17 FINE ADJUSTMENT Note: Before chnging ny prmeters we recommend to me bcup of the MPD1 prmeters on Chip-crd (CARD MANAGE- MENT -> WRITE CARD) 1. UPWARD SATRTING When the min motor strts, chec tht the solenoid vlve 20 receives power for bout 0.5 sec. The strting occurs in two phses: lod ting, with smll movement of the cr, nd the subsequent ccelertion to chieve high speed For the djustment of lod ting to ct s follows whit empty cbin: - To set the strting position holding time HSP prmeter (GENERAL PARAMETERS PAGE1 2) to vlue quite high (3-4 SEC) - To set the strting position SP prmeter (GENERAL PARAMETERS PAGE1 2) to vlue similr to tht of low speed ( ). Note: Identicl vlue to STL upwrd low speed prmeter led to n incorrect performnce in the corrisponding upwrd phse. Under these conditions the cbin should move with jerc, dvncing for some time nd then ccelerte.. - decrese the strting position SP prmeter until to obtin soft ting chrge: reducing too the prmeter vlue, the cbin will not mouve during this phse nd then will ccelerte directly to mximum speed. - then to decrese the strting position holding time HSP prmeter up to minimize the ting chrge time: decresing too much the vlue of the prmeter the cr ccelertes directly to mximum speed with jerc. 2. UPWARD HIGH SPEED AND DECELERATION The IST intermedite decelertion position fctory setting vlue is such s to reduce s soon the speed chieving by pump flow. The STH mximum speed fctory setting vlue is such to minimize the vlve hydrulic losses in upwrd direction nd hve not to set it lower to IST prmeter vlue (the binding condition is IST <= STH). Usully the IS initil decelertion prmeter re setted to higher vlue, less vlue extends the decelertion distnce. 3. DOWNWARD HIGH SPEED AND DECELERATION Usully the IST intermedite decelertion position fctory setting vlue is the sme of STH mximum speed but not higher (the binding condition is IST <= STH) Usully the IS initil decelertion prmeter re setted to higher vlue, nd does not ffect when STH = IST. 22 NEW CONFIGURATIONS FOR THE HYDRAULIC LIFT POWER UNITS AND MOTORS WERE IDENTIFIED TO SATISFY THE MARKET REQUIREMENTS OF A CONTEMPORARY REDUCTION OF MAINTENANCE COSTS AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION. ENERGY CONSUMPTION A reduction of the energy consumption, which is minly due to lc of oil heting, cn be chieved s follows: - Reducing the energy dissiptions in the hydrulic circuit nd in the motor - Reducing the time intervls where the velocity is low - Avoiding the oil dischrge in the tn during the climb under ccelertion, decelertion nd lowvelocity conditions. POWER The power required cn be reduced in these wys: - Reducing the energy dissiptions in the hydrulic circuit nd in the motor - Reducing the strting current - Incresing the power fctor - Reducing the climbing velocity for some lod operting conditions PERFORMANCE The overll performnces cn be incresed s follows: - Optimizing ccelertion nd decelertion phses - Reducing the time intervls where velocity is low - Using the mximum llowed velocity when the lift descends - Dissiptions in the hydrulic circuit cn be reduced using low friction components (vlves nd pipes) nd pumps with high volumetric efficiency. The use of high efficiency motors reduce their energy dissiptions. The overll system efficiency lso increses with the operting pressure. - Different systems re vilble to eep constnt the lift slowing down to reduce the time intervls where the velocity is smll. For exmple, there re power units with motorized vlves, or tht control the motor by using inverters. - An inverter is used to set the lift velocity during the climb nd this llows to correct the power fctor of the electricity power line t ny lod condition. In this wy it is possible to reduce the energy consumption during ccelertion, decelertion nd low velocity conditions nd to increse the power fctor t the sme time. - During climbing, the velocity reduction is controlled by dedicted inverter detecting the motor lod nd limiting its velocity to stisfy the desired energy consumption limits. - Different velocities cn be obtined during climbing nd descent by n pproprite regultion of the power units or using n inverter to limit the velocity only during climbing. - It is lso possible to reduce the energy consumption nd the power required in ll the pplictions where the high use require n uxiliry cooling system. For this purpose, dedicted inverter cn be used. It controls the descent phse cting lie bre nd converts into electricity prt of the energy to be dissipted. In this wy, the coupled use of n optimized power unit nd dedicted inverter for motor control llows to chieve high efficiency nd use of hydrulic systems, preserving their typicl sfety nd usbility fetures. UPSTROKE SAFETY VALVE INTERVENTION During upstroe, n unusul increse of pressure, higher thn the setting of the vlve <5>, cuses its opening nd the drining of the pilot oil of the non-return vlve <F>. The lc of its pilot opens completely the vlve <F> nd sends in drining the oil tht flows from the pump, nd the system stops immeditely. The system is utomticlly reset s soon s the overpressure stops. MANUAL EMERGENCY DOWNWARD Press the emergency downstroe button <17) tht directly dischrges the oil of the circuit, permitting the mnul downstroe of the cbin. In indirect systems the mnul opertion is utomticlly interrupted