When yu see this symbl n yur equipment, be alert t the ptential r persnal injury. GrwerSelect equipment is designed t be installed and perated as safely as pssible, hwever, hazards d exist. Signal Wrds Signal wrds are used in cnjunctin with the safety-alert symbl t identify the severity f the warning. DANGER - identifies immediate hazards which WILL result in severe persnal injury r death. WARNING - identifies hazards r unsafe practices which COULD result in severe persnal injury and death. CAUTION identifies hazards r unsafe practices which COULD result in minr persnal injury r prduct r prperty damage. Warning Mving Parts Keep hands and clthing clear f mving parts. Chain Disk can cut and crush. Severe persnal injury will result if the electrical pwer is nt discnnected prir t servicing the unit. DANGER ELECTROCUTION HAZARD Discnnect electrical pwer befre inspecting r servicing equipment unless maintenance instructins specifically states therwise. Grund all electrical equipment fr safety. All electrical wiring must be dne by a qualified electrician in accrdance with lcal and natinal electrical cdes. Grund all nn-current carrying metal parts t guard against electrical shck. 5 General Safety Ntes The assembly, installatin, and maintenance must be perfrmed by qualified persnnel. Safety ntes and warnings in these instructins and n the system equipment must be fllwed. Failure t fllw specified instructins may cause damage t equipment and/r persnal injury r death. All cmpnents in the GROW-DISK chain system must be transprted and assembled prperly. System may nly be perated if all the necessary emergency and alarm systems are cnnected and peratinal. System must be maintained at regular intervals. Only manufacturer-apprved cmpnents and accessries may be perated in cnjunctin with the system. A lckable main switch must be installed between the cntrls and the main pwer capable f shutting the system dwn. It must be ensured that the system cannt be turned n by a third party. Befre cmpnents in the feed system are pened, the chain must have cme t a cmplete stp. Wrk n the feed system may nly be carried ut with the crrespnding safety equipment (wrk glves etc.). All system parts must be prperly grunded t guard against electrical shck. The system may nly be perated if all cmpnents are clsed (driving unit, deflectr crner pieces, and feed receiving statin). The system must be switched ff immediately if the cnveyr chain is blcked. In systems with tw r mre feed bins in a rw, nly ne bin may dispense feed int the feed system. The system can be started autmatically using the cntrls. It must be ensured that n persns can reach int dangerus places with their hands. The safety equipment may nt be switched t inactive. The feed system may nly be repaired by persns wh are authrized by the manufacturer. These instructins are t be submitted t the system peratr fllwing successful assembly. Always wear prtective clthing and any applicable Persnal Prtective Equipment (Safety Glasses and/r Ear Plugs) when wrking with the equipment. Discarded materials, equipment, and bxes shuld be recycled in accrdance with lcal and natinal cdes. Nte: System is t be wired in accrdance with all applicable lcal and natinal electrical wiring cdes. 6 General Assembly / Operatin Ntes Prir t perfrming any wrk n Grw-Disk Feed System, read this entire manual. This assembly/perating instructins manual is intended t prvide guidelines fr the installatin f system. Instructins shuld be cnsidered as recmmendatins nly. Actual installatin may vary depending n specific cnditins. Wiring diagrams are included within this manual. Instructins shuld nly be carried ut by a qualified technician. This persn must have a gd understanding f technical issues and drawings in bth mechanical and electrical areas. The system is nly suitable fr peratin in dry areas. System parts that are assembled