is using Tagsys Smartstatin 200 antennae cnnected thrugh the Medi LP101 unit. The public facing checkuts typically have Hneywell USB bardcde scanners as well as Epsn TM-T88IV receipt printers. Questin # 3: Which clearing huses d we wrk with? BB&T is ur banking cmpany and ur nline payment system, utilizes Authrize.Net as a clearing huse. We will duble check n that and include it in the fficial respnse. Questin # 4: May we have a diagram f current staff hardware and the devices in service n checkut machines as well as staff machines? Certainly. Currently the Medi LP101s are in service in the majrity f lcatins with lder antennae in use. Questin # 5: Hw many generatins f tags are we using? What mdels? Carla and Margaret can prvide a diagram f what mdels have been fund. Sme mdels date back t 1993, which are typically replaced when they are encuntered. Questin # 6: Are we interested in a feature that culd reprgram ur current RFID tags? Yes, but that is nt ne f the main gals f this prject and wuld be largely cst dependent. May we see the flr plans t the Pine Valley lcatin? Yes, Mr. Tuchmayer is furnishing digital cpies f the layuts. Questin # 7: What demgraphics d we serve? We have a wide ranging and fast grwing cmmunity that is knwn as a retirement and medical cmmunity but has a fast increasing number f Millennials mving int the area. Questin # 8: Are we interested in purchasing r leasing? We are nt interested in leasing. Questin # 9: Can we push back the date f the RFP Bids? Only if everyne is in 100% agreement t d s. Page 2 f 3
