Wen replacing an insert, te replacement sould be made only after completely removing any cips or oter foreign matter from te tool clamping area on te older by using compressed air, etc. Never tigten te insert mounting scres en an insert as not been installed since doing so can deform te scres and prevent te future installation of an insert. Flex-Tool as a mecanism in ic te end cutting edge angle is formed by accepting a cutting force. In external grooving, tere is a possibility tat if te cutting conditions (feed and dept of cut) are set too ig, te programmed diameter ill not be acieved. To prevent tis problem, it is necessary to perform a compensation in te program by an amount tat is equal to te amount A'-A tat is son in te draing on te rigt. Definition of Max and Min diameter of face grooving In face grooving, a specific blade sould be selected depending on te diameter. Please ceck te catalog for details. D2 sos te max diameter and D1 sos te min diameter in te range. In diameters of tis range, te tool doesn t interfere it groove. If expanding te groove to larger diameter tan D2, tere is no interference. If expanding groove to smaller diameter tan D1, te tool may interfere it groove all. 5 Precautions for turning Wen traversing, te tool is bent by cutting force and te end cutting edge angle is formed. If traversing it large dept of cut or ig feed rate, te flexure of tool becomes larger and te macined diameter may be different from programmed value. To prevent tis, trial macining and correcting te condition based on te difference beteen programmed and macined values are required.
