2 Club Activities Monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at the Golden Corral Family Steakhouse Restaurant in Dothan, Alabama. Dinner at 6:00 and meeting at 7:00 to discuss club events, business and upcoming activities. Mystery cruises to dine at a unique restaurant of the planner's choice which is always an enjoyable mini-cruise and sometimes a surprising meal. Car shows near and far for those that can attend and claim bragging rights for their Corvette. Dothan s annual Peanut Festival Parade where dignitaries ride and Corvettes rule. Dothan s annual Azalea Trail Parade escorting lovely ladies and special dignitaries. Attending local cruise-in shows or taking a trip to a distant place like Hendrick Motor Sports in North Carolina.

3 Of course club members occasionally volunteer their cars and services to local parades and functions. Growth in the club has also allowed it to benefit the local communities, funds are donated to those in need as requested by club members submitting an application for donations. The Circle City Corvette Club has, through the years donated time and money to numerous local charities. The Circle City Corvette Club began supporting the National Corvette Museum during the 1998 annual Beach Caravan. The Caravan had its first Corvette related auction, of which proceeds of $ , was presented to Jim Minneker, the National Corvette Museum Chairman at the time. The Circle City Corvette Club has continued the tradition of contributing auction proceeds to the museum, and the 2008 Beach Caravan auction exceeded all expectations with proceeds in excess of $15, donated.

4 The Circle City Corvette Club Annual Beach Caravan The Circle City Corvette Club hosts an annual Beach Caravan for Corvettes from Dothan, Alabama to Panama City Beach, Fl. Since 1980 Corvettes have met in Dothan and made their way to the world s most beautiful beaches in Panama City Beach, Fl. The Corvette caravan has grown from a group of less than 10 club member s Corvettes in 1980 to over 300 Corvettes from across the country in The event now attracts around 100 Corvettes annually representing many different Corvette Clubs from mainly the southeast but also states as far north as Ohio and Indiana. The festivities begin on a Thursday with guest registration at Solomon Chevrolet in Dothan followed by a dinner that evening with a silent auction where money is raised for local charities. Friday morning all the Corvettes gather at the Peanut Festival Fairgrounds parking lot and caravan down to Panama City Beach. It is truly an awesome sight to see 100 Corvettes heading down highway 231 in a long line waving at all the passerby s. Friday evening we have a meet and greet at Pineapple Wiley s in Panama City Beach and get a chance to just sit down and get to know each other better. Special guests such as, the Corvette engineers from Detroit, Corvette Plant supervisors and engineers from Bowling Green Kentucky, join us and give seminars on the Corvette on Saturday morning. They help Corvette owners with questions on their cars throughout the weekend, and they meet our guests and their Corvettes even better at our Corvette display on Saturday. Additionally, the Corvette Museum Store comes each year and offers great Corvette merchandise for sale. We have a banquet on Saturday evening and present awards from the Corvette display. The special guests each select a Corvette that they found to be not only a beautiful car at the Corvette display, but they also talk to the owners to hear their stories on why they like Corvettes and their Corvette experiences. We then have an auction of Corvette items following dinner. The auction raises money for the Corvette Museum. We average around ten thousand dollars a year from the auction and over the last years we used the money to buy 5 acres at the Corvette Museum Race Track. The Circle City Corvette Club has purchased more acres than any other club in the country! It is a fun, relaxing and interesting event set in a very casual atmosphere.
