Coverage Double-Lifetime Limited Warraty with Labor Residetial 10-Year Limited Warraty Commercial/ Multi-Residet Subject to the limitatios ad exclusios below, ad for the duratio of the applicable Warraty Period of the Residetial Warraty Holder or Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder (as defied below), Simoto Widows, Ic. ad Simoto Idustries, Ic. The three (3) year Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig Limited Warraty o viyl Product applies from the earlier of the date Product was shipped from Simoto or a authorized dealer; NOT trasferable. Warraty Trasfer Ay Warraty Trasfer described above will be deemed effective oly if the followig procedure is completed: (1) otice to Simoto withi 30 days after the trasfer of owership of the premises where the Products are istalled, (2) warraty trasfer form completed olie at Please ote you will be required to provide the Product order umber (bar code located i the sash head, sill or jamb of each Product). Warraty Holder Classificatios Residetial Warraty Holders: If the Product is istalled i (1) a ew residetial dwellig ad the first occupat ows the dwellig or (2) a existig ower-occupied residetial dwellig, ad i each case, at the time of istallatio such ower is also resposible for Product replacemet, the that ower is a Residetial Warraty Holder. For example, assume the Product is istalled i a codomiium uit (a dwellig ) i a multi-residet buildig. If the first occupat of the codomiium uit is the first ower of that uit ad is also resposible for Product replacemet, the that ower is a Residetial Warraty Holder; however, if the ower is ot the first occupat or if someoe else other tha the ower (for example, the codomiium associatio) is resposible for Product replacemet, the the ower is ot a Residetial Warraty Holder. Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holders: If the Product is istalled uder coditios i which o oe qualifies as a Residetial Warraty Holder as described above, the the warraty holder is the ower of the dwellig or buildig i which the Product has bee istalled at the time of istallatio (ad its builder ad cotractor). That ower is classified as

3 a Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder. For example, this icludes owers of commercial or ivestmet buildigs, or multi-residet premises i which the occupat is ot resposible for Product replacemet whether or ot the occupat ows the residetial dwellig uit i the premises (icludig by example, certai codomiiums, tow homes, duplexes, apartmets, cooperatives). This Limited Warraty is further subject to the limitatios ad exclusios below: Bays, Bows ad Garde Widow Products All Products makig up a bay, bow, or garde widow are covered uder this Limited Warraty ONLY if the use, istallatio, fiishig ad maiteace are cosistet with Simoto s recommedatios ad writte istructios that are geerally available i Simoto s Istallatio Istructios as updated by bulletis or other writte commuicatios or o Simoto s website at However, without limitig the foregoig the followig istallatio procedures are emphasized ad failure to do so will void the Limited Warraty: A roof must be built over all Bay or Bow widows (ot required for Garde Widows) after istallatio as the top of the Bay or Bow widow is ot desiged to prevet water peetratio as maufactured, without the help of a roof A cable system must be used to help support from above all Bay or Bow widows (ot required for Garde Widows). Kee braces must be utilized ad must be secured to studs to help support from below all Garde Widows that are greater tha 72" wide or 60" high (ot required for Bay or Bow widows) All joits must be checked ad re-caulked, if ecessary, because hadlig of the Products durig istallatio may, i some cases, cause factory sealed joits to be compromised DO NOT USE water-based stais or water-based sealers o the Oak or Birch veeer i the Bay/Bow or Garde Widow uit Use of water-based stais or water-based sealers ca cause delamiatio or other damage of the wood veeer ad is ot covered by the limited warraty. Viyl Viyl Double-Lifetime Residetial; 10 years Commercial/Multi-Residet The viyl compoets of Products are warrated agaist peelig, flakig, chippig, blisterig ad corrosio for the applicable Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will provide replacemet parts at o charge to the Warraty Holder. This Limited Warraty o viyl is void if the viyl is paited, staied or if the surface is altered i ay way. Fiberglass Higed Patio Door FactoryApplied Pait Fiish 20 years Residetial The factory-applied pait fiish o the exterior ad iterior surfaces of the fiberglass higed patio door are warrated agaist peelig, flakig, chippig, blisterig ad fadig for a period of 20 years to the origial Residetial Warraty Holder, trasferable to a subsequet Residetial ower durig, ad for ay balace of that 20-year Warraty Period ad oly if the Warraty has bee properly trasferred followig the procedure set forth below. If such defects occur, Simoto will provide a replacemet fiberglass door or other affected compoets, at o charge to the Residetial Warraty Holder. