Pascal Industries offers a wide range of differential pressure transmitter manifolds available to users for a variety of applications and industries. These differential pressure transmitter manifold valves integrates multiples valves and fittings into a single block which reduces potential leak paths which can be detrimental to instrument and system performance. All Pascal Industries differential pressure transmitter manifolds are rated to 10,000 psi (690 bar) as standard. Features Consolidates individual valves into a single unified block to allow for the flexibility of performing various tasks without the need to remove the differential pressure transmitter. All 3 valve manifolds come with ISOLATE and EQUALIZE valves. All 5 valve manifolds come with two additional BLEED/DRAIN valves along with its respective ports. Bar stock style body construction suitable for enclosure installation. Pascal Industries proprietary non-rotating needle stem assembly allows for safe operation of needle valve at pressures up to 10,000 psi (690 bar) whilst minimizing the total number of parts used in the assembly. All 3 and 5 valve manifold valves are etched with the flow diagram to show the valve capability. Pressure transmitter connections are designed and manufactured to comply with IEC type B (w/o spigot) standard which allows for direct mounting of the 54mm differential pressure transmitter port. 3 3 & 5 VALVE DIFFERENTIAL MANIFOLDS GOOD TO KNOW Introduction Instrument manifold valves consolidate multiple single valves into a single valve block. This method allows the user to use these multiple valves in a single block to perform multiple functions and tasks without removing the differential pressure transmitter from its installed position. The single block minimizes the number of connections and potential leak points which makes for a more secure process connection. Test/Drain Equalize Test/Drain Isolate Isolate Instrument Outlet Flange Connections Standard connections for direct mount manifolds. These connections are supplied with machined grooves for PTFE seal rings. The flange connection are positioned on 54mm/2.125 centers. Remote mount manifolds are supplied with 1/2 NPT Female ports as standard. Manifold Body Bar stock style manifold bodies are standard which are suitable for installation in an enclosure. Process Input Connections Standard connections for process input are 1/2 NPT Female threads. Valve Pressure Rating The connections, valve body and needle stem assemblies for both direct and remote mount have be designed and tested to cater for up to 10,000 psi (690 bar) working pressures. Manifold Bracket Mounting All manifolds are supplied with bracket mounting holes. These provide the user the option to install and remove the manifold without the instrument and give support when the instrument is removed. Drain / Bleed Connections Drain / Bleed port locations are dependent on the design of the manifold but are usually located at the bottom face of the valve. On 3 valve manifold drain / bleed ports are available as an option. 3

4 3 & 5 VALVE DIFFERENTIAL MANIFOLDS GOOD TO KNOW Easy to Use At Pascal Industries we understand the need for good, reliable components which require minimum maintenance. That s why our designers and engineers have come out with components which follow the Pascal Modular Design framework. All Pascal Industries needle valves are designed with the packing protecting the stem sleeve for reliable smooth opening and closing action. All Pascal Industries valves are designed to be repaired with the appropriate repair kits. Interchangeability Each component is designed to ensure maximum compatibility with third party components (connections only). This gives you a peace of mind knowing that our components will comply with international standards. Needle Stem Design Features At Pascal Industries we realized that crimped non-rotating needle stems break very easily. Using a modified version of our heavy duty rotating needle stem design, we are able to increase the reliability of our needle valve assembly while retaining guaranteed sealing at all times. The needle valve assembly is replaceable with an applicable needle valve repair kit. See the Options & Accessories section for more details. Laser Etched for Clarity Valve Packing Design Features Pascal Industries needle valves use a packing gland integrated into a bonnet assembly. This allows for the packing to protect the prelubricated needle stem sleeve thread which is essential to the operation of the valve. This method allows for a longer service life for your valve as it allows for adjustment of the packing. This method allows the user to repair the valve by using the applicable service repair kit. Pascal Industries differential manifold valves are laser etched with the flow diagram of the manifold valve on the valve body. This assists the user to determine the capabilities of the manifold valve and what each valve is capable of. The manifold valves are also laser etched with the part number, maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) at room temperature, material and heat number of the manifold block. All manifold valves are laser etched with the function of the valve on the manifold body where the valve is located. This prevents mistakes from occurring when the optional coloured valve function rings are not optioned or have faded. Certification Every valve manufactured is supplied as standard with the following certification: Certificate of Conformance Material Certificate (In accordance to EN B) Pressure vs. Temperature The following chart shows the capabilities of Pascal Industries valve packing materials. Standard materials for valve packing available are PTFE and Grafoil. All Pascal manifold valves are rated to 10,000 psi (690 bar) as standard. For small molecule (hydrogen & helium) service, it is not advisable to use graphite yarn packing due to the porosity of the material. Pascal Industries needle valves are fitted with standard Teflon packing. 4

NACE compliant SS316 materials are hardness tested during the manufacturing process and given a traceable hardness test number for compliance requirements. The hardness test report can be issued at cost. Contact your nearest Pascal representative for more information. Manifold to Transmitter Mounting All Direct Mount manifold valves are supplied with a set of four 7/16 UNF x 1-5/8 stainless steel bolts. The bolt holes are designed to fit on standard 54mm / centers. Special Materials Pascal Industries is able to manufacture the manifold valves in special materials. The following table shows the common optional material available from Pascal Industries. Manifold body and trim materials are made in the requested materials. The handle and set screw will remain in stainless steel. 6 3 & 5 VALVE DIFFERENTIAL MANIFOLDS OPTIONS Anti-tamper Needle Stem Assembly The anti-tamper needle stem assembly protects the valve from being operated unless a special key is used. Handle key is sold separately. Anti-tamper Lockable Needle Stem Assembly The anti-tamper needle stem assembly is further protection from the anti-tamper needle stem assembly by allowing a padlock to be used to prevent even the handle key from being used. Handle key is sold separately. Handle Key The handle key is used to operate the valve when the anti-tamper needle stem assemblies are installed in the valve. To order, specify the following part number: PHK-BN 1/4 NPT Plug (Working Pressure: 10,000 psi) The 1/4 NPT plug is used to plug the test ports or purge ports of the manifold valves when not in use. These plugs are designed to be rated to 10,000 psi working pressure to coincide with the working pressure of the manifold valve. To order, specify the following part number: 10PLGS4NM Valve Packing Material Standard packing material for the needle valves is PTFE (Teflon ). PTFE packing has an operating temperature of 0ºF (-17.8ºC) to 450ºF (232ºC). Other available packing materials are as follows: GY: Graphite Braided Yarn packing to 800 F (427 C) Valve Repair Kit The valve repair kit is used to replace any worn or damaged valve assemblies. Valve repair kits are a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU). Flange Seal Materials (Direct Mount Only) Standard seal material for the flange connection is PTFE (Teflon ). Other materials are available. See the How to Order page for more details. 6

7 3 & 5 VALVE DIFFERENTIAL MANIFOLDS MOUNTING OPTIONS Direct Mount Bracket The direct mount bracket is a simple to install bracket on horizontal or vertical 2 standpipes. This bracket is to be used with direct mount manifolds only. U-bolt mounting kit sold separately. Part No.: A Z Remote Mount Bracket The remote mount bracket is a simple to install bracket on horizontal or vertical 2 standpipes. This bracket is to be used with remote mount manifolds only. U-bolt mounting kit sold separately. Part No.: A Y U-bolt Assembly The U-bolt is used to secure the bracket onto a 2 standpipe. The U- bolt kit comes with two washers and nuts to secure the bracket to the standpipe. Individual parts are also available.
