1 GENERAL RULES AND DEFINITIONS 1.7 Pulishing Results Results of national and international hampionships must e pulished inluding details suh as time, distane, total sore and sore per judge. For eah event, the names and represented nationality of ompetitors as well as the names and nationality of all offiials shall e pulished. In the artisti events names of the entire judging-panel may e replaed y J1, J2, J3, et. if desired y any of judge memers Artisti Riding Areas Traditionally a gymnasium is used. Artisti ompetitions an also e held in an auditorium, if the stage is large enough. If this is done, a gym must also e availale for pratie, and possily for group ompetition. Gymnasiums used for ompetition should have enough room to set up two Individual and Pairs performing areas side y side. There must also e enough room for judges and spetators. Seating must e provided for spetators, and a pratie area must e provided for riders. Ideally, this pratie area would e in a separate gym. The pratie area annot e outdoors. In the event of rain, riders would have no plae to warm up and exhange skills. If neessary, the pratie area an e ehind a urtain in the ompetition gym, or ehind the spetator seating. Neither of these solutions is as desirale, due to the distration that is unavoidaly aused y riders using these areas. The gym or riding surfae must e marked with the oundaries of all riding areas for individual and pairs events. In some failities lak tires, metal pedals, untaped wooden hokey stiks, et. might not e allowed. The host must make sure the partiipants are informed of this in advane. All performing and pratie areas must e in well-lit plaes that are proteted from the weather. It is very important that a good quality puli address system e availale for announements, and to play ompetition musi. Two CD players must e provided (one as a akup or test mahine). These must e ompatile with reordale CDs (CD-R). Dupliate players should also e provided for all other musi formats speified y the host Artisti Any performane musi must e provided on CD, or only those other media types supported y the event host. See also setion Knowing The Rules Lak of understanding of rules will e at the disadvantage of riders, not offiials or the IUF. The IUF is also not responsile for any errors that may our in the translation of rules and information into languages other than those in whih they were originally written Definitions EXPERT: A ompetition ategory open to all riders regardless of age. There are male and female Expert groups for individual and pairs artisti events. FIGURE: (noun) 1. A uniyle feat or skill, suh as walking the wheel or riding akward, used to desrie skills in the Standard Skill event. 2. A riding pattern, suh as a irle or figure 8. STANDARD UNICYCLE: Has only one wheel. Is driven y rank arms diretly attahed to the wheel's axle/hu, with no gearing or additional drive system. Pedals and ranks rotate to power the wheel. Is alaned and ontrolled y the rider only, with no additional devies to support it. For purposes of this definition, rakes and extended handles/handlears are permitted. For some events, standard uniyles have additional restritions suh as maximum wheel size or minimum rank arm length. For most other events there are no size limitations. UNICYCLING SKILL: (noun) Also known as figure. Any skills (feats of alane) performed on a vehile with one support point in ontat with the riding surfae, this eing a wheel, the movement of whih is ontrolled y the rider, thus maintaining alane. All mounts are also uniyling skills. See also setion UNINTENTIONAL DISMOUNT: In most ases, any part of a rider unintentionally touhing the ground. For example, a fingertip on the floor while spinning is not unintentional. A pedal and foot touhing the ground in a sharp turn is not a dismount as long as the foot stays on the pedal while the pedal is on the ground. Dismounts during most raes disqualify the rider. Union: Uniyling Convention. This word usually refers to the IUF World Uniyling Championships onventions. WHEEL WALKING: Propelling the uniyle y pushing the top of the tire with the feet. Feet touh wheel only, not pedals or rank arms. A non-pushing foot may rest on the fork. 3

3 ARTISTIC EVENTS: OVERVIEW AND SHARED RULES 3.1 Types Of Artisti Events There are four types of artisti events: Standard Skill, Freestyle, Flatland and Street. In Standard Skill, riders demonstrate pure skill and mastery on a standard uniyle, y performing up to 18 skills they have pre-seleted. Standard Skill judging is ased on the point value of the skills and quality of their exeution, not the show. In Freestyle, riders perform to musi, with ostumes, props and any kinds of uniyles. Riders are judged not only on skill, ut also on how well they entertain and put on a show. There are Individual, Pair, and Group Freestyle events. In Flatland, riders perform with no judging of musi and ostume, with a higher emphasis on originality and reativity. Street is sort of a ross etween Freestyle and Flatland, with the addition of an array of Trials-type ostales to ride on. Riders are judged on the skill and reativity of moves and ominations they do, using oth the flat ground and the ostales. 