THIS KIT MUST BE INSTALLED WITH FTS7265 FRONT SHOCKS AND FTS3400 OR FTS3420 SUSPENSION SYSTEM. O.E.M. WHEELS AND TIRES CAN BE USED AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THIS KIT. FABTECH RECOMMEND S AFTER MARKET WHEELS WITH A MAXIMUM BACKSPACING OF 4 5/8. TOOL LIST: (NOT INCLUDED) FLOOR JACK JACK STANDS ASSORTED METRIC AND S.A.E SOCKETS DRILL WITH ¼, ½, 1 BITS

2 INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Discnnect the negative terminal n the battery. Jack up the frnt end f the truck and supprt the frnt frame rails with jack stands. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE! Remve the frnt tires. n the backside f the frame. Trque the three tp nuts t factry specs and the frnt ½ blt t 65 ft/lbs. SEE PHOTO BELOW. 2. Supprt the frnt axle with tw flr jacks. Starting n the driver s side f the truck, remve the tp nuts n the frnt shcks and the lwer blts securing the shck t the axle. Remve the three nuts securing the upper shck munt cage t the cil spring munt. Remve the frnt shcks frm the truck. Lwer the jacks under the frnt axle and remve the cil springs. 3. Place the new driver s side upper shck munt (FTS D) n tp f the cil twer and the three blts. Hand tighten the riginal nuts. Using a center punch, mark the center f the hle n the frnt lwer tube, n sme trucks the 1 hle will already exist n the utside f the frame, yu will still have t drill the ½ hle n the inside f the frame. Remve the three nuts securing the upper shck munt t the cil twer. Starting with a ¼ bit, drill straight thrugh bth sides f the frame. Fllw thrugh the hle with a ½ bit. Using a 1 drill, enlarge the hle n the utside f the frame t 1, DO NOT DRILL THROUGH THE INSIDE OF THE FRAME! SEE PHOTOS BELOW. 5. Take ne f the ½ x 1 ½ blts, ½ flat washers, ½ lck washers and attach the drivers side supprt tube (FTS D) t the side f the upper shck munt. The bttm f the supprt tube shuld rest against the tp f the bump stp tab. If the supprt tube des nt rest against the tp f the bump stp tab than use the supplied FT spacer between the supprt tube and the tab. Mark the hle psitin using a center punch. Swing the supprt tube ut f the way and drill a ¼ pilt hle. Fllw thrugh with a ½ drill bit and attach the supprt tube t the bump stp tab using a ½ x 1 ½ blt, ½ flat washers and a ½ lck nut, if yu are use the supplied spacer than use the supplied ½ X 2 ½ blt in place f the 1 ½ blt.. Trque the tp and the bttm blts t 65 ft/lbs. SEE PHOTOS BELOW. 4. Place the upper shck munt back nt the cil twer. Slide the driver s side frame sleeve (2 13/16 lng) int the new 1 hle. Place a ½ x 4 blt thrugh the frnt tube f the upper shck munt, int the frame sleeve and thrugh the back f the frame. Use a ½ flat washer and lck nut

3 6. Psitin the lwer shck munt belw the lwer cil spring munt. Secure the bracket t the lwer cil spring munt using the supplied ½ x 1 ½ blts, ½ flat washers and ½ lck nut. Yu will need t drill ut the 2 factry hles t ½. The rear hle will use the ½ x 4 ½ blt, nut and washer, thrw the existing link arm hle. SEE PHOTO BELOW. ( PICTURE IS OF PASSENGER SIDE ) 10. Using a ½ x 3 ½ blt, ½ flat washers and lck nut, supplied in the FTS3400 r FTS3420 kit, attach the bttm f the limit strap t the new link arm munt blt. There shuld be a ½ flat washer n each side f the limit strap tab. While pulling tensin n the limit strap, trque the lwer blt t 40 ft/lbs. SEE PHOTO BELOW. 7. Repeat steps tw thrugh six n the passenger s side f the truck. The passenger s side f the truck will use the ½ x 3 ½ blt and 1 7/8 frame sleeve n the frnt tube f the upper shck munt. 8. Reinstall the cil springs int the truck the same way they were remved, raising the jacks t supprt the frnt axle. SEE PHOTO BELOW. 11. Attach the frnt shck t the munts using ½ x 3 blts, with ½ flat washers and a lck nuts. Trque all shck blts t 40 ft/lbs. SEE PHOTO BELOW AND NEXT PAGE. 9. Slide ne f the frnt shcks int the rear upper shck tabs. Take a limit strap and slide a ½ x 3 blt thrugh ne end, with a ½ flat washer n each side f the limit strap tab. Nw slide the blt thrugh the upper shck tabs and the shck. Place a flat washer and a ½ lck nut nt the blt. Attach the bttm f the shck nt the lwer shck munt with a ½ x 3 blt, with ½ flat washers and a lck nut. SEE PHOTO NEXT COLUMN.

4 13. Reinstall the frnt tires and trque the lugs t factry specificatins. The factry trque specificatins can be fund in yur wners manual. Set the truck back nt the grund. WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL FULLY IN EACH DIRECTION, MAKE SURE THERE IS AMPLE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE WHEELS, TIRES, LINK ARMS, BRAKE LINES AND ABS WIRES. 14. Check frnt-end alignment and set t factry specificatins. 12. Repeat steps nine thrugh eleven n the passenger s side f the truck. The passenger s side f the truck will use the ½ x 3 ½ blt and 1 7/8 frame sleeve n the frnt tube f the upper shck munt. RETORQUE ALL NUTS, BOLTS AND LUGS AFTER 50 MILES AND PERIODICALLY THEREAFTER.
