10 Measure D: Freight Elemets Respose (Limit 1,400 characters; approximately 200 words) The Troutbrook Road coectio has bee plaed sice early It is evisioed to coect to Warer Road thus creatig a Truck ad Motor Vehicle bypass of Dowtow. This portio of that visio will alleviate a problem with truck traffic created durig the Lafayette Bridge recostructio. The orth exit from HWY 52 was relocated to the East ow coectig with East 7th Street by way of Tedesco Street. Trucks goig orth o Lafayette Road to access a idustrial area of the City must ow tur right from East 7th to Lafayette Road. Savoy Pizza is the busiess o this corer. Their buildig has bee hit by a truck ad had may ear misses by trucks makig this tur i the last 2 years. MNDOT has placed temporary barriers to protect the buildig. This project would give the trucks a much improved optio to access this area. This project could also be aother piece i completig a Dowtow truck bypass as evisioed i the 1980's.