3.2 Age Groups For Artisti Note: Age groups for raing and age groups for artisti events are hosen separately, ased upon the rider s skills and needs. The minimum allowale age groups are listed for eah event. Convention hosts are free to add more age groups. Age group is determined y the rider s age on the first day of the onvention. Junior Expert is open to all riders Expert is open to riders of any age, inluding Riders must state the age group in whih they are entering for eah artisti event in whih they partiipate. Example: Riders who enter Individual Freestyle as Experts an enter Pairs in their age group if they wish. Riders are divided male/female in Standard Skill and Individual Freestyle, ut not in Pairs or Group. 3.8 Individual Standard Skill Overview MINIMUM AGE GROUPS: 0-14, 15-UP. Best overall sores determine whih ompetitors reah the Expert ranks. TIME LIMIT: Three minutes (all ages). UNICYCLE: One standard uniyle only (see definition). No rakes or handlears. There are no limitations on wheel or rank arm size. MUSIC: Musi is not judged. Bakground musi will e provided during all routines, or ompetitors may provide their own. Competitors may also, at their request, have no musi played. See also setion COSTUME AND PROPS: Clothing has no influene on the sore. Riders are enouraged to dress in the uniform of their national teams or lus, or in lothing that represents their teams, groups or ountries. No props. JUDGING METHOD: Riders are judged only on the quality of exeution of the skills they have hosen to perform. Eah figure has a predetermined point value. Judges dedut points for mistakes, suh as dismounts, poor form, performing figures out of order, et. SKILLS TO BE PERFORMED: Only skills found in the IUF Standard Skills List may e used. The proper methods for performing these skills are found in the Desriptions setion of this list. If illustrations of figures disagree with their desriptions, the desriptions apply. 4

These rules apply to all artisti events, unless otherwise noted Deadline For Signing Up GENERAL RULES All artisti events have a deadline for partiipation, whih must e speified in the registration form. If not speified in the registration form, the deadline is one month efore the offiial onvention start date. A maximum of ten Individuals, ten Pairs routines, and two groups will e allowed to e added after this time to aount for diffiulties in travel planning or other valid reasons that are ommuniated aout in advane. These will e added in the order of their request to the Chief Judge and Convention Diretor via or fax. Partiipants who attempt to sign up less than 36 hours prior to the eginning of the speified ompetition will not e allowed to enter. Changing Pairs partners is allowed up to 36 hours prior to the atual ompetition as long as the ategory does not hange. Adding or sutrating the memers of a group routine is allowed up to 36 hours prior to the start of that ompetition Order Of Performane Performane order for Jr. Expert and Expert in Pairs/Individual/Group freestyle are defined y an open drawing without a omputer. The drawing/seletion should e done pulily and transparently, at a time that is pre-announed, so people an witness it. The method to determine performane order for age groups is ompletely up to the Artisti Diretor Riders Must Be Ready Riders who are not ready at their sheduled performane time may or may not e allowed to perform after the last ompetitor in their age group. The Chief Judge will rememer to onsider language arriers, and that riders may e engaged in onvention work to slow them down. Exept for Standard Skill, a rider may not perform efore a different set of judges than those that judged the rest of their age group Start Of Performane Standard Skill The judging egins when the timer lows a one seond whistle signifying the eginning of the three minute routine or when a predetermined piee of musi egins; the stopwath will egin timing immediately following the one seond aousti signal or musi. The rider must egin within the oundaries either on or off the uniyle. If the rider hooses to go out of ounds for a.5 dedution, he/she must do so after the one seond aousti signal or the start of the musi. The end of eah minute will e indiated y aousti signals. This may e made optional as desried in setion A final one seond aousti signal will signify the ompletion of the three minute allotment Rider s No-Signal Option Standard Skill If a rider provides their own musi and wants aousti signals, they must indiate this when they sign up with the Rider Liaison. If a rider does not provide their own musi, aousti signals will automatially e used unless the rider requests No aousti signals when signing up with the Rider Liaison. If no aousti signals, there will not e a 'Start' signal or the 1-minute and 2-minute signals. In all situations, the Timer will still keep the time, and if the rider exeeds the time limit, the Timer will make the 'doule aousti signal' to indiate the rider has run overtime Interruption Of Judging An interruption of judging an result from material damage, injury or sudden illness of a ompetitor, or interferene with a ompetitor y a person or ojet. If this happens, the Chief Judge determines the amount of time left and whether any damage may e the fault of the ompetitor. Re-admittane into ompetition must happen within the regulatory ompetition time. If a routine is ontinued and the ompetitor was not at fault for the interruption, all devaluations oming forth from the interruption will e withdrawn. 5

