Especially a gas needs to be igly compressed to fill smaller tank or container. Pressure over 500 psig (34.5 bar) is considered ig pressure. M Tube Fittings provide gas leak-tigt performance based on te working pressure of te tubing selected. Tubing For Gas Application Use eavier wall tubing for gas application. eavier wall tubing recommended for gas service is identified in te non-saded area of te tubing tables beginning on page 8. Te tin wall tubes are saded for identification from eavier wall tubes tat are not saded. Gases suc as steam, air, oxygen, elium, nitrogen, metane, propane, etc ave extremely small molecules tat can escape t roug even te most minute leak pat. eavier wall tubing allows te ferrules to coin out minor defects on tube surface wereas tin wall provides less resistance to ferrule action, resulting in less cance of coining out surface defects. efects on tubing surface sould be considered leak pats. Vacuum Application utstanding Sealing System of M Tube Fitting eliminates air-ingress into te tubing system at vacuum conditions. Wit properly selected tubing, M Tube Fittings perform leak-tigt up to te vacuum level of 10-9 torr. Cryogenic Application Below -100 ºF ( 37 ºC) is considered cryogenic temperature. Stainless Steel M Tube Fittings provide outstanding leak-tigt performance up to -328 ºF ( 200 ºC) cryogenic application.

Wall tickness not listed in te tubing tables is not recommended for use wit M Tube Fittings.
