The range hood shoud extend a minimum of 5 inches out from the bottom front of the cabinets. Reaching over a heated cooking surface coud resut in a serious burn. Mobie home instaation The instaation of this range must conform to the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards, Tite 24 CFR, Part 3280 (formery the Federa Standard for Mobie Home Construction and Safety, Tite 24, HUD, Part 280); or when such standard is not appicabe, the Standard for Manufactured Homes Instaations (Manufactured Home Sites, Communities and Setups), ANSI A225.1/NFPA 501A, or with oca codes*. When this range is instaed in a mobie home, it must be secured to the foor during transit. Any method of securing the range is adequate as ong as it conforms to the standards isted above. Four-wire power suppy cabe must be used in a mobie home instaation. The appiance wiring wi need to be revised. See four-wire eectrica connection, Pane B. Copies of the standards isted may be obtained from: Nationa Fire Protection Association Batterymarch Park Quincy, Massachusetts Important: Observe a governing codes and ordinances. If codes permit and a separate grounding wire is used, it is recommended that a quaified eectrician determine that the grounding path is adequate. Do Not ground to a gas pipe. Check with a quaified eectrician if you are not sure range is grounded. Do Not have a fuse in the neutra or grounding circuit. Ony a power suppy cord kit rated at 250 vots, 40 amperes and investigated for use with ranges shoud be used. Do Not pug the pigtai power cord into a ive wa receptace before the cord is permanenty connected to the termina bock. Anti-tip bracket: The foor anti-tip bracket MUST be instaed. The ground must be revised so the green grounding wire of the four-wire power suppy cord is connected to the cabinet. When a four-wire receptace of NEMA type 14-50R is used (See Figure ), a matching U.L.-isted, four-wire, 250~vot, 40-ampere, range power suppy cord (pigtai) must be used. This cord contains four copper conductors with ring terminas on the appiance end, terminating in a NEMA Type 14-50P pug on the suppy end. The fourth (grounding) conductor must be identified by a green or green/yeow cover and the neutra conductor by a white cover. Cord shoud be Type SRD or SRDT with a U.L.- isted strain reief and be at east four feet ong. The MINIMUM conductor sizes for the copper four-wire power suppy cord are: 40-ampere circuit 2, No.-8 conductors 1, No.-10 white neutra 1, No.-8 green grounding JD.I Three-wire instaation if a four-wire system is not avaiabe: Loca codes may permit the use of a U.L.-isted, 250-vot, 40-ampere range power suppy cord (pigtai). This cord contains three, No.-10 copper wires and matches a three-wire receptace of NEMA Type o-50r, shown in Figure 2. Connectors on the appiance end must be ring terminas. A U.L.-isted strain reief must be used to connect the power suppy cord to the range. E- This range shoud be connected directy to n the fused disconnect or circuit breaker box - through fexibe, armored or non-metaic sheathed, copper cabe (with grounding wire). Locate the junction box to aow two to three feet of sack in the ine so that the range can be moved if servicing is ever necessary. Do Not cut the conduit. A U.L.-isted conduit connector must be provided at each end of the power suppy cabe (at the range and at the junction box). Wire sizes and connections must conform to the requirements of the Nationa Eectrica H Code, ANSVNFPA 70 - atest edition (*, see E Pane A) and a oca codes and ordinances for the kiowatt rating of the range (40-amperes).
