1 General Faucet Installatin Instructins Step 1: Psitin the Faucet Begin installing yur faucet by placing the gasket and faucet in psitin n the sink. (Diagram A) Frm under the sink, thread the plastic munting nuts nt the faucet shanks. Be sure the large side f each plastic munting nut is up. (Diagram B) Frm the tp f the sink, check the faucet and gasket psitin. (Diagram C) Frm under the sink tighten the munting nuts, making certain nt t ver-tighten which culd damage the nuts and make them difficult t remve in the future. (Diagram D) Step 2: Attach the Water Supply Tubes Water is typically supplied t the faucet thrugh water-supply tubes. Wrap the threads f the water-supply valve with plumber tape. Althugh mst plumbers use nly plumber tape, sme plumbing supply manufacturers als recmmend using plumber's putty. (Diagram A) Thread the water supply nut nt the shut-ff valve. Tighten the nut with a wrench. (Diagram B) Wrap the threads n the faucet shank with plumber tape, and then thread the water supply nut nt the faucet shank. (Diagram C) Tighten the nut with a basin wrench. (Diagram D) Step 3: Cnnect the Faucet Lift Rd

2 Frm the tp f the sink, insert the lift-rd int the faucet. (Diagram A) Frm under the sink, make sure the pivt-rd is in the dwn psitin. Insert the lift-rd int the lift-rd strap. Tighten the screw. Frm the tp f the sink, make sure the lift-rd pens and clses the drain plug as desired. (Diagram B) Make any needed adjustments by lsening the lift-rd strap screw and repsitining the liftrd. If yu need t cnnect the lift-rd strap t the pivt rd, slide ne end f the spring clip nt the pivt-rd. Make sure that bth the pivt -rd and the lift-rd are in the dwn psittin. Insert the pivtrd in the clsest hle in the lift-rd strap. Slide the ther end f the pivt-rd. Make sure the lift-rd pens and clses the drain plug as desired. Make minr adjustments by lsening the lift-rd strap screw and repsitining the lift-rd. (Diagram C) Make majr adjustments by remving the spring clip and mving the pivt-rd t a different hle in the lift-rd strap. Step 4: Flush the Faucet Anytime yu wrk n plumbing, filings, chips, and ther debris can fall int the plumbing pipes. This debris can damage the sealing surfaces inside the faucet and cause leaks. Remve aeratr and black sealing gasket abve it. Befre turning n the water supply, make sure the faucet handles are pen (n psitin) in rder t remve the debris withut causing damage. (Diagram A) Open bth water supply valves under the sink. (Diagram B) Allw the water t run fr 15 secnds. (Diagram C) Clse the faucet handles (turn ff). Make sure any debris is cleaned frm the aeratr screen. (Diagram D) Replace the aeratr. (Diagram E)

8 3. Leaks frm base f the sput: Since the water travels thrugh the hse, and nt the sput itself, a leak frm the base f the sput wuld be very unlikely. If this ccurs, check the cnnectin f the hse t the spray wand. If this cnnectin is secure and nt leaking, then check the hse fr damage. Replace the hse if it is damaged r leaking.
