10 Compact modues AXC The compact inear axes of the AXC series are universay appicabe as singe-axis or in combination with other axes from this series or inear axes from our system range (AXS) in compex mutipe-axis systems. Integrated couping Friction-ocked torque transfer is achieved using a couping screwed down with a puey. This torque transfer aso ensures a permanent backashfree and wear-free connection compared with conventiona feather key coupings, even in the highest dynamic range. Scraper brushes The scraper brushes reiaby remove major contamination from the cover strip and auminum section. Cover strip A cover strip of tried and tested design protects the interior guidance and drive system from contamination. The guide roers of the cover strip ensure ow-friction operation. The specia geometry aso ensures an optima seat for the cover strip even in overhead instaations. 8

11 Variabe guidance system The variabe use of roer guides or caged ba inear guides aows optima adaptation to the appication. Convenient reubrication A AXC-type inear axes with ba screw or ba rai system are fitted with ubricating nippes on both sides to aow the best possibe accessibiity. The screw-type drive and inear guidance are individuay regreasabe to ensure optima ubricant suppy for both. Synchronous bet tension Radiay adjustabe mounting of the defection puey ensures 100% adjustabiity and reproducibiity for the prescribed bet tension. This technoogy aows re-tensioning of the bet without having to remove the oad in case of servicing. 9

12 Parae modues AXDL Profies with high rigidity The cosed profies offer high rigidity especiay in designs with synchronous bet drive. Reubrication Guidance system and ba screw are individuay regreasabe. Lubricating points are ocated on both front ends of the tabe top. Sea The drive end of the synchronous bet axis is protected by a scraper brush. 10

13 Ease of Service The moduar design owers maintenance costs during servicing. The synchronous bets, cover strips and return pueys of the cover strips can be repaced without having to remove the tabe or the oad. Optiona variants of drive and guidance system Aternative guidance systems consist of two parae guides equipped with crossed roers or two caged ba inear guides. The stee shafts of the roer guide are anchored in the profie at an ange of 45. Avaiabe drive systems are a synchronous bet or precision ba screw. Sea Side gaskets on the tabe and speciay shaped cover strips protect the guide and drive system from contamination. The cover strips are adapted to the tabe. Fet wipers safey remove contamination from cover strips and profie. 11

14 Linear tabes AXLT For appications with high oads, especiay torque oads, SNR inear tabes from the AXLT series provide exceent soutions. The integrated ba screw drive ensures precise movements even under the highest oads. Two parae ba rai systems ensure that high torque oads are safey absorbed. A interna components such as the screwtype drive, the guidance system and the switch may be protected from externa forces by optiona beows. Fastening Depending on mounting position and size, our inear tabes can be screwed from above or beow using the siding bocks, thanks to the structure of the base board. Limit switch sensors Interna inductive proximity switches or externay attached mechanica imit switches are avaiabe as imit stop devices. 12

15 Teescopic axes AXS SNR teescopic axes are distinguished by their optimay synchronized guidance systems and synchronous bet/rack and pinion drive combination. They are especiay suitabe for use in confined instaation spaces. Our modues are suitabe for both vertica and horizonta appications, with the same dimensions and can achieve speeds of up to 10 m/s. Teescopic axes can be deivered in combination with our gantry axes as a compete system or buit into existing systems or new concepts as an individua modue. Drive Teescopic function through a combined drive comprising of a rack-andpinion and synchronous bet drive. Lubrication Optima ubricant suppy is ensured for the rack and pinion drive by the use of a permanent ubrication system in combination with a fet-toothed whee. Shock absorbers Standard structura shock absorbers are used as mechanica imit switches. 13

16 Lifting axes with rack and pinion drive AXS SNR ifting axes are predominanty used in the fied of vertica handing in inear and surface gantries due to the high dynamic oad transmission capacity of the rack and pinion drive. Weights of up to 1000 kg can be moved thanks to the variabe profie design and the rigid parae construction of the ba rai system. Lubrication Optima ubricant suppy is ensured for the rack and pinion drive through the use of a permanent ubrication system in combination with a fet-toothed whee. Shock absorbers In a vertica mounting position, structura shock absorbers are used for the mechanica stop position imit. These shock absorbers are dimensioned according to the maximum oads of the various instaation sizes. 14

