1 STG Doacloe: Field Prove ad Reliable Heavy-Duty Workhorse for Costructio & Off-Highway Applicatios That Doaldso's STG Doacloe is arguably the most commoly used air cleaer, o the widest variety of heavy-duty equipmet i the world, is a testamet to its reliability ad durability. With its two-stage air cleaig, heavyduty costructio, ad variety of cofiguratios, the STG works well i may heavy-duty applicatios like scrapers, crawlers, dumpers ad haul trucks. Powerful Two-Stage Filtratio The first stage of this powerful air cleaer cosists of a cluster of Doacloe tubes. They spi the icomig air to create a cetrifugal force that separates up to 95% of the dust ad dirt i the airstream. Doacloe tubes have o movig parts so there is othig to break dow or maitai. They fuctio properly wheever the egie is ruig. This pre-cleaed dust is collected i a dust cup o the bottom of the air cleaer housig. The secod stage of filtratio is the primary filter, a cylidricalshaped uit of specially-developed pleated filter media, desiged to trap ad stop dust particles, both large ad small. The result is air to your egie that is up to 99.9% cotamiat free! This STG Doacloe, mouted o a large miig machie, is protectig the egie from harmful dirt i this severely dusty eviromet. A safety filter, which fits iside the primary filter, is stadard o all models for protectio durig primary filter chageout. Physical orietatio does ot affect the proper fuctioig of either cleaig stage! The STG operates well mouted horizotally or vertically. (Note that if moutig horizotally, the Vacuator Valve optio o the dust cup is ecessary.) Moutig: Sturdy moutig brackets are attached to the top sectio of the STG; you will also eed to order oe separate moutig bad for the lower body. If you're replacig a wor out air cleaer, be sure to check ductwork, clamps, ad other itake system parts that may also eed replacig. STG air cleaers feature a corrosio-resistat, chemicalresistat polymer coatig. This black coatig is't pait, rather it's a pigmeted polyester that provides a log-lived, hard protective fiish. 111

The Doacloe tubes spi the air so that cetrifugal force causes the heavier dust particles to separate from the airstream. While these particles fall ito the dust cup at the bottom, the partially cleaed air is directed upward, ito the primary filter i the upper portio of the uit. 7 STG Doacloe Service Istructios 1 Measure Restrictio Measure the restrictio of the air cleaer with a Doaldso filter service idicator, service gauge, or a water maometer via the restrictio tap provided o the air cleaer or the trasfer pipe. Replace the filter oly whe the restrictio level has reached the maximum recommeded by the egie or equipmet maufacturer. 2 Empty the The dust cup should be dumped whe 2/3 full. (Frequecy of dust cup service varies with dust severity.) Whe reistallig dust cup, be sure it Check Tubes for Pluggig 3 Whe the dust cup is removed, check the tubes. Geerally, Doacloe ad Strata tubes are self-cleaig ad eed o service. Uder special circumstaces, however, pluggig ca begi. Visual ispectio is adequate. If the tubes carry light dust, remove it with a stiff brush. If heavy pluggig with fibrous material is evidet, remove the Strata or Doacloe sectio ad clea it with compressed air or water o hotter tha 72 C. Cleaig Note: Never clea Doacloe tubes with compressed air uless both the primary ad safety filters are istalled i the air cleaer. Chage the Filter Whe restrictio idicates that filter service is required, loose the wig ut ad remove the primary filter. If the ew filter is ot to be istalled immediately, be sure to the cover the ilet with a cloth or the housig cover so that dirt is ot igested. Before istallig the ew filter, ispect it for shippig damage ad gasket itegrity. If there is damage, DO NOT istall it! Do ot steam-clea Doacloe or Strata tubes. If the wig ut is held i place o the used filter with a C clip, remove it ad reistall o the ew filter. Carefully istall the ew filter ad the wig ut. Reset the filter service idicator to gree. seals aroud the air cleaer body. O dust cups with Vacuator Valve, dust cup service is miimal; just check the Vacuator Valve to see that it is ot iverted, damaged or plugged. If it is damaged, replace it immediately. Check System 5 Ispect ad tighte all air cleaer system coectios. If there are holes or damage, replace immediately. Ispect all gaskets for wor spots or damage.
