SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WATER SUPPLY (Cold Water Oly) Whe coectig to water supply mais, local regulatios of your muicipal water compay must be observed. I some areas coectig directly to public drikig water supply may require a backflow prevetio device. This is to esure that there is o feedback of chemicals ito the water supply. Use a water filter to avoid potetial damage from dirt i the water supply. Garde hose must be at least 5/8 ich iside diameter. 8 STEP 1: Pull the sprig-loaded collar of the wad back to isert your choice of quick coect ozzle. Release the collar ad push the ozzle utilthe collar clicks. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Be sure the machie is level whe checkig the oil level. (Refer to the egies operatig maual for seasoal grades). We recommed that the oil be chaged after the first 5 hours of use, the oce every 50 hours. STEP 4: Fill gas tak with uleaded gasolie. High pressure i ozzle area. Risk of ijury caused by improperly locked ozzle. Make sure you hear a "click" whe isertig the ozzle tip i to the wad. Pull the ozzle to make sure it is seated properly before operatig your uit. STEP 2: Attach the high pressure hose to the trigger gu. Do ot use leaded gasolie. Do ot add oil to the gasolie. STEP 5: Coect the high pressure hose to the high pressure outlet o the pump. STEP 6: Coect garde hose to uit's water ilet. Egie shipped without oil. Before startig egie, fill with oil. Do ot over-fill. Do ot ru the egie with a high or low oil level as this ca cause egie damage. If you have further questios regardig the egie, please refer to the egie maual icluded with the uit. STEP 3: Check oil level. Oil level should always be betwee the "FULL" ad "ADD" or "MAX" ad "MIN" marks o the dipstick as show i the picture below. STEP 7: Coect garde hose to the cold water source ad tur water completely o. Do ot use hot water. STEP 8: Ulock the trigger gu safety lock. Trigger the gu to elimiate trapped air, wait for a steady flow of water to emerge from the spray ozzle. STEP 9: Pull choke positio (RUN positio o a warm egie). 9 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS STEP 11: Pull the starter hadle. If the egie fails to start after 3 pulls, squeeze the trigger gu to release pressure, ad repeat step. 10 Detergets ca oly be applied with the black deterget ozzle. STEP 1: Istall the black deterget ozzle for deterget applicatio at low pressure. STEP 2: Fill the tak with Kärcher deterget diluted per maufacturer's istructios. WORKING WITH DETERGENTS STEP 3: With the egie ruig, pull trigger to operate uit. Liquid deterget is draw ito the uit ad mixed with water. Apply deterget to work area. Do ot allow deterget to dry o surface. STEP 4: Always draw fresh water through the deterget suctio tube whe the cleaig job is doe, to rise/flush ay remaiig detergets from the ijectio system. See Cleaig Tips for specific iformatio o how to clea differet surfaces. Detergets This uit has bee desiged for use with cleaig detergets recommeded by the maufacturer. The use of other cleaig deterget may affect the operatio of the machie ad void the warraty. Always Use Kärcher Deterget for Best Results Kärcher biodegradable detergets are specially formulated to protect the eviromet ad your pressure washer. The special formula wo't clog the suctio tube filter ad will protect the iteral parts of the pressure washer for a loger life. For Kärcher Detergets, check your retailer or visit our website: karcher.com/us Never use: Bleach, chlorie products or other corrosive chemicals Liquids cotaiig solvets (i.e., pait thiers, gasolie, oils.) STEP 2: Move the egie stop switch to the OFF positio. Close the fuel valve. STEP 3: Tur off the water source. STEP 4: Press trigger to release water pressure. Iitial Use All Kärcher pumps ship with oil already iside direct from the factory. There is o eed to add oil. Pump Ispectio You should routiely make a visual ispectio of the pressure washer s pump. If you otice oil leakig aroud the pump seals, you should take the pressure washer to a Kärcher-Authorized Service Ceter for repair. WINTERIZING AND LONG-TERM STORAGE It is highly recommeded to use Kärcher's Pump Guard (part umber ) before witer storage ad durig the cleaig seaso to protect the pump from freezig ad premature wear. STEP 1: Move egie ON/OFF switch to OFF positio. STEP 2: Discoect all hoses. STEP 3: Uscrew cap from Pump Guard bottle. STEP 4: Remove iteral seal.
