They are used o medium-duty applicatios lie geerator sets, agricultural tractors, bulldozers, drillig equipmet, marie egies, trucks, loaders, backhoe, lifttruck, costructio ad idustrial equipmet. The FPG series offers improved reliability ad durability with reduced weight ad costs. Despite its compact size, the FPG Air Cleaer offers complete egie air protectio removig % of the dust ad dirt particulate that eters the egie airstream. Ever sice Doaldso developed the first air cleaer i 19, we have worked closely with origial equipmet maufacturers to provide filtratio solutios to meet chagig desig ad specificatio requiremets for diesel egies. Medium Dust Coditios Because they are made of ijectio molded high-stregth plastic, FPG air cleaers offer the flexibility to overcome space limitatios for uderhood air cleaers. Doaldso employs iovative plastic materials ad productio techiques that result i air cleaers that are corrosio-free ad lighter i weight tha traditioal metal air cleaers - yet without sacrificig sturdiess. Our extesive vibratio testig reveals this to be a more durable desig tha most metal air cleaers. FPG + FPG Alexi Service Istructios 1 Remove the Filter Ufaste or ulatch the service cover for the FPG models.

Because the filter fits tightly over the outlet tube Rotate the to create the critical seal, there will be some filter while iitial resistace, similar to breakig the seal o pullig a jar.

If your air cleaer has a safety filter, replace it every third primary filer chage. Remove the safety filter as you would the primary filter.

Clea Both Surfaces of the Outlet Tube 2 ad Check the Vacuator Valve Use a clea cloth to wipe the filter sealig surface ad the iside of the outlet tube.

Dirt accidetly trasferred to the iside of the outlet tube will reach the egie ad cause wear. Egie maufacturers say that it takes oly a few grams of dirt to dust a egie!

4 Ispect the New Filter for Damage Ispect the ew filter carefully, payig attetio to the iside of the ope ed, which is the sealig area. NEVER istall a damaged filter.

Isert the New Radial Seal Filter Properly If you re servicig the safety filter, this should be seated ito positio before istallig the primary filter. Isert the ew filter carefully.

The critical sealig area will stretch slightly, adjust itself ad distribute the sealig pressure evely.

13 FPG + FPG Alexi Service Istructios 1 Remove the Filter Ufaste or ulatch the service cover for the FPG models. For the FPG Alexi models, the cover is ulocked with a yellow "figer", twisted to the left ad removed from the filter housig. NEVER use the service cover to push the filter ito place! Usig the cover to push the filter i could cause damage to the housig, cover fasteers ad will void the warraty. If the service cover hits the filter before it is fully i place, remove the cover ad push the filter (by had) further ito the air cleaer ad try agai. The cover should go o with o extra force. Oce the filter is i place, secure the service cover for the FPG models. For the FPG Alexi models, the cover is locked with a yellow "figer", twisted to the right. Medium Dust Coditios Outer edge of the outlet tube If your air cleaer is equipped with a Vacuator Valve Visually check ad physically squeeze to make sure the valve is flexible ad ot iverted, damaged or plugged. 3 Ispect the Old Filter for Leak Clues Visually ispect the old filter for ay sigs of leaks. A streak of dust o the clea side of the filter is a telltale sig. Remove ay cause of leaks before istallig ew filter. Ier edge of the outlet tube Cautio NEVER use the service cover to push the filter ito place! Usig the cover to push the filter i could cause damage to the housig, cover fasteers ad will void the warraty. 6 Check Coectors for Tight Fit Make sure that all moutig bads, clamps, bolts, ad coectios i the etire air cleaer system are tight.
