The contro must be instaed in accordance with oca, state, and nationa safety codes. Make certain that the power suppy is disconnected before attempting to service or remove any components!!! If the power disconnect point is out of sight, ock it in disconnected position and tag to prevent unexpected appication of power. Ony a quaified eectrician or service personne shoud perform any eectrica troubeshooting or maintenance. At no time shoud circuit continuity be checked by shorting terminas with a screwdriver or other meta device. (4 LOT) NOTE: When mounting the contro, aow cearance above components to prevent shorting IE VIEW TOP VIEW IE VIEW TOP VIEW Caution: o not mount controer where ambient temperature is outside the range of 0 C (5 F) to 45 (5 F). INTALLATION Before attempting to wire the contro, make sure a power is disconnected. Recheck code designation to assure proper votage is present for the contro. Caution shoud be used in seecting proper size of hookup wire for current and votage drop. Note: the battery and armature wire size on 65E modes must be a minimum of gauge. HOOKUP IARAM WARNIN: O NOT REVERE POITIVE AN NEATIVE BATTERY LEA. THI WILL AMAE THE CONTROL. TO CHANE MOTOR IRECTION, INTERCHANE THE POITIVE AN NEATIVE ARMATURE LEA. Refer to the wiring diagrams beow for proper connection of C Votage, Armature, and peedpot wiring to the contro. CAUTION!! TURN POWER OFF WHILE MAKIN CONNECTION. To propery adjust the CURRENT LIMIT setting, a C ammeter shoud be paced in series with the armature ine. This meter can be removed after the contro is adjusted. (continued)

The shied of the cabe shoud connect to the Common termina of the contro. TRIMPOT AJUTMENT Before the power is appied, the speed potentiometer and trimpots shoud be preset as foows: TRIMPOT PREET. Preset speedpot fuy CCW, preset Max trimpot CW / way, preset Current Limit trimpot fuy CW, preset Min trimpot fuy CCW, preset Acce trimpot CW / way, preset I.R. trimpot fuy CW. C power can now be appied to the system and the contro adjusted as directed beow: TRIMPOT AJUTMENT. Increase the MIN trimpot in a cockwise direction unti the desired minimum speed is reached. 3. Turn the peedpot fuy cockwise and adjust the MAX trimpot unti the desired maximum speed is reached. 3 (continued on foowing page)