3.17 End Of Performane The performane ends at a signal from the rider, suh as a ow or Thank you, or at the end of the time limit Standard Skill In Standard Skill, if the rider is in mid-figure, only the part of that figure that was exeuted efore the time ended will e ounted (see setion 5.9.3). If the figure was less than 50% omplete, a 100% devaluation will e given. If etween 50% and 100% was ompleted, a 50% devaluation will e given. Any figures that have not een performed reeive 100% devaluations Musi In Freestyle events, musi is inluded in the judging and ompetitors should use it. In Flatland, musi is reommended ut is not judged. In Standard Skill musi is not judged. But akground musi will e provided during all Standard Skill routines, or ompetitors may provide their own. Competitors may also, at their request, have no musi played. It is reommended to have one or more akup opies of all musi in ase of loss or damage. For reordale disks, ompetitors are also reommended to test their musi on multiple players to make sure it will work at ompetition time Media Types The host is required to have the apaility of playing reordale CDs. Other media types may also e supported, at the host's disretion. The Artisti Diretor is responsile for announing what media types will e supported, and making sure the neessary equipment is provided Musi Preparation Competitors must provide their musi in a type that is supported, and has een announed y the Artisti Diretor. All musi must e learly laeled with the ompetitor name(s), age group, and event type (suh as Pairs). Whenever possile, ompetition musi should e the first trak on the CD, mini-disk, or other optial media. The DJ (musi operator) is not responsile for errors if ompetition musi is on a different trak. If other than 1, trak numer should e inluded in laeling. For assettes or other tapes, if availale, laeling must also indiate whih side the musi is on. Competition musi should e at the eginning of the tape, and the tape should e wound to a point within 1-3 seonds of the start of the musi. The DJ is not responsile for tapes that are not ready to e played Musi Volume Volume level is ontrolled y the DJ, at instrutions from the Chief Judge. The ase volume for Freestyle, Street Comp and Flatland musi should e loud enough to sound lear, and e heard y all. For Standard Skill, volume level should not e loud enough to interfere with judge ommuniation, ut otherwise similar to the level for Freestyle, Street Comp and Flatland. Some ompetitors' musi may start with espeially loud or quiet setions, and the DJ should e advised of these so volume levels do not get ompensated in the wrong diretion. Some ompetitors may request that their musi e played at lower levels. These requests an e made diretly to the DJ. Requests for higher volumes must e approved y the Chief Judge, who has the option of passing this responsiility to the DJ Speial Musi Instrutions Some ompetitors may have speial musi instrutions, suh as stopping or starting the musi at a visual ue, hanging volume level during the performane, et. The DJ is not responsile for errors arrying out these instrutions. For est results, the ompetitor should supply a person to oah the DJ during the performane, so there are no mistakes. If the DJ reeives instrutions that sound unusual, the Chief Judge should e onsulted for approval World Champions Standard Skill, Individual Freestyle, Pairs Freestyle, Group Freestyle, Street Comp, Flatland: Winners in the Expert ategory of eah event are the World Champions. In the individual events, separate titles are awarded for male and female (exluding Street Comp and Flatland if only one ompetition group is offered). Winners in the Jr. Expert ategory are the Junior World Champions. 6

