6 Keeneland Concours 2010 July 17 th 2010 This years featured marquee was Ferrari at the Keeneland Concours in Lexington KY. The event has quickly become one of the most prestigious concours in the country, and always has some of the most exotic and rare automobiles in attendance year after year. If you have never attended this event it is definitely something you need to attend. Mark your calendar for next year and plan to attend this premier event.

7 Rennfest 2010 Labor Day Weekend Dear friends and neighbors of Peachstate Region, We are celebrating "Rennfest" this Labor Day weekend, and would like to invite anyone from your Region who might like to attend. If you will post our announcement in your news letters and/or website we would consider it a great favor. Thanks in advance, Hal Bayless Rennfest Chair Please join us the Peachstate Region "Rennfest" multi event weekend at Brasstown Valley Resort in the beautiful and cool north Georgia mountains. We pack a concours, an autocross, an RC autocross, a rally, and a tech quiz competition all into one action packed weekend. Rennfest is a great opportunity to enjoy old Porsche friends and make a few new ones too. We welcome other PCA Regions to join our friendly competition. Included in your $ per person registration is our hospitality suite Friday evening and Saturday, dinner Saturday evening, and the "Awards Banquet" Sunday evening. Registration also includes all those multi event activities that you choose to participate in. Brasstown Valley enjoys beautiful mountain weather this time of year. 10 High Performance Driving Event Nashville Superspeedway Road Course August 21, 2010 *** Click Here To Register *** Summer is in full swing and there s no better time to get out and enjoy the track! Come join Autosport Events at Nashville Superspeedway for one of our popular High Performance Driving Events (HPDE). Driving Nashville Superspeedway is a unique experience unlike any other track in our area. Experience the thrill of the banked NASCAR tri-oval and technical infield road course. The sportscar community is growing faster than ever in Middle TN and areas around us. This is a great opportunity to come out and meet enthusiasts from all around. We typically have a wide array of makes/models which creates a very social atmosphere among our participants. Come meet other drivers just like yourself! Here are a few details about the event: Instructors provided FREE for Beginner/Novice classes Garage spots available to get out of the summer heat HPDE insurance available to protect your investment Professional Photographer to provide shots of your car on track Do you have more questions about our HPDEs or know someone else that does? Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions and always feel free to contact me if you are unsure of anything. Frequently Asked Questions: All levels of driver are welcome. First-timers to veteran racers will all feel welcome. All cars are welcome. If your car is safe for the street, it s safe for our event. You don t need a fancy high-end race car to enjoy the track (although they ARE welcome). We do have some specific rules for convertibles so check the website for those. No special safety equipment required. The only thing you need to get on track is a helmet and the seatbelts that are already in your car! Your helmet must be Snell rated (most ARE) and can be a motorcycle or car helmet. No special tires or brakes needed. Your street tires and brakes will work perfectly for the track and are suggested for beginners.

11 Instructors are provided. For those of you that are new to the sport, there will be an experienced instructor riding in your car with you showing you the ropes. We have some of the top instructors in the southeast coming to the event so you ll be learning from the best! Open to all makes and models. We already have some amazing cars signed up so you ll have the opportunity to see many different types of cars of talk with their owners. You re guaranteed to make new friendships with other car enthusiasts. YOU WILL HAVE FUN! If you ve never done an event like this you ve been missing out! 13 Porsche Claims Overall and GT Victory at Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Posted: 24 Jul :55 PM PDT Klaus Graf (Germany) and Greg Pickett (USA), driving the Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder, outlasted the favored David Brabham/Simon Pagenuad Honda Performance Development prototype to score Porsche s first customer team overall win for the RS Spyder in North America. The car, which debuted a year ago at Mid-Ohio after Pickett purchased it from Dyson Racing, has now finished on the podium all ten times it has entered a race, with a class win at Sebring (LMP2) and now an overall victory at Lime Rock. Graf now trails Brabham/Pagenaud by only seven points in the championship chase with four races remaining (Pickett did not participate in one race, putting him behind in the points). In GT, Patrick Long ( USA ) and Joerg Bergmeister ( Germany ) bounced back from a disappointing fifth place two weeks ago in Salt Lake City to score their third win of the season in the Flying Lizard Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The victory also vaulted the pair back into the top spot in the driver standings by 14 points, and puts Porsche ahead of BMW in the manufacturers championship by one point. Greg Pickett started in the Porsche RS Spyder, and drove for the first 45 minutes, avoiding the three accidents which brought out three early yellow flags, and ran fast enough to stay in contact with the leaders. Both the Dyson Mazda and the Intersport Lola were sidelined with mechanical problems, so Graf found himself in second place with fresh tires with two hours to go, and a Honda in front of him that seemed content to not change tires.

14 When David Brabham got into the Honda with fresh tires and an hour to go, he pushed Graf to the limited, cutting a 13-second lead down to a half-a-second with four minutes to go, when Graf was forced to the inside of the track at the same time Brabham was trying to pass on the inside, and the cars touched. Graf received a stop-and-go penalty for blocking, while Brabham suffered a flat tire. They both came into the pits, but Graf got back on the track before Brabham, clinching the victory. Greg Pickett did a great job keeping in touch with the leaders for the first 45 minutes, and I knew I would have to push for my entire two-hour stint to beat Pagenaud and Brabham. It was hot and traffic was bad, but the Muscle Milk crew came through with great green-flag pit stops. The team engineers from Porsche and Michelin were key to our win, and we are proud to be the first U.S. customer team to score an overall win for the Porsche RS Spyder a great race car. We didn t take tires near the end at Salt Lake City, and we decided to give ourselves better grip here late, said Graf. On the stop-and-go penalty at the end, Graf said he had nowhere to go. I was forced to the edge of the track I did not even know Brabham was there. I didn t mean to block him, but I understand the officials have to call what they see. I did not know he had a flat tire until afterwards, and my stop-and-go beat his flat tire change out of the pits, said Graf. ALMS GT Class Patrick Long put the Lizard Porsche on the pole during a driving rain storm at the track on Friday, but pointed out that all the teams only had one dry warm-up session this morning to prepare the car for a dry race track for the two-hour, 45-minute event. Long, who finished the race at Laguna Seca in a similar fashion, edging out the BMW, thought this race topped that excitement.
