3 4. Safety istructios ATTTON: mportat safety istructios. For persoal safety, it is importat to follow these istructios. Please keep these istructios for future referece. Do ot allow childre to play with statioary cotrols. Keep remote cotrols away from childre. The istallatio is to be checked regularly for defective balace, sigs of wear or damaged cables ad sprigs, if relevat. Do observe the movig su protectio system ad keep persos away util it has closed completely. Whe operatig the maual release with the su protectio system ope, please be cautious as it ca fall dow quickly if sprigs or tapes wear o or are broke. Do ot operate the device if operatios such as, for example, widow cleaig are to be carried out i the viciity. Follow all istallatio istructios, as icorrect istallatio ca lead to serious ijuries. Whe moutig the motor without ay mechaical protectio of the drive parts ad of the tube which may become hot, the motor must be istalled at a height of at least 2.5 m above the groud or of aother level which provides access to the drive. Before the motor is istalled, all cables which are ot eeded are to be removed ad all equipmet which is ot eeded for power-operated actuatio is to be put out of operatio. The actuatig elemet of a maual release must be mouted at a height of less tha 1.8 m. f the motor is cotrolled by a switch or pushbutto, the switch or pushbutto must be mouted withi eyeshot of the motor. The switch or pushbutto must ot be located i the viciity of movig parts. The height of istallatio must be at least 1.5 m above the floor. Permaetly istalled cotrol devices must be attached visibly. case of devices extedig horizotally, a horizotal distace of at least 0.4 m must be respected betwee the fully exteded part ad ay other fixed elemet. 3

4 The rated speed ad the rated torque of the motor must be compatible with the device. The moutig accessories that are used must be desiged i accordace with the selected rated torque. Good techical kowledge ad good mechaical skills are ecessary for the motor istallatio. correct istallatio ca lead to serious ijury. Electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electricia i accordace with the regulatios i force locally. Oly use coectig cables that are suitable with the evirometal coditios ad which meet the costructio requiremets. (see accessories catalogue) f the device is ot equipped with a coectig cable ad a plug, or other meas for discoectig from the mais with a cotact opeig o each pole accordig to the coditios of the overvoltage category for full discoectio, a discoectig device of this type must be icorporated ito the permaetly istalled electrical istallatio accordig to the wirig rules. Do ot mout the coectig cables ear hot surfaces. A plug for the discoectio of the motor from the power supply must be accessible after istallatio. Damaged coectig cables must be replaced by GEGER coectig cables of the same type. The device must be mouted as described i the istallatio istructios. Fixatios shall ot be made with adhesives sice they are regarded as ureliable. 6. Assembly ote Whe viewed from iside the room, the power supply coectio of the GJ56..e is located o the left side. The straps are woud o the widig rollers from the outside. The GJ56..e must be istalled i aligmet with the turig bars. t is importat that the GJ56..e is istalled cetrally. Please follow all istallatio istructios sice icorrect istallatio ca lead to the destructio of the motor ad the switchig uit. e1-e4: the settig of the ed stops requires a GEGER settig switch e5: the settig ca be realized with ay switch allowig simultaeous UP ad DOWN cotrols. e1-e4: a o-lockig switch (series switch) is eeded i order to reach the shade positio. See poit 10 Operatio. e5: a lockig switch is here ecessary (o simultaeous UP ad DOWN commads) The operatios with the service clamps may be accomplished oly by a electrical specialist. Motors with electroic limit stops ca be coected i parallel. this case the maximum load of the switchig uit must ot be exceeded. Whe chagig the ruig directio the switchover must be eected through a o-positio. Whe chagig the ruig directio the switchover time must be at least 0.5 s. With a three-phase etwork, please use the same exteral coductor i order to cotrol the UP ad DOWN directios. Coect the settig switch to the GJ56..e ad the plug i power supply 2. Press the programmig butto till the LED flashes (1 flash light, break, 1 flash light, break, ) the release the programmig butto. 3. Settig of the lower ed positio: press the directio keys to exactly ru the GJ56..e to the desired lower ed positio. 4. Press the programmig butto till the LED flashes (2 flash lights, break, 2 flash lights, break, ) the release the programmig butto 5. Settig of the upper ed positio: press the directio keys to exactly ru the GJ56..e to the desired upper ed positio. 6. Press the programmig butto till the LED keeps lightig. The adjustmet procedure is completed. Operatio f the shade positio/workig positio is ot used, the GJ56..e ca be operated with a stadard locked Veetia blid switch. f the shade positio/workig positio is used (e1-e4) a series switch which allows simultaeous UP ad DOWN commads is ecessary. The operatio is eected as described below: Actuate the key UP to ru the motor to the upper ed positio Actuate the keys UP ad DOWN at the same time to ru the motor to the shade positio/workig positio (e1-e4) Actuate the key DOWN to ru the motor to the lower ed positio 12. What to do if Problem Motor does ot ru. stead of i the upwards directio, motor rus dowwards. Motor oly rus i oe directio. After ruig several times, the motor breaks dow ad o loger respods. After settig of the lower ed positio the blid oly rus i DOWN directio. Solutio Motor ot plugged i. Please check the plug coectio. Check coectig cable for possible damage. Check the mais voltage ad allow the cause of the voltage break dow to be tested by a specialist electricia. The cotrol leads are iterchaged. Exchage black/brow cotrol leads. Motor i the ed positio. Ru motor i the opposite directio. Readjust teh ed positios, if ecessary. The motor became too hot ad has switched o. Try it agai after a coolig time of about 15 mi.
