1 CITY OF TACOMA ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM NO. 2 DATE: March 30, 2017 REVISIONS TO: Request for Bids Specification No. ES F METAL SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING CONTAINERS NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: This addendum is issued to clarify, revise, add to or delete from, the original specification documents for the above project. This addendum, as integrated with the original specification documents, shall form the specification documents. The noted revisions shall take precedence over previously issued specification documents and shall become part of this contract. REVISIONS TO THE SUBMITTAL DEADLINE: The submittal deadline remains the same. REVISIONS EXHIBIT A-TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 1) Bullet I. 4.a), has been replaced with the following: a) Fork pockets shall be constructed of 11-gauge steel minimum, 36 inch long formed channel opening, 9 inches high by 4 inches wide; reinforced with three ¼- inch gussets, both top and bottom. Fork pockets shall be welded to the box with 2-inch skip welds every 3 inches along all seams. Exception, the 2yd front load style boxes should have a 24 inch long formed channel opening. 2) Bullet II. 6.a), has been replaced with the following: a) Plastic, solid metal, and Screen lid options shall fit 12 to 22 ft. containers. 3) Bullet II. 6. h), has been replaced with the following: h) Plastic panels are to be a minimum of ¼-inch HDPE Plastic with UV Stabilizers and corrugations sufficient to support at a minimum of 300-pounds per panel. Attached to frame using Seal-Tek screws spaced 8 inches to 12 inches apart around the entire perimeter of the lid. Solid metal lid top panel is to be 24-gauge galvanized sheets attached to lid frame using Seal-Tek screws. Screen lids must use 14-gauge 2x1 welded wire mesh, spot welded every 2 feet to secure to the frame. REVISIONS APPENDIX A- PRICE PROPOSAL SHEET: The form has been replaced in its entirety and attached at the end of this document. NOTE: Acknowledge receipt of this addendum by initialing the corresponding space as indicated on the signature page. Vendors who have already submitted their bid/proposal may contact the Purchasing Division at and request return of their bid/proposal for acknowledgment and re-submittal. Or, a letter acknowledging receipt of this addendum may be submitted in an envelope marked Request for Bids Specification No. ES F Addendum No.2.