utside the huse must be adequately prtected against misture. D nt pressure wash the drive unit, chain disk fill hpper, unsealed crners, prximity switch, cntrller r any ther electrnic cmpnents. The surfaces n which the system parts are assembled must be able t withstand the static lads. The GROW-DISK Feed System must nt exceed any f the design criteria (See Grw-Disk Feed System Specificatins n page 9). Refer t Grw-Disk HSCD-100 System Cntrller (Hg Slat part # HSMANUAL-048) fr system cntrl. Refer t GROW-FLE AUGER SYSTEM Manual (Hg Slat part # HSMANUAL-020) fr prper installatin f the GROW-FLE AUGER SYSTEM. The feed system is intended fr the transprtatin f feed. Maximum running time f the system may nt exceed 4 hurs per day. Only dry feed may be transprted in the feed cnveyr system (maximum residual misture = 14%, maximum filling level = 50%). 7 GROW-DISK Feed System Principle f Operatin Figure 1. The structure f the GROW-DISK Feed System depends n the cnditins at the site and must be designed individually. The delivered quantity f crners (1) and the length f the cnveyer tubes (2) are calculated by the seller. The manufacturer must be cnsulted befre any extensin f the feed cnveyer system with crner pieces and / r cnveyer tubes. The GROW-DISK Feed system is a clsed lp made up f cnveyer tubes (2) and crner (1) pieces. The feed is distributed by a GROW-FLE AUGER SYSTEM t the chain disk fill hpper (3). The fill level can be mnitred at the cnveyer tube with the GROWER-SELECT Cntrl Tube (clear tube) if prvided. The drive unit (4) pulls a clsed cnveyer chain thrugh the cnveyer tube system. The cnveyer chain (5) transprts the feed t the feed dispensing statins with drp tubes (6). Depending n the shutter psitin f the utlet drps r sw drps (pen r clsed), the feed is either let ut f the cnveyer tubes r transprted further. The shutdwn prximity switch (7) lcated near the last feed dispenser statin stps the drive unit s that n feed can be transprted past the last feed dispenser statin. Hg Slat Inc. 10 Principle f Operatin fr the GROW-DISK Drive Unit (WL ) The Drive Unit is an enclsed stainless steel husing with a spring laded idler tensining wheel, a drive sprcket wheel, and a safety switch t shut dwn the system if it becmes bstructed by a freign bject r has incrrect cnveyer chain tensin. The drive sprcket wheel pulls the cnveyer chain ut f the cnveyer tube system. The guide wheel takes the chain back int the cnveyer tube system n the ther side f drive unit. Crrect chain tensin is autmatically adjusted by a spring laded tensining wheel. The Drive Unit is designed s that if feed enters the unit, it is able t carry it back ut again. Because f this, the Drive Unit can be placed anywhere in the system as lng as it is accessible and away frm ptential traffic areas. The best psitin t lcate the Drive Unit is between the last dispensing pint and the Chain Disk Fill Hpper. Ideally, the Drive Unit can be suspended frm ceiling but can als be munted t the wall via brackets. The entire Drive Unit weighs arund 200 punds. If it is suspended, make sure it is munted prperly t avid structural damage and bdily injury. CHAIN OUTGOING SIDE CHAIN INTAKE SIDE GROW-DISK Drive Unit Assembly Requirements The GROW-DISK Drive Unit must be installed in such a way that it meets all the fllwing cnditins. Drive Unit must be munted hrizntally and securely. MUST BE LEVEL WHEN INSTALLED! Assemble Drive Unit s internal cmpnents and the mtr n the backside are accessible. Distance between the input-side f drive unit t crner must be a minimum f 8 feet. Distance between the utput-side f drive unit t crner must be a minimum f 4 feet. The Chain Disk Fill Hpper must be placed n the utput side f Drive Unit and munted hrizntally. The cnnectins fr the Drive Unit and the Chain Disk Fill Hpper must be aligned with ne anther. D nt assemble any feed dispensers between the Drive