5 STANDARD SKILL These are the guidelines y whih Standard Skill ompetition is to e exeuted. At times, however, situations may our in whih the regulations annot e followed exatly. This applies to minor details; not to prinipal rules. For instane, if the size of the availale aommodation would ause the size of the riding area to e slightly smaller than required, that an e approved y a majority vote of the judging panel. Whatever differenes from the rules are approved must e made known to all partiipants efore ompetition. Any situation that may our for whih the rules do not provide a solution, shall e solved y the Chief Judge or y a majority vote in a meeting haired y the Chief Judge, at whih all judges ative in the onerned event must e present. 5.1 Floor, Markings And Figure Shapes See diagram. The riding surfae must allow flawless riding. The riding area must e suffiiently illuminated. An IUF representative will inspet the area to make sure it onforms to the requirements, and delare it rideale. The surfae of the riding floor must e lean, level, smooth and shall not e slippery. Competition an e held on a floor that has not een delared rideale y the panel, ut the results of suh ompetition may not e offiially reognized y the IUF, after investigation y the IUF rules ommittee Riding Area Boundaries For international ompetitions, the outer oundaries must e 11 x 14 meters. For other ompetitions, if spae does not permit, the size may e smaller ut will e no less than 9 x 12 meters. All lines must e at least 3m wide and learly marked, inluding the outer oundaries. a. Center irle (50m diameter). Long edge of riding area (faes judges). Short edge of riding area d. Inner irle (4m diameter) for irle figures e. Outer irle (8m diameter) for line and fig. eight's f. Quarter irle marks (length approx. 50m) on the 4m and 8m irles and at diagonal. Diagonals marked y going from orner to orner of the riding oundary (approximately 38.2 degrees) Line Figure. Lines, irles and figure 8's may e ridden in any diretion. Line figures start outside the large (8m) irle, ross the enter irle, and ontinue outside the large irle. The rider must e in position for the figure efore the hu rosses over the outside edge of the line. For seat drag figures where the seat is forward of the riding diretion, the rider must e in position efore the seat rosses the outside edge of the line. The line should e straight. Cirles and figure 8's an e started at any point, as long as the rider ompletes the figure y rossing over the starting point Cirle Figure Cirle figures are ridden in the area etween the 4m and 8m irle lines. If the rider rosses the 4m line while performing the figure, the irle must e restarted from the point where the rider re-rosses to the outside of the 4m irle. Crossing the 8m line does not invalidate the figure Cirle figures should e as round as possile Figure Eight The two irles making up the 8 should e the same size, and the orientation of the 8 an e in any diretion. The rider must pass outside the 8m irle on eah end of the 8, and ross the enter irle at the middle. The two halves of the figure 8 must e irular, with diameters of at least 4m. 5.2 Mounts, Transitions, Axis, Single And Counted Short Skills These are all olletively alled "non-riding skills". May e performed anywhere in the riding area unless stated differently in the desription. 7

5.3 Body Form Unless otherwise noted, eah figure must e performed with riders sitting up straight with their arms strethed and horizontal. Hands must e flat with palms down and fingers together. Arms do not have to e straight out to the sides. As long as arms are outstrethed and horizontal, they may point in any diretion. 5.4 Dismounts All dismounts must e ontrolled, inluding the dismount at the end of the routine. A ontrolled (intentional) dismount is where the rider omes to a stop and steps off the uniyle. Dismounts exeuted otherwise will e onsidered unintentional. A dismount ours any time a rider touhes the floor, exept in skills where the rider is required to touh the floor, or when a foot on a pedal touhes the floor. The rules demand that the rider dismounts in a sportsmanlike manner at the end of the routine. Failure to do so will result in a wave for inseure exit. 5.5 Assisting Riders At international events it is foridden for a rider to get veral assistane or helping gestures from a person outside the riding area, sine this is interferene with the rider y an outside person. At international events it is foridden for a rider to use any props (inluding people) during the 3-minute routine. Any ompetitor aught getting assistane (veral or non-veral) or using props may e disqualified from the ompetition. Also, a rider may not look at the list of skills while performing the routine. This inludes skills written on the ompetitor's hand, a piee of paper or elsewhere. Eah ourrene of a ompetitor looking at a skills list will result in a wave. 5.6 Standard Skill Judging Sheet Introdution Before ompeting in Standard Skill, eah rider must fill out and turn in a judging sheet listing his or her routine. This list inludes the numer, name, and point value of eah figure to e performed in the routine, in the order in whih they will e ridden Skills To Be Used The maximum numer of figures allowed is 18. Of those 18 figures, no more than 12 may e other than a riding skill. Skills with numers 101 and higher are limited to a maximum of 12. If a rider only hooses 12 skills for the whole routine, it is allowed for all of these to e non-riding skills. Note: Eah figure numer may appear only one on the judging sheet. This means that, for example, if a rider uses figure 15, he or she may not use 15 a,, d, e, f, g, or h Skill Order The 18 figures must e performed in the exat same order as they appear on the judging