You can also lay he special Track Pad provided or a coin fla on he Rails and rub unil Rails are shiny. Blow ino he grooves o remove any small paricles. Periodically wipe racks wih a clean cloh o rernove excess dus. A. CLEAN TIRES & TRACK B. AqJUST WHEELS lf he wheels bind agains he car's chassis, use a screwdriver o carefully pry he wheels ou. Roll rear ires across he ape a few imes Screwdriver E. CLEAN OR REPLACE PICK UP SHOES Regularly clean Pick-Up Shoes by carefully rubbing hem wih a clean pencil eraser or special Track pad provided. Do no apply oo much pressure or you may bend he Pick-Up Shoes. Do no use seel wool o clean shoes, lf Pick-Up Shoes are slighly or unevenly worn, swich hem around. 5 Performing atune-up To keep your car running in op performance, here's he mechanics guide o AFX une-ups. A pair of spare shoes and springs are included. Ask your Toy or Hobby Dealer for he, AFX Tune-Up Ki (No. 8634) which includes all he pars you need for a complee une-up. NOTE: Before yoii begin, place a piece of whie paper under your work area o make pieces easier o fnd. - I. REMovTNG BoDY A. Hold Rear Wheels. Pull ou on one side of Body unil i clears he Chassis Tab, hen'remove Body. 4. REPLACING REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY A. ln he AFX Tune-Up Ki, he Rear Axle'comes assembled wih Gear Spacer and Crown Gear already in place. Simply snap Rear Wheel Assembly in as shown, hen slide Tires ono Wheels. NOTE: You may need o adjus he Wheels: see "Troubleshooing" Secion B. Wheel Rear Wheel Crown Gear Rear Wheels 2. Firs remove he magne reainer rom he rear of he chassis. Then remove rear axle assembly and shield. See exposed view for deail and posiion of pars. B. Using a small screwdriver, place he head beween he magne and chassis as shown on Figure B. Noe ha he placemen of he screwdriver should be close o he moor brace moun. Once placed move he screwdriver inward oward he magne and move up. The moor should now be raised a lile. A his poin push up from underneah he chassis. You should now be able o remove he moor. To reassemble jus reverse process. C. When deaching he moor from he brush housing, be careful as o no damage he brush (see Figure C.) NOTE: Magnes have a whie nnarking on one side.
