1 Assoiated ontrollers Controller seletion By ombining a remote-operated sourehangeover system with an integrated BA or UA automati ontroller, it is possible to automatially ontrol soure transfer aording to user-seleted sequenes. These ontrollers an be used on sourehangeover systems omprising 2 iruit breakers. For soure-hangeover systems omprising 3 iruit breakers, the automati ontrol diagram must be prepared by the installer as a omplement to to diagrams provided in the eletrial diagrams setion of this atalogue. 2 Assoiated ontrollers Controller installation E72579 E ACP auxiliaries ontrol plate The auxiliaries ontrol plate provides in a single unit: protetion for the BA or UA ontroller with two highly limiting P25M iruit breakers (infinite breaking apaity) for power drawn from the AC soure ontrol of iruit-breaker and FF funtions via two relay ontators onnetion of the iruit breakers to the BA or UA ontroller via a built-in terminal blok. Control voltages 220 to 240 V 50/60 Hz 380 to 45 V 50/60 Hz 440 V 60 Hz. The same voltage must be used for the ACP plate, the ontroller and the iruitbreaker operating mehanisms. nstallation Connetion between the ACP auxiliaries ontrol plate and the VE eletrialinterloking unit may use: wiring done by the installer prefabriated wiring (optional). ACP auxiliaries ontrol plate. nstallation of the BA and UA ontrollers The BA and UA ontrollers may be installed in one of two manners: diretly mounted on the ACP auxiliaries ontrol plate mounted on the front panel of the swithboard. 3 Assoiated ontrollers BA ontroller E The BA ontroller is used to reate simple soure-hangeover systems that swith from one soure to another depending on the presene of voltage U on the ormal soure. t is generally used to manage two permanent soures and an ontrol Compat S and Masterpat T/W iruit breakers and swith-disonnetors. Setting the time delays Time delays are set on the front of the ontroller. t. delay between detetion that the ormal soure has failed and the transmission of the order to open the ormal soure iruit breaker (adjustable from 0. to 30 seonds). t2. delay between detetion that the ormal soure has returned and the transmission of the order to open the eplaement soure iruit breaker (adjustable from 0. to 240 seonds). Ciruit breaker ommands and status indiations The status of the iruit breakers is indiated on the front of the ontroller., FF, fault. A built-in terminal blok may be used to onnet the following input/output signals: inputs: v voluntary order to transfer to soure (e.g. for speial tariffs, et.) v additional ontrol ontat (not part of the ontroller). Transfer to the eplaement soure takes plae only if the ontat is losed (e.g. used to test the frequeny of U, et.) outputs: indiation of operation in automati or stop mode via hangeover ontats. Distribution-system settings Three swithes are used to: b selet the type of ormal soure, whether single-phase or three-phase (e.g. 240 V single-phase or 240 V three-phase) b selet whether to remain (or not) on the ormal soure if the eplaement soure is not operational during operation on speial tariffs b selet the maximum permissible startup time for the engine generator set during operation on speial tariffs (20 or 80 seonds). Test A pushbutton on the front of the ontroller may be used to test transfer from the ormal soure to the eplaement soure, then the return to the ormal soure. The test lasts approximately three minutes. CM ommuniations option Using the internal bus protool, this option may be used to remote the following information: b iruit-breaker status (, FF, fault trip) b presene of the ormal and eplaement voltages b presene of an order for fored operation (e.g. speial tariffs) b settings and onfiguration information b status of non-priority iruits (loads shed or not) b position of the swith (stop, auto, fored operation on the ormal soure, fored operation on the eplaement soure).
