E fter igtning te nut e UPEROK DIN ype fitting produces a low to ig pressure, leak free connection of tubes and components in fluid systems. e basic function of te compression Ring is te controlled compression bite of te ring into te tube due to a unique internal geometry. e front cutting edge () as already started cutting into te tube before te second cutting edge (B) starts. s soon as bot cutting edges ave cut te tube to te designed dept furter advance is limited by te stop edge (C). Owing to te design of bot cutting edges and stop edge all forces arising are equally distributed. is distribution along wit te specially designed interior collar (D) of te ring gurantees increased safety, particularly wit regard to vibration and flexure stresses. e design and function of te compression ring ensure tat service vibration loading is not present in te areas of te tubing were te bite is made. e stop edge causes a sarp increase in tigtening forces wic is clearly perceptible. fter assembly, a visible collar (E) of cut tube material must completely fill te space in front of te first cutting edge. Wit stainless steel tube and ose connection made from free cutting steel, te collar is less due to te arder material. During assembly, it is absolutely essential tat te tube is eld firmly against te stop in te inner cone of te fitting; if not, te cutting process will not take place satisfactorily. It is possible to matc a taper male tread wit a cylindrical female tread, but tis combination is tecnically valid only in pipings were medium / low performances are required and is never to be used were ig pressures are applied. In case of matcing of a cylindrical tread wit relatively soft material, it is advisable to use plain gasket type of seal. Ensure compression ring and nut are facing te rigt way. crew nut manually on to fitting body until fingertigt. old tube against te soulder in te cone of fitting body. E) Ceck 9 11 o measure te prescribed turns of te nut, mark nut and tube. igten nut 11/2 turns ( must not turn wit nut). top edgs limits over tigtening by increasing tigtening torque. oosen nut. Remove tube from fitting and ceck if a visible collar fills space in front of 1st cutting edge completely. If not, tigten sligtly more. If dose not matter if ring can be roated on tube end. F) Final assembly G) Repeated assembly 13 fter dismantling te tube ends for inspection tey sould be refitted into te same inner cone of te fitting body in wic assembly was carried out. Final assembly of all preassembled fittings (DE, DB, DR, DR) made in te appropriate body (well lubricated) wit at least 1/ turn of te nut beyond te point of a clearly perceptible resistance. On remaking joints, nut to be tigtened witout increased effort. Fitting body to be eld tigt. WRNING We warn against using sealing eads, form, DIN 3.
