7 Purpse & Need Purpse: Prvide an intermdal facility that will accmmdate existing and future intercity passenger rail ridership; imprve intermdal cnnectivity within the City f Ann Arbr and its neighbring cmmunities, including prpsed cmmuter rail; and imprve the integratin f the statin within the City f Ann Arbr. 7

10 Parking Needs Estimate Amtrak request: 870 parking spaces Team perfrmed an analysis reaching a similar cnclusin fr intercity travel Amtrak s initial estimate was much higher (2,200 spaces, based n lng-distance travel mdel and nt reflecting urban cntext) Additinal spaces wuld be needed fr intercity bus and cmmuter rail N change t the ftprint f the parking structure 10
