Q2 The two exampes of modes that meet the minimum requirements are a GRADALL XL400V and a Manitex 470TM. The GRADALL XL400V is a three axe machine and the Manitex 470TV is a two axe machine. The GRADALL XL400V is a three axe machine and wi be street ega with a Hi-Rai system. The Manitex 470TM is a two axe machine and wi be overweight on the axes when mounting a Hi-Rai system on the machine. Do you want a two axe machine or a three axe machine? R2: Metra wi accept a two or three axe machine with a gross vehice weight of a minimum of 40,000 pounds and a maximum of 80,000 pounds. 3 EXHBT -N Revised 0/20/7 Specifications nvitation for Bid No Teescopic Wheeed Excavator w/hi Rai System Objective: Metra is requesting bids from quaified vendors to purchase one () Teescopic Wheeed Excavator with Hi-Rai System. Exampes of equipment meeting the minimum requirements are a Grada XL400V and a Manitex 470TM. f quoting an equivaent, vendor to provide technica data sheets, specification brochures and other reated information. Metra wi make a technica evauation to determine that the product meets Metra"s minimum requirements. These units wi be deivered as compete and ready for use upon deivery. Genera Conditions: Current Mode: Units furnished under this specification sha be the atest improved mode in current production, as offered to commercia trade, buit for the u.s. market, and sha be of quaity workmanship and materia. A equipment offered under this specification must be new. The mode furnished must have been in production for a minimum of one year, or be the atest version of a previous mode. Bidders may be required to submit documentation substantiating the aforementioned requirements. Safety Standards: A equipment must conform to a the atest Federa Motor Vehice Safety Standards, 0.S.H.A. Standards, where appicabe, must be incuded whether or not specified. A equipment must meet EPA noise eve standards. Authorized Deaer/Distributor: For bids invoving the furnishing of equipment that are subject to manufacturers warranties that require sae or instaation by authorized deaers or distributors, the Contractor must be the manufacturer or an authorized deaer/distributor of the proposed manufacturer and be capabe of providing genuine parts, assembies and/or accessories as suppied by the manufacturer. Further, the Contractor must be capabe of furnishing origina product warranty and manufacturers reated services, such as product information, product and reca notices etc....?: The successfu bidder sha furnish (2) operator's instruction manuas; (2) shop repair manuas and (2) parts manuas. Demorystration: Metra reserves the right to require a demonstration, under actua working conditions, of equipment bid under this specification before the award is made. The demonstration woud be performed (free of charge) by the bidder or an authorized representative at a mutuay acceptabe ocation. f requested, the bidder shoud be prepared to demonstrate the equipment within thirty (30) days after notification. Faiure of the bidder to perform a satisfactory demonstration within the specified time may be grounds for rejection of the bid. W?arranty: n addition to Metra"s standard warranty provisions in boier pate, equipment purchased under this specification sha be warranted against defects in materia and workmanship for a minimum period of tweve (2) months (365 days) from date unit is paced in operation by Metra.