sheet. Figures left out aording to their order on the judging sheet will e devaluated 100%. This devaluation remains, even if the figure is performed later in the routine. Example: The skills on a judging sheet are: wheel walk, one-foot, idle, riding akwards. The rider does the wheel walk, skips the one-foot and idle, then performs the riding akwards, followed y the one-foot and the idle. The tehnial judge will mark oth the 1-ft and idle with a 100% devaluation Filling Out Judging Sheet The ompleted judging sheet must e sent in efore the deadline date set y ompetition organizers. When filling out the sheet, eah figure name must e written out exatly as it appears on the Standard Skills List, with no further areviations. Figure numers, letters, and point values must e inluded, and the total Diffiulty sore (total points for all figures in the routine) must e filled in. The judges have to hek the judging sheets and, if possile in ontat with the ompetitor, orret any mistakes. Any disadvantage resulting from filling out a judging sheet inorretly will e at the ompetitor's expense, and will not e valid grounds for protest. Judging sheets, one heked and approved for ompetition, annot e hanged Competitor And Judging Forms If availale to the organizers, a omputer dataase should e used to generate forms for oth the ompetitor and the judges, and then e used to alulate the sores. Either the Writing Judge Form or the traditional Standard Skill Form is required for judging. The other forms are suggested to help oth the ompetitors and judges. Suggested forms are: Competitor Form: Skill Order, Figure numer and letter, Desription, Sore, and Skill Definition. Standard Skill Form: Skill Order, Figure numer and letter, Desription, Sore, and areas to mark 50/100% tehnial devaluations and the ~ / + 0 exeution devaluations. An area at the ottom should e inluded to write in the names of the three judges. An area at the ottom should also e inluded to help in manual soring of the routines. Writing Judge Form: Skill Order, Figure numer and letter, Desription, Sore, and areas to mark 50/100% tehnial devaluations and the ~ / + 0 exeution devaluations. An area at the ottom should e inluded to write in the names of the three judges. Diffiulty Judge Form: Skill Order, Figure numer and letter, Desription, Sore, Skill Definition, and area to mark 50/100% tehnial devaluations. The addition of the Skill Definition an help the judge if there is larifiation needed for the orret exeution of the skill. 8

Exeution Judge Form: Skill Order, Figure numer and letter, Desription, Sore, and area to mark the ~ / + 0 exeution devaluations. All three judging forms should have grey shading to indiate the relative speed of the skills. No shading would indiate a slower skill (typially all riding skills), a light grey indiates skills that are quiker than the riding skills (most of the ounted short skills), and a dark grey indiates skills that are very quik. This will help the judges estimate how quikly they must wath for new skills. 5.7 Judging Panel STANDARD SKILL JUDGING There will e 1 Chief Judge, 2 Diffiulty Judges, 2 Exeution Judges, 2 Writing Judges, and 1 Timer. The judging panel will e divided into two judging units, eah onsisting of one Diffiulty, one Exeution, and one Writing Judge. The judges will e appointed to the funtions Writer, Exeution, and Diffiulty, respetively in order of their experiene. At Unions, all judges for the Expert groups must have previous Union judging experiene. 5.8 Operation Of The Judges While the Diffiulty and Exeution Judges wath the routine, the Writing Judge reads the names of the figures from the list. The Diffiulty Judge indiates if a skill was fully ompleted, or the redution perentage if it was not. The Exeution Judge indiates the exeution mistakes using symols, as desried elow. The Writer writes down the veral remarks of oth judges on the judging sheet. For this reason, the Writer is seated etween the other two judges. The position of the judging tale must e so that all judges have a lear view of the entire riding area. There must e enough spae etween the two judging units to ensure their working independently of eah other. 5.9 Diffiulty Devaluations Skill Verifiation Every figure on the judging sheet must e exeuted aording to its desription in the Standard Skills List. If a performed figure does not orrespond with the entry on the judging sheet, 100% is devaluated Tehnial Mistakes If a tehnial mistake ours during the exeution of a skill, 50% is devaluated. Tehnial mistakes inlude ut are not limited to the following: Part of ody other than one hand touhing seat in seat out skills Hand holding seat touhing ody in seat out skills Free foot touhing rotating part of uniyle in one foot skills Legs not extended and / or toe not pointed for skills where the leg is quikly extended (inluding, ut not limited to: wheel gra, rank idle kik, hop on wheel kik) Skill Completion Every figure on the judging sheet must e performed as entered, from start to finish, without the rider touhing the floor, exept where required