1 Hub/Remte Operatins in versin 3.0 In StckTrac Enterprise 3.0, the Hub and Remte perate quite a bit differently than they did in 2.0. In 2.0, the shps stred their business fr the day int daily files which were transferred t the hub fr prcessing. The hub wuld need t prcess fr each shp and then return files back, using Pcanywhere t d these transfers. The whle cncept fr Hub/Remte peratins in 3.0 is different. Nw we have direct cnnectins t the remte shps frm the hub. With these direct cnnectins (nt using Pcanywhere), we are able t replicate the data back and frth as ften as yu d like. N lnger d yu need t wait fr the end f the day t see hw the shps are ding. Als, the hub nw just des the replicatin and des nt have t d the separate step f prcessing the data thrugh the Sales r Utilities Mdule. The act f replicating will transfer files t the hub, prcess them at the hub, and send changes back t the shp all in ne step. This creates an envirnment where the hub and shp shuld always be cmpletely in sync. The replicatin prcess is triggered frm the hub system either manually r scheduled. As a result f this new thught prcess, yu will need t be aware f which items will be replicated frm the hub t the shp. In v2.0, yu culd make changes t things n the hub which did nt transfer back t the shp that is n lnger the case. Because f this, it is imprtant that peple running the hub system understand what infrmatin will g frm the hub t the shp. Als, be aware that the infrmatin listed belw is separate fr each f yur shps. Therefre, this entire set f infrmatin will replicate frm the hub t the shp separately fr each shp in yur system. 6 File Transmissins in the new Hub/Shp Envirnment There are several files that culd be set t send autmatically in versin 2.0, and that culd happen at either the shp r the hub. In versin 3.0, this needs t be handled differently because the hub n lnger des the daily prcessing (as in clsing days) which was the trigger fr ding the send frm the hub. If yu want files t be sent autmatically, then they shuld nw be sent frm the shps s that the daily (r weekly r mnthly) clse ut can trigger the data send t happen. If yu wish, yu can still send yur data frm the hub lcatin, but yu will need t take the manual send ptins t d that. Belw is a list f the data sends that are affected. There are a few f these that ONLY can g frm the shp because f the different ptins and settings. If it is pssible t d these as a manual send frm the hub, it will be marked as such.