17 Gantry axes AXS Gantry axes are characterized by high oad capacity and tota engths of up to 10 m. Modues with synchronous bet drive are avaiabe for highy dynamic appications. Since caged ba inear guides are aso used in these inear axes, they are distinguished by their exceptionay quiet running, even at high speeds. For appications where ong ifting distances and the rigidity of the drive components are major considerations, our rack-and-pinion-driven inear axes offer mutipe possibiities, since a the basic components, such as auminum sections, guide bars and the rack and pinion can be extended to virtuay any ength to enabe on-site assemby. In these variants severa carriage units can aso be moved on one axis independenty of each other. Damper For SNR gantry axes, ony hydrauic buffer shock absorbers are used as mechanica imit switches. 18 The guidance systems Ba rai systems Caged ba inear guides are avaiabe for a sizes of our inear modues. The caged ba system aows the guide to run smoothy and quiety. The resuts are minimum noise emissions, high-speed running, up to 8 m/s and ong maintenance intervas. Depending on the instaation size, one of various designs of inear contros may be seected to ensure optima adaptation of the rai guide to the appication. Consequenty, high guidance accuracy is ensured, even at arge oads. Guidance type S Guidance type H Guidance type S (for AXC40) Guidance type W Idea for radia oads. 19 Roer guide A sizes from the AXC and AXDL series are avaiabe in aternative versions with a roer guide system. This system consists of roers which ro on burnished, tempered stee shafts incorporated in the auminum section. The stee shafts are permanenty suppied with ubricating ois from an oi reservoir that can be refied from the outside. Thanks to the eccentric mounting of the two roers the guidance system can be precisey adjusted, thus maintaining the correct initia preoad or zero backash set at the factory. This technoogy provides for exceent running properties. Load-bearing capacities The dynamic oad-bearing capacities of both guidance systems are based on a nomina service ife of 54,000 km for synchronous bet drives and 27,000 km for screw-type drives. Where static aternating oads are invoved, the dynamic imit vaues need to be taken into account when dimensioning. 20 The drive systems Synchronous bet drive The synchronous bet drive is used primariy for fast handing and positioning tasks since speed is the primary objective. A sizes from the AXC series are equipped with AT-type synchronous bets. Integrated pueys The integrated pueys aow an optima ratio between ift and tota ength as we as a continuous auminum section. The advantages for the user are an extremey compact instaation and significanty greater fexibiity in the fastening of the inear axis. Synchronous bet camping The bet camp aows the high strength joining of the synchronous bet so that its fu oad-bearing capacity is retained. 18

21 Synchronous bet drive in Omega design The Omega drive is a variant of the synchronous bet drive. Bet camping The synchronous bet camping is ocated at the ends of the inear axis where the entire bet width is used. Drive The drive components (puey, defection pueys) are buit into the carriage. Dynamics Optimized for high dynamic performance with ight to average oads in a vertica mounting position due to the ow moving dead mass, as the drive is mounted on the stationary carriage. 19

22 The drive systems Screw-type drive Screw-type drives, especiay ba screws, is used where high where high positioning and repeat accuracies are required in combination with high rigidity of the drive eements. Trapezoida thread drives with various pitches are aso avaiabe for simpe ow-speed movements. Spinde support At higher speeds our screw-type drives are equipped with corresponding spinde supports to ensure secure operation. Accuracy / Quaity In the standard versions, our AXC and AXLT inear modues are equipped with roed ba screw spindes (pitch accuracy: 52 µm/ 300 mm) and ow-backash nuts. Ba screws with higher pitch accuracies and pre-stressed nuts are aso avaiabe for more sophisticated positioning tasks. 20

23 Rack and pinion drive Rack and pinion drives are avaiabe as another drive system for inear axes from the AXS series. Vertica appications in particuar prove extremey reiabe with this drive system. Long trave distances Rack and pinion extensions can be added for theoreticay unimited trave distances. Rack and pinion / Gearwhee Induction hardened racks and pinions and the associated gearwhees ensure high service ife. The rack and pinion drive offers the highest rigidity in a drive system, even under high oads. 21

84 Drive adaptation AXC / AXLT / AXDL Integrated panetary gearbox The AXC series with an integrated panetary gearbox is avaiabe where extremey high demands on accuracy and dynamics are required. In size 60 the panetary gearbox is directy integrated in the puey of the synchronous bet drive of the axis. In sizes 80 and 120 a puey friction-ock mounted on the drive shaft of the gearbox ensures zero-backash torque transfer. 86 Adapter/couping cone for synchronous bet drive In the simpest type of inking, the drive shaft of the gearbox or motor is directy inserted into the hoow shaft of the driving bet puey. The drive is screwed down through a fat adapter pate onto the inear axis. The feather key provides positive power transmission. However, the requirement for this is that the output shaft diameter coincides with the respective hoow shaft diameter of the axis (see axis data sheet). However, adaptation via the integrated cutch in combination with a couping cone is more common. The axis-side couping is screwed down onto the driving bet puey and due to the friction-ock torque transfer offers optima operationa safety even at high speeds. A arge seection of couping cones is avaiabe for standard drives with a standardized B5 fange. Drives with smooth shaft and shaft with feather key can be used. 84

94 Switches Switch add-on on AXC / AXLT / AXDL Mechanica switches in different protection casses as we as inductive proximity switches with the conventiona output circuits are avaiabe for position detection depending on requirements. In an emergency, to disconnect the drive before the mechanica stop buffer shock absorber is reached, the mechanicay activated switch is usuay used. These can aso be combined with externa inductive proximity switches to set additiona switching points for reference runs for exampe. A set of mechanica imit switches consists of two switches with fastening eements and a cam switch. (see picture 1) Our inductive proximity switch for groove instaation is the most compact variation. It ocks fush with the surface of the auminum profie of the axis and forms amost no disruption to the surface. The switches are obtainabe as PNP break contacts/make contacts or NPN break contacts. A set of inductive proximity switches consists of two switches with fastening eements and a cam switch. A switches are aready factory-instaed. (see picture 2) Professiona cabing can be simpy carried out with the standard sensor boxes in a few quick operations. (see picture 3) A switching signas are integrated here.