to y the figure desription. This applies to all skills: riding skills (figures in lines, irles and 8's), transitions, axis skills, single and ounted short skills, and mounts. Riding Skills, Repetitive Axis Skills, and Counted Short Skills: If a figure is roken off in the first half of its required exeution, or performed for less than half of the required exeution, 100% is devaluated. If a figure is roken off in the seond half of the required exeution, or performed for less than the required exeution, 50% is devaluated. Riding Skills: If a rider is not in position for a line figure efore rossing the 8- meter irle, ut is in position when rossing oth 4-meter irle lines, 50% is devaluated (see figure 1). If the rider is in position ut only rosses one edge of the 4-meter irle, 100% is devaluated (see figure 2). Transitions and mounts: Must finish in the end position (one revolution, 2½ hops, or 2½ idles) or 100% is devaluated. If the end position for a mount is not defined, must perform one revolution, OR 2½ hops, OR 2½ idles efore stepping off the uniyle. Axis skills, single short skills: Unless otherwise defined in the skill desription, the ending position is the same as the starting position. Must finish in the end position (one revolution, 2½ hops, or 2½ idles) or 100% is devaluated. If the start and end position for a single short skill is not defined, must perform one revolution, 2½ hops, OR 2½ idles efore stepping off the uniyle. 9

5.9.4 Start Of Figures All figures start when the rider gets into the position required for that figure Figure Order Figures left out aording to their order on the judging sheet are devaluated 100%. This devaluation remains, even if the figure is performed afterward Figure Patterns Riding figures that are not attempted to e ridden as desried in Setion 5.1 should reeive 100% devaluation. For example: The line figure is desried as start outside the large (8m) irle, ross the enter irle, and ontinue outside the large irle. If the rider does not attempt to ross the enter irle and performs the line irle ompletely outside the 4m irle, then 100% is devaluated Exeution Devaluations Wave (~) = -0.5 Point A wave is sored one per skill for eah of the following exeution mistakes listed elow. More than one wave an e applied to eah skill, ut if a rider makes the same mistake twie during one skill, they should only reeive one wave. Example: During wheel walking, a rider may have jerky ody movements and fingers not together at the eginning two waves should e applied. If the rider then smoothly wheel walks for a while and then has jerky ody movements again, a third wave should not e applied. inseure entrane or exit ramped, inseure exeution jerky ody movements not sitting up straight fingers not together free leg not strethed, toes not pointed waving arms jerky pedal movement line not straight irle not round rossing the 4 m irle when performing a skill in a irle Line (/) = - 1 Point A line is sored every time loss of ontrol ours. Loss of ontrol inludes loss of proper ody form reaking off and restarting a skill loss of proper ody form efore or after transitions failure to ross enter irle in line or figure 8 irles of figure 8 not the same size pedal, or foot on pedal touhing floor wandering spin or pirouette irle size exeeds 1 meter diameter in a spin going outside riding area oundary looking at the standard skills order arms not strethed arms not horizontal palms not down arms touhing the ody during seat out skills Cross (+) = - 2 Points A ross is sored eah time an unintentional dismount ours with the ompetitor landing on his or her feet without the uniyle eing dropped Cirle (0) = - 3 Points A irle is sored eah time an unintentional dismount ours with a part of the rider other than his or her feet touhing the floor (hand, knee, rear, et.) or with the uniyle eing dropped. Seat drag skills only have this sore applied if a part of the rider other than the feet touh the floor Applying Lines, Cirles, Crosses Lines, irles and rosses are sored every time they our during and etween all skills, whether entered on the sore sheet or not. Only the highest appliale devaluation symol shall e imposed per exeution mistake. Most waves are not sored if they our etween skills listed on the judging sheet. Waves an only e sored etween skills if they are unrelated to ody form. Example: A ompetitor will not get a wave if the ompetitor's arms are not in proper form etween skills listed on the judging sheet, ut a ompetitor will get a wave for exeeding the riding area oundary Totaling Sores After the routine is finished, the perentages and symols from the judges are onverted into numers. These numers are sutrated from the rider's starting sore. Then, the sores of the two judging units are added together and divided y two to get the finishing sore of a ompetitor. The winner in the Standard Skill event is the ompetitor with the highest sore. If more than one ompetitor have the same sore, plaing is deided y the highest Exeution sore. If those sores are also the same, the ompetitors reeive tie sores. 10
