5 Motivair Free-Coolig Chillers: The Ultimate Solutio for Optimal Eergy Savigs The Motivair MLC-SC-FC chillers with itegrated Free- Coolig are desiged to provide the ower with optimal performace, year roud, i varyig ambiet temperatures. This Free-Coolig optio, available o all MLC-SC models ad comes stadard with Motivair s advaced PLC cotrol package a uique sigle package for year-roud eergy savigs. The high efficiecy scroll compressor plat is desiged to cool the desigated heat load durig summer moths. Whe ambiet temperatures fall overight or durig cooler seasoal weather, the itegrated Free- Coolig system is automatically activated. The system operates by directig the retur chilled glycol through the Free-Coolig coil, before it eters the evaporator. This is achieved via a automatic motorized valve, cotrolled by the PLC, wheever the ambiet falls below the retur chilled glycol temperature set poit. The glycol is either partially or completely cooled i the Free-Coolig coil for maximum eergy savigs. As a result, less mechaical refrigeratio is required to achieve the chilled glycol set poit, ad the scroll compressors are staged dow ad evetually tured off by the PLC, which cotiuously moitors the system. Eergy savigs i areas with cooler witer moths are substatial. The ability to allow the compressors to stage off i cooler weather further drives overall chiller efficiecies. Wear ad tear o chiller compoets is dramatically reduced, due to fewer startups ad ruig hours durig witer moths.
