Should it prove impossible to remove the brake drum (119), tur back the automatic adjuster to release the brake shoes. Adjust automatic brake adjuster AR42.10-P GG *BE42.10-P A 4 Remove the lower retur sprig (1) from the brake shoe l * Uscrew the attachmet uts (3) holdig the bearig cover (4) to the axle tube 6 Pull out rear axle shaft (2) i Use cautio to avoid damagig the sesor's reluctor rig o vehicles equipped with a Atilock Brakig System (ABS). 7 Remove gasket betwee the bearig cap(s) (4) ad brake carrier plate d Istall 8 Isert gasket betwee bearig cap(s) ad brake carrier plate i Istall ew gasket. 9 Istall rear axle shaft (2). p The mark idicatig the halfshaft's directio of rotatio (arrows) must correspod to the actual directio i which the shaft turs whe the vehicle is movig forward. 5 7 Press the tapered roller bearig oto the rear halfshaft (1) p The L-shaped edge of the bearig's race should be istalled toward the locatig rig (3). Failure to istall i this positio will lead to uacceptable chages i the factory-specified bearig float. i Start by warmig the tapered roller bearig to approximately 80 C. 8 Apply a light coat of grease to the O-rig (5) *BR00.45-Z A ad place it agaist the locatig rig (3) 9 Grease tapered roller bearig *BR00.45-Z A 10 Positio lockig plate (7) ireplace lockig plate (7). 11 Screw o grooved ut (6) i Use cautio to avoid damagig the reluctor rig o vehicles equipped with Atilock Brakig System (ABS).