Unit and Chain Disk Fill Hpper. Shutdwn prximity switch must be installed either in r after the last feed dispenser. Hg Slat Inc. 11 Suspensin f the Drive Unit Screw cup hks (A) securely int ceiling apprximately 32 apart frm ne anther t prvide a stable suspensin. Place turnbuckle (B) nt lag eye blts in ceiling. Cnnect quick link (C) t turnbuckle and ne end f chain (D). Place secnd quick link (C) t chain at apprximately the desired height fr drive unit. Attach eye blt (E) t drive unit with washer and lcknut. Cnnect the secnd quick link t the eyeblt. Level drive unit by re-hking chain as necessary r by adjusting the turnbuckles in r ut. 12 GROW-DISK Cnveyer Tubes Assembly Requirements The GROW-DISK Cnveyer Tubes must be assembled in such a way that it meets all the fllwing cnditins. All cnveyer tubes must be assembled s the welded jint is at the tp. Cnveyer tubes must be munted hrizntally and hung every 5 feet n wall brackets r chain supprts. Cnveyer tubes can be laid at a maximum angle f 45 t cver different levels f height. Greater inclines shuld be avided. Assembly / Layut f Cnveyer Tubes (HSFT2375) Layut f the tubing is ne f the mst imprtant steps in the installatin f the GROW-DISK Feed System. Tubes shuld be placed in the apprximate lcatin where they will be installed. System must be clsed lped, sectins f tubing can g in any directin, and the change in directin must be 90. Overlap the tubes where there is t be a crner but d nt cut the tubes until all ther cmpnents are installed. Determine where the drp tubes will be placed. Nte: Befre installatin check the ptimal installatin height f the system. Check psitins and height levels f Inlets, Chimneys, Drs, Flexible Auger, r ld Chain Feeding Systems. Nte: Make sure that the ends f the tubes d nt cnnect where there is t be a drp kit r ther feed dispenser. If this ccurs, ne end f the tube must be cut ff enugh s the cupler will miss the drp kit. Nte: Drill r cut all utlet hles befre assembling Once the tubing has been laid ut, the tubes shuld be cnnected in full lengths where pssible. All tubes must be cnnected t each ther in the center f the cupler, n space between the tubes! All tubes need t have straight cuts (90 ) and all burrs must be remved befre installatin. The weld n the tube must be facing up (as shwn belw) t avid any chain disk damages during peratin and t preserve the drill bits. Assemble welded steel tubing using steel cmpressin cuplers. Nte: Make sure all cuplers are facing dwnward as shwn belw. This will ensure n water gets in the system! INCORRECT CUT Hg Slat Inc. Newtn Grve, NC USA May

13 Cnnectin f Cnveyer Tube t Drive Unit (WL ) Attach the cnveyer tube s that it butts up t the stainless steel tubing n bth the inlet and utlet side f the drive unit. Place a steel cmpressin cupler ver the welded steel tubing and the inlet/utlet f the drive unit and tighten hardware securely. Nte: Make sure cupler is assembled facing dwnward as shwn belw t prevent water frm entering. Psitin cupler facing dwnward Cnnectin f Cnveyer Tube t Chain Disk Fill Hpper (HSCD304-4) Attach the welded steel tubing s that it butts up t the stainless steel tubing n bth the inlet and utlet side f the Chain Disk Fill Hpper. Place a steel cmpressin cupler (5) ver the welded steel tubing (6) and the inlet/utlet f the fill hpper (4) and tighten hardware securely. 14 Cnnectin f Cnveyer Tube t Feed Sensr Sight Tube (HSCD-900) In a lcatin after the last drp but befre the chain disk drive system, install the feed sensr Clear Tube. The clear tube (3) HSCD installs in-line with the chain disk pipe as shwn belw. The rientatin f the clear tube shuld be lcated s the directin arrws n the side f the tube pints in the travel directin f the chain disk. Insert the chain disk feed pipe frm each side int the tube until it stps (apprximately 2 ). Secure the clear tube t the chain disk feed pipe using tw pipe clamps (1) psitin near the uter edges f the clear tube. The clear tube has mlded in ribs t prvide the lcatins fr the clamps. Next install HSCD Feed Sensr munting bracket (2) t the clear tube (3). Using tw clamps (1) rute the end f the clamp thrugh the slts f the munting bracket and secure t the clear tube as shwn. HAND TIGHTEN THE CLAMPS WITH SCREWDRIVER OR NUT DRIVER ONLY. DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS TO TIGHTEN! Fr installatin f the Feed Sensr, refer t sectin HS11 Feed Sensr. 