when the setting of the vlve <25> is reched. The vlve cn be predisposed to be electriclly strted through coil. MANUAL EMERGENCY UPWARD The vlve group comprise the hnd pump <26>. Use the issued lever to pump the oil to the hydrulic circuit in pressure, through the non-return vlve <28> in order to lift the cbin. In cse of over pressure during the pumping, the sfety vlve intervenes <27> nd it sends in drining the delivery oil of the pump, thus interrupting the upwrd of the cbin. UPSTROKE 3 8- OUTLET IN THE TANK While the solenoid vlve < 20> is turn on, ll the delivery of the pump comes dischrged in the tn through the vlve < F>. If the solenoid vlve <20> is turn off, the system will jer in deprture. UPSTROKE 4 8- ACCELERATION After nother 0.5 s, or however fter the motor strting (soft strter), turn off the solenoid vlve <20>, the pilot oil rrives to close the vlve < F> with consequent increse of the pressure in the vlve group. When the pressure is the sme of the system it will open the vlve < B> nd the system will begin to move. The movement of the vlve < F> depends on the djusting screw < > tht rules the pssge of the oil in the pilot circuit. If the djusting screw < > hs closed the vlve group it won't chieve the upstroe pressure. UPSTROKE 5 8- HIGH SPEED In high speed ll the oil of the pump flows towrd the vlve< B> nd then to the piston. UPSTROKE 6 8- DECELERATION In proximity of the floor, turn off the solenoid vlve< 22>. The oil pilots the vlve< D>; the djusting <23> controls its time of closing. When vlve <D> is closed, the pressure increses nd it opens vlve <F> A prt of the oil will go in the tn with the consequent decelertion of the system. UPSTROKE 7 8- LOW SPEED When the vlve < D> is completely closed, the oil cn rrive to the piston only through the pssge mesured by the screw <4>, which then determines the vlue of the upstroe low speed. UPSTROKE 8 8- STOPPING (Soft Stop) Turn on the solenoid vlve <34>. The djusting screw <35> rules the opening of the vlve <F> with grdul stop of the system, while the principl motor is turning. After hlf-second remove current to the principl motor < M>. After other hlf-second turn off the solenoid vlve <34> lso. DOWNSTROKE 3 7- REGULATOR INTERVENTION The increse of speed of the oil determines correspondent increse of pressure in the vlve group. When the pressure vlue correspondent to the setting < 15> is reched, the vlve of the regultor < A> intercepts the oil of the non-return vlve pilotge nd sends it in drining through the pssge < 14>. DOWNSTROKE 4 7- HIGH SPEED The high speed is reched when the non-return vlve is in position such tht the pressure in the vlve group is equl to pressure of the pressure regultor. 39 DOWNSTROKE 5 7- DECELERATION In proximity of the floor, turn off the solenoid vlve < 22>. The oil pilots the vlve < D> ; the djusting <23> controls its time of closing. When the vlve <D> is closed, the vlve group pressure increses with the consequent intervention of the regultor < A> nd prtil closing of the non-return vlve <B>. DOWNSTROKE 6 7- LOW SPEED When the vlve< D> is completely closed the oil cn flow in the group only through the pssge djusted by the screw < 4> which determines the vlue of the downstroe low speed too. DOWNSTROKE 7 7- STOPPING At the floor remove current to solenoid vlve <16> nd to solenoid vlve <20>. The vlve <16> will send in drining the pilotge oil of non-return vlve < B> piston through the throttle < 97> with grdul stop of the system. The vvle <20> stops the pilotge oil drining of the vlve <F> tht moves in closing position ssuring the stop of the system. SAFETY VALVE INTERVENTION During upstroe, n unusul increse of pressure, higher thn the setting of the vlve <5>, cuses its opening nd the drining of the pilot oil of the non-return vlve <F>. The lc of its pilot opens completely the vlve <F> nd sends in drining the oil tht flows from the pump, nd the system stops immeditely. The system is utomticlly reset s soon s the overpressure stops. MANUAL EMERGENCY DOWNWARD Press the emergency downstroe button on the top of the pump to strt the coc <17> tht directly dischrges the oil of the circuit, permitting the mnul downstroe of the cbin. In indirect systems the mnul opertion is utomticlly interrupted when the setting of the vlve <25> is reched. It closes the pssge of the oil to the coc. The coc cn be predisposed to be electriclly strted through coil. MANUAL EMERGENCY UPWARD When on the vlve group is fitted the hnd pump <26> (lwys fitted in indirect systems) use the issued lever pump the oil to the hydruli circuit in pressure, through the non-return vlve <28> in order to lift the cbin. In cse of over pressure during the pumping, the sfety vlve intervenes <27> nd it sends in drining the delivery oil of the pump, thus interrupting the upwrd of the cbin. to NOTE: - The switches in the strting decelertion stroe spce < b, f > must be positioned in order to leve, when the oil is cold, low speed spce of cm. DEVICE OPERATION AS A MOVEMENT AGAINST UNCONTROLLED When the circuit required in prgrphs nd of EN 81-2 identifies uncontrolled movements of the cbin doors open, it must not llow the control pnel to send ny signl to the vlve bloc nd disble the system. The device must be ctivted (stop signl) before the cr moves wy from the plne of 200 mm. Recovering or resetting of the lift must be checed by competent person.