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ON THE FACTORY APPLIED PAINT FINISH IS VOID IF FOLLOWING APPLICATION OF THE FACTORY FINISH THE FIBERGLASS IS PAINTED, STAINED OR IF THE SURFACE IS ALTERED IN ANY WAY. Factory-Applied Exterior Coatig (Viyl Product Oly) Residetial 10 Years; trasferable ad cotiuig util 10th aiversary of Product purchase Commercial/Multi-Residet 3 Years; ot trasferable For Products purchased with a factory-applied exterior coatig o the viyl compoets, the factory-applied exterior coatig is warrated to the Residetial Warraty Holder agaist peelig, flakig, chippig, blisterig ad corrosio, ad for sigificat ultraviolet fadig or discoloratio caused by atural evirometal coditios (subject to the limitatios below), for the applicable Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will, at its optio, provide the Warraty Holder factoryauthorized repair at o charge, or provide replacemet parts oly at o charge to the Warraty Holder (assembly ad labor ot icluded), or refud the purchase price of the Product or compoet (the lesser of the origial Product or compoet purchase price or the origial catalog list price at the time of purchase). Repaired or replaced Products or compoets are NOT guarateed to match the color of the origial Product or compoet or of other widows or doors i the premises, due, i part, to the ormal effects of weatherig over time o exterior coatig or fiishes. This Limited Warraty does ot iclude o-coformities or damage attributable to or arisig from: Ay paitig, staiig, or other alteratio of the factory-applied exterior coatig surface of the Products Mior scratches or mior visual imperfectios withi the Product s stadard maufacturig ad quality specificatio parameters. 4 Damage to the factory-applied exterior coatig occurrig after the Product leaves Simoto s facility, whether arisig durig pre-istallatio hadlig or storage (icludig iadequate shelter or iadequate vetig of shippig wrap i hot ad humid locatios), istallatio, maiteace, or otherwise hardware will ot be warrated). If such defects occur, Simoto will provide replacemet parts at o charge to the Warraty Holder. The fiish o brass door hadles is NOT warrated. Mior scorig or scratchig of the factory-applied exterior coatig surface due to ormal operatio of the Products is ot cosidered a maufacturig defect Residetial Chemicals or solvets, icludig by example, acidic brick washes, or stucco leach Maiteace icosistet with the Care ad Maiteace recommedatios set forth i the Limited Warraty Harsh atural evirometal coditios, icludig by example, from substatial exposure to su, salt spray or airbore pollutats Excessive artificial temperature buildup or exposure, icludig by example, from the use of storm doors or widows or shutters uder certai circumstaces Istallatio i locatios or a maer that exceeds or deviates from product desig stadards ad/or testig ad certified performace specificatios, ad/or ot i compliace with buildig codes Labor for removig, istallig, or replacig Product or compoets or labor for other materials that are removed, reistalled or refiished i cojuctio with repairig or replacig the Product or compoet Fadig, discoloratio, or color chage of the factory-applied color coatig that equals or is less tha five (5) E uits, calculated i accordace with ASTM D2244, paragraph 6.2, effective o the date the Product is maufactured, ad which covers less tha a material portio or the exterior viyl compoets of the Product. Color chage will be measured o a exposed colored surface of the Product that has bee properly cleaed of soils, ad the correspodig values measured o the origial or uexposed colored surface. No-uiform fadig or color chage is a atural occurrece if the exterior surfaces of the Product are ot equally exposed to the su ad other evirometal coditios. Hardware Labor Coverage I geeral, the Lifetime Limited Warraty of a Residetial Warraty Holder does ot iclude the labor cost of istallig replacemet hardware compoets that residetial property owers are commoly capable of istallig themselves. Simoto will evaluate special circumstaces ad requests of Residetial Warraty Holders for labor coverage for hardware replacemet o a case-by-case basis. The Limited Warraty of a Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder does ot iclude the labor cost of istallig replacemet hardware compoets. Glass Double-Lifetime Residetial; 10 years Commercial/Multi-Residet The istalled ad sealed isulatig glass uit is warrated agaist permaet ad material obstructio of visio from film formatio caused by dust or moisture i the air space for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will replace the isulatig glass uit at o charge to the Warraty Holder. Isulatig