15 GROW-DISK Crner Assembly Requirements The GROW-DISK Crners must be assembled in such a way that it meets all the fllwing cnditins. The crners must be assembled s that the arrw n the guide wheel turns in the directin f transprtatin. Nte: Mark the chain running directin at the cnveyer tubes in frnt r behind f each crner. Cnveyer tubes must be inserted int the crner up t the tube stp. Cnveyer tubes must be supprted in frnt f and behind each crner. Distance between the crners must be at least 4 feet. Distance between the input side f drive unit t crner must be a minimum f 8 feet. Distance between the utput side f drive unit t crner must be a minimum f 4 feet. Maximum 24 crners per system. Installatin and Sealing f Crners (WL ) Tube Stp Lcatin mm Tube Stp 1. Open the pre-assembled crner and remve the fastener kit. Place the crner between the installed cnveyr tubes (tubes must be straight cut and clean). Insert bth tubes 3.23 (82mm) int the crner as shwn abve. Nte: Tubes must bttm ut against tube stp as shwn abve n right. 2. Attach the blue clamp straps ver the cnveyer tubes with 2 blts and nuts per strap. 16 3. Cnfirm crner wheels running directin crrespnds with directin f feed travel in the cnveyer tubes. Nte: Mark running directin at the cnveyer tubes at each crner. Imprtant: Cast Irn wheel is designed t turn in nly ne directin. Arrw n tp f wheel indicates running directin. 4. Pull the chain thrugh the cnveyer tubes and all crners, in directin as shwn. The cnveyer chain must be tight n the cast irn wheel. (additinal infrmatin see GROW-DISK Chain Installatin) Nte: All crners remain pen until the installatin f the chain has been cmpleted. 5. Place the washer (spacer) n tp f wheel bearing 6. Sealing Tubes in Crner Apply a thick silicne strip ver the cnveyer tubes. 7. Place cver ver all crners and lay the eccentric washers n tp f the axle and place them int the scket f the cvers as shwn abve. Place all blts and nuts and tighten them by hand t hld the cver in psitin. Check the psitin f the tubes befre yu tighten all fasteners crsswise with a wrench. Cautin: D NOT ver tighten nuts. 17 Nte: Crners must be installed with supprts n each side as shwn. Sealing f Crners (WL ) 8. After prper Initial Operatin / Start up (additinal infrmatin see Start Up instructins) turn ff the pwer f the GROW-DISK Feed System and remve nuts and eccentric washers n crners. Apply thick silicne in the sckets arund the axle tp and bttm as shwn abve. Replace eccentric washers and nuts. 9. Apply silicne int the grve arund the cmplete crner. 10. Press the silicne int the grve with yur finger System may be perated 1.5 hurs after silicne is applied. Nte: Only Sealed Crners Can Be Pressure Washed! 18 GROW-DISK Cnveyer Chain Installatin Requirements The GROW-DISK Cnveyer Chain must be assembled in such a way that it meets all the fllwing cnditins. All cnveyer tubes must be assembled s the welded jint is at the tp. Cnveyer tubes must be munted hrizntally and hung every 5 feet n wall brackets r chain supprts. All utlet hles are drilled r cut befre chain installatin! Cautin! In rder t avid damage t the cnveyer chain and cntaminatin f the feed, all burrs and metal shavings created by cutting and drilling must be remved prir t use. All Crners are in place and prepared fr chain installatin! GROW-DISK Cnveyer Chain Installatin Cautin: T prevent damage, the chain disk must nt be twisted when it is installed. Nte: Recmmendatin that 2 r mre peple assist in the chain installatin. 