The filtratin f water intended fr dmestic use r fr industrial uses, cming frm urban mains r well water, shws pllutin f varius kinds, sediment r in suspensin which, if psitined during precipitatin, may subsequently interact giving rise t unpleasant cmpunds and, in turn, cntaminants. The filters are characterised by the presence f tw pressure gauges: ne measures the input pressure and the secnd the utput pressure. OPERATION Thrugh a mandatry path the fluid is frced t pass thrugh the cartridge meshes which prevents the crssing f the larger particles. The impurities stpped by the filter are accumulated n its bttm as lng as the pening f the specific discharge valve allws the expulsin theref. USE Generally used in plumbing and heating systems, they can be used in all circuits whse transiting fluid (ht r cld) is cmpatible with the cnstructin materials. The applicatin f the self-cleaning filters in the heating and air cnditining systems is a prper preventin in the frmatin f sludge fr dissciatin f the mineral salts cntained in thermal fluid and recirculatin waters. ASSEMBLY The filter must be installed with the impurities discharge valve facing dwnwards, respecting the directinal arrw lcated n the filter bdy. (fr further infrmatin, refer t that reprted n page 6 in this sheet). MAINTENANCE The filter cartridge is made f stainless steel AISI 304, and can be regenerated and replaced fr maintenance r changed with a different degree. The filter has excellent flw rates even with clgging f 50%, after which cleaning is recmmended. The RBM Self-Cleaning filters must be subjected t scheduled rutine maintenance (cleaning and, if necessary, change the filtering mesh) at least nce every six mnths; (fr further infrmatin, refer t that reprted n page 6 in this sheet). During this peratin, the fluid that flws ut drags with it the impurities that were trapped in the cartridge mesh, freeing the transit sectins. The pressure gauges n the self-cleaning filter are bth displays f the inlet and utlet pressures and check blckage f the cartridge. This is displayed when the pressure difference indicated by the pressure gauges at a given flw rate, with a clean filter, increases gradually ver time. The number f meshes present per square metre is an essential element t crrectly select the filter. A filtering cartridge, in fact, stands ut frm ther depending n the amunt f meshes present. The narrwer the filter meshes the tighter will the filter be; therefre, the higher the number f meshes per square metre and the greater the filtering capacity f the filter. It is necessary t knw the light f a single filtering mesh t understand hw many are present per square metre. Each filtering cartridge is accmpanied by a number expressed in micrn [1μ = mm] that expresses its filtering capacity. This number represents the diameter f the rim [D: see figure] enclsed inside the diamnd mesh f the filter cartridge. 6 ASSEMBLY Directinal arrws Water flw directin Impurity discharge valve Assembly diagram f the self-cleaning filter inside a hydraulic circuit The image shws hw the RBM self-cleaning filter must be installed inside a hydraulic circuit. The filter must be installed with the impurities discharge valve facing dwnwards, t facilitate the depsit f particles in suspensin n the bttm. The filter must be placed inside the circuit, respecting the directinal arrw stamped n the bdy f the filter, which indicates the flw directin f the circuit. Always prvide a shut-ff valve lcated upstream f the filter t simplify maintenance / cleaning. MAINTENANCE 2 Cap 1 PTFE ring nut Cartridge t be replaced WASHING THE CARTRIDGE: T wash the cartridge, drain the liquid by pening the drain valve with hse cnnectin; N.B.: During this peratin, the shut-ff valves 1 and 2 must be pen. FILTERING CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT: PRECAUTIONS: Fr the rutine maintenance f the filter and t prevent the emptying f the system, apply a shut-ff valve (ball valves) in the area f peratin. N.B. : It is nt essential that the shut-ff valves are in prximity f the filter. It is sufficient that in any case there are tw ccks in a well delimited part f the circuit in rder t avid an excessive utflw f water that culd create serius washut prblems in the envirnment. Discharge with hse cnnectin OPERATIONS: Bring the cntainers which must cntain the utflw f water clser; Clse the ccks 1 / 2; Unscrew the cap, (if high temperature fluid circulates in the circuit, use the due precautins and the specific prtectins t avid direct cntact with the fluid). Extract the cartridge has already used, wash it and if necessary replace it with the new ne. (filtering mesh available, ranging between and 800 micrn). Pay attentin t insert the PTFE ring nut n the filter cartridge; Clse the filter with the relevant cap; Re-pen the valve upstream f the filter t pen the hydraulic system.