glass uits cotaiig capillary tubes (recommeded for use i isulatig glass uits travelig through or beig istalled i areas with elevatios 7,000 feet or more above sea level) are warrated agaist permaet ad material obstructio of visio from film formatio caused by dust or moisture i the air space for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will provide a replacemet isulatig glass uit at o charge to the Warraty Holder. The Limited Warraty for Glass does ot iclude: Mior variatios i glass color or imperfectios that do ot affect the structural itegrity of the glass or do ot permaetly ad materially obstruct visio Ay soud that occurs from the grids tappig or otherwise strikig the glass due to vibratios from use of the widow or exterior vibratios to the widows (such as caused by opeig or closig the widow; aimals, perso, or objects strikig the glass; wid; or outside traffic, trais, or airplaes, etc) is ot cosidered a imperfectio or defect, or is the grid touchig the glass (eve i triple-stregth uits) cosidered a imperfectio or defect. If stailess steel hardware is ot ordered for products withi 2 miles of ay body of salt water the

All products sold i remaiig U.S. states ad Caada are excluded from this portio of the warraty. This Lifetime Glass Breakage Limited Warraty does ot iclude: Specialty glass such as glass with grid patters that have bee cut ito the glass surface Glass breakage followig a trasfer of the premises o which the Product is istalled to a Commercial/Multi-Residet Warraty Holder Breakage arisig from Certai Evirometal Coditios as set forth below Breakage arisig from riot or civil disorder, buildig settlemet or structural failures of walls or foudatios Screes Oe year Residetial The Product s scree frame is warrated to the Residetial Warraty Holder agaist peelig, flakig, blisterig ad corrosio for the Warraty Period. If such defects occur, Simoto will ship via commo carrier replacemet screes at o charge to the Residetial Warraty Holder. This Limited Warraty does ot iclude: Scree material damage caused by domestic or wild aimals Bet scree frames due to improper istallatio or removal Istallatio ad the cost of labor for scree replacemet B. Certai Evirometal Coditios This Limited Warraty does ot guaratee safety for persos or property, or make a premises hurricae-proof or impact-proof. This Limited Warraty does ot cover damage attributable to or caused by acts of ature that iclude, but are ot limited to stresses, high wids, floods, fire ad other coditios that exceed Product desigs that are test evaluated ad certified as refereced i Simoto s published literature. CERTIFICATION APPROVAL, RATING, AND REFERENCES TO OTHER PERFORMANCE STANDARDS MEAN THAT THE PRODUCT MEETS THE ESTABLISHED SPECIFICATION PARAMETERS OF THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS OR STANDARD TESTING AT THE TIME THE PRODUCT IS MANUFACUTURED. Damage From Failure to Ispect Product Followig Each High-Wid or Impact Evet Product that is subject to ay high wid evet or the possibility of havig bee impacted by wid-bore debris should be promptly ispected by the Warraty Holder or by a buildig professioal if the Warraty Holder caot perform this ispectio themselves or if there is cocer about Product damage. Proper care ad maiteace of the Product is the resposibility of the Warraty Holder ad failure to do so may void the Limited Warraty. Although a Product may appear to be i good workig coditio, the effects of such a evet(s) may have adversely affected the ability of the Product to provide subsequet protectio agaist aother such evet. This Limited Warraty s Exclusive Remedy If the Product or ay compoets fail to meet this Limited Warraty, Simoto s sole obligatio is, to either (as Simoto elects): a) repair the compoet (aesthetic matchig ot guarateed); or b) provide replacemet compoet(s) to the Warraty Holder or to Simoto s desigated dealer (aesthetic matchig ot guarateed); or c) refud the Warraty Holder s purchase price (the lesser of the origial Product/compoet purchase price or the origial catalog list price). Repaired or replaced compoets are warrated oly o the same terms ad for the remaider of the Warraty Period. Simoto reserves the right to discotiue or chage ay Product. If the Product or compoet is ot available, Simoto may select ad provide a replacemet Product or compoet of equal quality ad price. This is the Warraty Holder s sole ad exclusive remedy for the Product uder this Limited Warraty. By example but ot limitatio, this Limited Warraty does ot cover the followig costs ad expeses: (1) except as expressly set forth i this Limited Warraty, labor for removig, reistallig, refiishig Product (or other materials that are removed, reistalled or refiished to repair or replace the Product); (2) shippig/freight expeses to retur the Product to Simoto; (3) ormal maiteace; or (4) cosequetial, special, or idirect losses or damages of ay kid.