1. Remve chain frm bag (164 ft). (Leather wrk glves are recmmended.) 2. Lay the entire length f chain ut straight. Nte: remve any kinks r knts. 3. Check if any disk r chain links are damaged. 4. At the end f the feed tube lp (behind the Drive unit), push a cable/fish tape thrugh the tube until it cmes ut int the first crner. A plastic hpper/funnel will be beneficial t prevent chain disk frm blcking n feed tube. Nte: Pull chain frm ne end f the lp nly. 5. Cnnect ne end f the first sectin f chain t the cable/fish tape. 6. Pull the cnveyer chain thrugh the tubing t the first crner piece. 7. If the sectin f tubing is lnger that the sectin f chain, use mre than ne bag f chain and cnnect them tgether by using a chain cupler. Nte: T easily identify the chain cupler fr maintenance purpses, mark the cupler with clr adhesive tape. Hg Slat Inc. Newtn Grve, NC USA May

19 8. Push the cable/fish tape again thrugh the utging tube at the first crner until it cmes ut at the next crner. 9. Pull the cnveyer chain frm the secnd crner thrugh the tubing. If the sectin f tubing is lnger than the chain, cnnect a new sectin f chain. (Details step 7) 10. Repeat this prcess (step 8 & 9) until the cnveyer chain is pulled thrugh the cmplete cnveyer tubes, all crners, chain disk fill hpper and clsed the lp at the ther side f the Drive Unit. 11. Befre yu can install the cnveyer chain in the Drive Unit; pull n the chain and disks until all the slack has been remved frm each sides f the chain lp! 12. Cnfirm the cnveyer chain is tight n the nyln wheel at each crner. 13. Adjust the tensining rd (2) inward n drive unit (1) as far as pssible twards the drive sprcket (5). This will allw the idler tensining wheel (4) t get clse t the drive sprcket fr tightening chain (3) after assembled. 14. Wrap ne end f the chain (3) arund the idler wheel (4) and the ther end f chain nt the drive sprcket (5). 15. Psitin the Safety Switch (6) apprximately 2 inches frm the left side f bracket. This will prevent the initial startup mvement frm causing an errneus activatin f switch due t any slack in chain r stretching f chain. 16. Cut the ends f each chain (3) s that the cnnectin can be made in a cnvenient lcatin. Hg Slat Inc. Newtn Grve, NC USA May

20 17. Cnnect the chain (3) ends with chain cupler and mark with clr adhesive tape fr easy identificatin. (details chain cnnectin step 7) 18. Readjust the tensining rd (2) all the way back ut s the Safety Switch bracket is capable f flating freely. 19. Place cver n drive unit and secure. 21 GROW-DISK Outlet Drp Assembling / Installatin HS660S Mdel 60 Drp Adaptr Straight Chain Disk The GrwerSELECT HS660S Feed Line Drp Adaptr is designed t allw the transfer f feed frm a feed line r Feed Delivery System int a gravity Drp Tube at desired lcatin alng the Feed Delivery System. They are t be used nly with diameter chain disk tubes. The GROW-FLE AUGER System must be used t transprt feed frm the bulk feed tank t the GROW-DISK Feed System inside the cntainment huse. In clder climates, the GROW-DISK Feed System can pssibly lck up when used utside due t freezing temperatures whereas the GROW-FLE AUGER System can break up lse frzen feed fr delivery. The GROW-FLE AUGER SYSTEM can be installed either parallel r perpendicular t the Grw-Disk chain system. HS693 Feed Line Cntrl Unit 230V Single Phase The HS693 Cntrl Unit is designed fr use with a flexible auger feed system where cntrl f an auger drive mtr is required. Pwer t the auger drive mtr is dne thrugh feed pressure being applied t a diaphragm cupled t an electrical switch internal t the cntrl unit husing. This switch in cnjunctin with a multi ple relay is used t cntrl the auger drive mtr by turning ff the pwer when feed is present and turning n the pwer when feed has been remved frm the cntrl unit husing. Auxiliary switch inputs prvide a series circuit that allws the Cntrl Unit Switch Assembly t be cntrlled by a variety f methds including hpper level, drp tube, prximity and varius ther cntrl devices fund in feed systems. 