Twisty roads up on side of the mountain and more down the other side. This is always a fun trip. 2 A Message From The President Ken Mauer is still traveling with his job, so I am putting this together so please excuse my mistakes or omissions. I want to thank everyone who participated in our Consour s de Elegance at Edwin Warner Park. Even with the threat of rain, there was none and we had 53 registered cars in attendance. Plenty of awards were given out and there were some fine cars there to enjoy, along with lunch from Delta Bound food truck. If you registered and weren t able to attend, you can still pick up the t-shirt from me next event. There were obvious omissions on car registrations with no trophy s given out for Cayenne s nor Panamera s. As I have said before, a Porsche is a Porsche is a Porsche. Bring out those 4-door beauty s and enjoy yourself and your car like the rest of us. Thanks a bunch to Porsche of Nashville who was our primary sponsor. We didn t give out the Dealer Choice award so we might try to have another car show (not concours) later this year and give someone this nice trophy. Thanks also to our PCA friends in Huntsville, Knoxville and Louisville who attended our concours. Thanks for enduring the rain to join us. Thanks also to Duncan Sutphen for finding that crazy twisty road from Livingston to Crossville TN we drove on May 4. That was a real mountain road with lots of switchbacks and even a German shepherd standing in the middle of the road around a blind corner. That may have created some wet pants in the seat. It scared the crap out of me and Shirley. After a fun drive, we ended up in Cookeville at a nice Italian restaurant for lunch. Thanks Duncan for leading the drive. WE have some fun events coming up later in the year. Joe Questel and his little helpers will lead tours to some familiar places and some not so familiar so please join us. Also note in this newsletter that Carolinas Region is having Sommerfest in Ashville NC on Aug 1-3, 2014 with a people s choice concours (can you say show and shine), plus rally, banquet, local tours and such. This will be a fun, laid back weekend in the mountains and I will be there along with Dan Martin and wives. Please join us for some cool fun in the mountains. See brochure in this newsletter. PAGE 2

9 For Sale - Porsche Carrera S II 19 Wheels and Michelin PS2 Tires These wheels & tires were originally on a 2009 Porsche 911S. I had the OEM Carrera S II wheels powdercoated and pin-striped in Sept The tires are Michelin PS2's and I'd say have ~60-70% tread life remaining. Sizes / offsets: Front wheels -- 19" x 8"; ET 57 Rear wheels -- 19" x 11"; ET67 Front tires /35ZR19 (87Y) Rear tires /30ZR19 (100Y) The wheels include the OEM TPMS monitors and black center caps with colored crest. I can't guarantee that the TPMS monitors are still active as they have not been on a car in quite a while. One of the rear wheels has some very light scratches on it which are only visible up close/in direct light; I don't think you can see them in the pics. Other than that, they're in perfect condition - straight, true and no curb rash. The red pin stripe is a perfect match to the red calipers on the Carrera S models. One of the tires was plugged and patched at JPA Nashville due to picking up a small nail but presented no issues while on the car. Club T-shirts $20 Available at meetings & events Asking $2,100 for the complete set of (4) wheels and tires (including TPMS and center caps). 11 NAMETAGS FOR PICK-UP Many members have paid for nametags, but haven t been to a meeting lately to pick it up. Please come and pick up your nametags. Club Name tags $5 Because of cost increases in name tags, your club is paying more now for each name tag ordered. We also have an inventory of 36 name tags ordered at a dinner meeting, and member has not been seen since. If you ordered a name tag, please come to our next meeting to pick up. If you aren t sure, me and I will confirm whether you have a name tag in my bag. We will continue to order name tags for members, but cost will return to $5 each which is a good price considering the quality of the name tag. Feel free to wear these at other car club events, including Cars & Coffee, Winterfest, etc. I also have magnets for those members with pin backs who would prefer magnets (thanks Eric).
