2 Monthly Electrical Energy Overview il 215 Temperatures in il 215 were milder than the reference temperatures (+.6 C), and are close to those noted in il 214. It was noted that demand, generation and exchange indicators, were at levels similar to those observed last year at the same time. Corrected for climate factors, overall demand confirmed its downward trend. The recovery of the sector of large-scale industry did not make up for the lower demand from professionals and individuals and SMI/SME. As a result of mild temperatures, the thermal power generation fell to a level similar to il 214. The renewable energy sectors, exc. hydropower, increased relative to 214 making it possible to offset the difference observed with hydropower generation. The overall mix was thus similar to that of il 214. The photovoltaic sector registered a new record of monthly generation with more than 8 supplied this month, thanks to favourable meteorological conditions and an increase of almost 15% of the installed park in one year. France had a very positive export balance, similar to that observed in il 214, despite an import balance with Germany. It should be noted that the export balance with Spain is 48. Twelve works were commissioned in il 215 over the RTE network a means of compensation, an autotransformer, two overhead links, four underground cables, an overhead/underground link and three stations. 3 Monthly Electrical Energy Overview il 215 CONSUMPTION Temperatures in il 215 were milder than the reference temperatures (+.6 C), and are close to those noted in il 214. Consequently, gross monthly demand was at the same level as last year. Corrected for climate factors, overall demand confirms its downward trend. The recovery of the sector of large-scale industry did not make up for the lower demand from professionals and individuals and SMI/SME. GENERATION The nuclear sector achieved a level identical to that of il 214 and represents 75% of the monthly energy mix. Hydropower generation, was slightly below that of il 214, and reached an average generation of 79MW. The other sectors of renewable energies increased relative to last year which offset the difference noted with regard to hydropower generation. Thermal fossil fuel generated 175, practically the same as that of il 214, which marks a change with three consecutive months of generation significantly higher than the 214 values. This should be compared to the particularly mild temperatures this month, similar to those observed last year at the same period, unlike previous months. The overall mix was thus similar to that of il 214. WIND AND PV The photovoltaic sector registered a new record of monthly generation with more than 8 supplied this month, thanks to favourable meteorological conditions and an increase of almost 15% of the installed park in one year. The wind turbine sector reached a level for the month that was up compared with il 214, but nevertheless down compared with the three previous months. INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES In il 215, France had an export balance slightly lower than 4,, similar to that observed last year at the same period. The minimum balance was an import balance on four occasions this month. The significant German wind and photovoltaic generation led to an import balance with this country higher than il 214, even though down compared with the previous month. The balance with Spain is a significant export balance, which contrasts with il 214 which was an import balance of 163. Finally the balance with Italy was comparatively higher in il 214. NETWORK DEVELOPMENT Twelve works were commissioned in il 215 over the RTE network a means of compensation 225 kv, an autotransformer 225 kv, two overhead links 63 kv, three underground cables 225 kv, an underground cable 63 kv, an overhead/underground link 63 kv and three stations 225 kv.