34 HSCD-100 Current Sensr The Grw-Disk chain disk system can ver fill if the Grw-Flex feed system s capacity is greater than the capacity f the Grw-Disk system. Overfilling will verlad the Grw-Disk mtr causing the thermal verlad switch t kick ut and/r premature mtr failure. T prevent this frm ccurring, a current sensr has been installed n the Grw-Disk HSCD-100 Cntrller circuit bard. This current sensr mnitrs the amp draw f the Chain Disk mtr and cntrls a relay which is wired t the fill system. If the amperage exceeds the value defined by Max Current, it will temprarily turn ff the GROW-FLE AUGER System. As the Chain Disk system cntinues t empty itself the amp draw will decrease steadily. If the amperage drps belw the defined Windw values then the GROW-FLE AUGER System will turn n. This ON/OFF cycling f the GROW-FLE AUGER System will ccur every few minutes until the Grw-Disk system is full. At this time, bth the chain disk system and the fill system will shut ff. When the amperage exceeds the value defined by critical amps n the Chain Disk mtr lad, the cmplete system is shut dwn and the cntrller ges int alarm mde. 36 GROW-DISK HSCD-100-SS -Sft Start fr Chain Disk System The HSCD-100-SS sft starter is designed t start the chain disk drive mtr at a slwer rate in rder t reduce the mechanical impact n the system upn start-up. With lnger systems, the impact f starting the system almst instantaneusly results in severe frce placed n the chain, crners and drive system until the system is up t speed. The HSCD-100-SS reduces the start-up current f the drive mtr and ramps the mtr up t full speed ver a perid f 3 secnds reducing the sudden impact n the system. Once the system has been started fr 5 secnds, the sft start circuit is bypassed allwing the mtr t run at nrmal full speed. Any time the chain disk drive mtr is started, the sft start circuitry will be active. The HSCD-100-SS unit is electrically placed in between the utput f the HSCD-100 chain disk cntrller cntactr and the chain disk drive mtr. 37 Drive Unit Chain Safety Switch and Dr Switch Each Drive unit is equipped with 2 safety switches. The dr switch prevents the system frm starting with cver ff r shuts it dwn if the cver wuld be remved during peratin. The chain safety switch will shut ff the system if the cnveyer chain tensin is t lse r cnveyer chain is blcked. Chain Safety Switch Dr Switch Drive Unit Chain Safety Switch The safety switch is lcated inside the Drive Unit as shwn belw. The switch can be activated in either directin by a bracket which is attached t the idler wheel. If either side f the bracket (caused by chain being t lng r t shrt) cmes in cntact with the limit switch, it will shut the system dwn. It will als shut dwn if the chain r spring breaks r if a freign bject gets hung in system. Discnnect pwer and lcate prblem befre attempting t reactivate the system. Once the prblem has been crrected, pull the blue reset buttn n the safety switch and reset the HSCD-100 Cntrller. If LED indicatr is nt illuminated, turn sensitivity adjustment CLOCKWISE until the LED indicatr cmes ON. Then turn sensitivity adjustment COUNTERCLOCKWISE until LED indicatr is fully OFF (nt blinking). 4. T set sensitivity, place index finger n tubing 1/4 away frm edge f sensr. See Figure 3 Adjust sensitivity until LED indicatr is ON. 5. With the chain disk running past the Feed Sensr and n feed in the chain disk tube, the LED indicatr may blink as the disks pass by which is acceptable but shuld nt be ON slid as this wuld indicate the sensitivity is t high and wuld send false detectin signal t the cntrller. Turn sensitivity adjustment slwly COUNTERCLOCKWISE until the LED indicatr is nt ON slid while the disks pass by. 6. Further adjustment f the sensitivity may be required nce system cntains feed. 43 GROW-DISK Initial Operatin/ Start Up Requirements The GROW-DISK Feed System must be assembled / installed in such a way that it meets all the fllwing cnditins. The Drive Unit is munted hrizntally and securely. MUST BE LEVEL WHEN INSTALLED! The Drive Unit is installed s that internal cmpnents and the mtr n the backside are accessible. The Safety Switches f the Drive Unit are installed and active. (functin test befre start up) The tensining blt was readjusted all the way ut s the Safety Switch bracket is capable f flating freely. Place cver n drive unit and secure. All crners must be assembled s that the arrw n the guide wheel turns in the directin f transprtatin. All crner cvers must be installed accurately! The Cnveyer tubes must be supprted in frnt and behind f each crner. The Cnveyer tubes must be munted hrizntally and hung every 5 feet n wall brackets r chain supprts. The cver n the chain disk fill hpper is installed and secured. The Shutdwn prximity switch must be installed either in r after the last feed dispenser. The Chain Feeding Cntrller must be installed accurately! GROW-FLE AUGER System must be turned OFF! Clse all slides at the feed tank unladers All slides f any utlet r sw drp must be pen! GROW-DISK Feed System Initial Operatin/ Start Up Only qualified and trained persnnel are allwed t make the electrical cnnectins. T prevent injuries, the feed transprtatin system must be islated frm the pwer system. The system must be safeguarded against accidental restart. Cautin: Drive wheel must cme t a cmplete stp, befre pening any drive units. 1. Check Chain Running Directins Start the drive unit and run it fr 1-2 secnds Check t make sure drive sprcket is turning cunterclckwise as viewed frm inside the drive unit. If nt, rewire the mtr cnnectins accrding t the wiring diagram n the mtr. 2. Check the functin f the Drive Unit Dr Switch Restart the drive unit and remve the cver, system shuld turn ff! If alarm indicatin is displayed, then safety switch is wrking prperly. If nt, discnnect pwer, inspect wiring and safety switch, and replace if necessary. Turn pwer back ff, remve cver, and pull blue reset buttn ut t nrmal psitin, turn the Cntrller t manual stp, and acknwledge alarm n Cntrller is ff. 4. Check Chain Tensin f the System Psitin the Safety Switch apprximately 2 inches frm the left side f bracket. This will prevent the initial startup mvement frm causing an errneus activatin f switch due t any slack in chain r stretching f chain. Blck the Dr Switch (tape) and restart the drive unit and run it fr secnds. Cautin: Make sure n ne is in frnt f the drive unit and keeps their distance! Check the psitin f the Chain Safety Switch during peratin; it shuld be in the center f the safety bracket. If nt, turn ff the drive unit and discnnect all electrical pwer t shrten the cnveyer chain. (step 5) 5. Shrten cnveyer chain if needed Adjust the tensining blt inward n drive unit as far as pssible twards the drive sprcket. Chain sectins attached with Cupler Tape wrapped n Cupler Wrap ne end f the chain arund the idler wheel and the ther end f chain nt the drive sprcket. Cnnect the ends with chain cupler and mark with clr adhesive tape fr easy identificatin. Readjust the tensining blt all the way back ut s the Safety Switch bracket is capable f flating freely. Start the Grw Disk System and let it run fr min. 1 hur During peratin inspect all crners, fill hpper, utlet and sw drps fr unusual vibratins r sunds! If s, stp system immediately and check installatin f the affected part! 7. Cntrller and Prximity Switch adjustments After successful system start-up, turn n the GROW-FLE AUGER System All slides at the feed tank unladers are remain clsed!
