Pl Lift Lcatin. Pl lifts shall be lcated where the water level des nt exceed 48 inches (1220 mm). Page 3

4 2. Seat Lcatin. In the raised psitin, the centerline f the seat shall be lcated ver the deck and 16 inches (405 mm) minimum frm the edge f the pl. The deck surface between the centerline f the seat and the pl edge shall have a slpe nt steeper than 1: Clear Deck Space. On the side f the seat ppsite the water, a clear deck space shall be prvided parallel with the seat. The space shall be 36 inches (915 mm) wide minimum and shall extend frward 48 inches (1220 mm) minimum frm a line lcated 12 inches (305 mm) behind the rear edge f the seat. The clear deck space shall have a slpe nt steeper than 1: Submerged Depth. The lift shall be designed s that the seat will submerge t a water depth f 18 inches (455 mm) minimum belw the statinary water level. T make sure the lift has enugh clearance the lift shuld be installed at a lcatin with f Water depth 24 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM WITH CONTROL S Page 4

5 All f Glbal Lift Crp s Cmmercial Series Lifts are equipped with a sealed 24 vlt battery that is rechargeable. Alng with a charging unit, hand held cntrller and cntrl cmpartment. The 24 vlt battery munts right abve the cntrl cmpartment and the battery simply snaps in. The unit is perated by the 2 buttn easy t use cntrls, the arrw pinting dwn the lift will lwer itself when depressed, the arrw that pints up, depress and that will raise the unit. If yu hear the lw battery indicatr tne D Nt Use The Lift remve the battery frm the unit and recharge the battery. When the unit is nt in use, remve the battery and place it n the charger. The battery shuld never be left n the lift when nt in use. RECHARGING THE BATTERY: Remve battery frm the unit by unclipping frm the cntrl cmpartment. Place the battery in the charging unit. When the battery is charging the light will be illuminated, nce fully charged the charge light will g ff and then the battery is ready fr use in yur cmmercial series pl lift. Page 5

6 COMMERCIAL SERIES POOL LIFT OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Prir t using the Cmmercial Series Pl Lift perfrm a test run f the lift empty. Once that is cmpleted and the lift is back t riginal psitin, make sure that the arm lifts are in the up psitin and the seatbelt is unbuckled, nce acknwledged yu are ready! Once yu are in the seat, buckle the seatbelt (make sure it is snug) and lwer the arm rails. Befre yu attempt t perate the lift, make sure the pathway is clear frm any bstacles. Once yu have the 2 buttn easy cntrls in yur hand, press the arrw that specifies dwn, keep in mind yu dn t have t g t the bttm f the cycle, yu can stp the lift whenever yu deem cmfrtable t exit the lift. Hwever when exiting the pl while n the lift, yu shuld cmplete the cycle back t the tp t have a cmpletely safe exit frm the pl. Once submerged int the pl, unbuckle the seatbelt and raise the armrest and slide ff f the seat. Once yu are dne with yur pl activity, make sure the seat is lwered sufficiently t allw yu t easily slide back int the chair. Once yu are seated, buckle the seatbelt and make sure that it is snug, lwer the armrest. Next, t raise the lift chair ut f the pl, make sure yu press the buttn/arrw that represents up n the cntrl. Apply cntinuus pressure until the lift cmes t a cmplete stp at the end f the cmplete up cycle n the deck. Yu nw can unbuckle the seatbelt and raise the arm rest and exit the unit. Page 6

7 Maintenance Regular servicing will help prlng the life f yur lift. Rutine maintenance and cleaning is very imprtant. The fllwing is a rutine maintenance yu shuld fllw. Daily Weekly Mnthly Check and charge battery Test fr nrmal peratins Inspect yur lift Clean the lift and seat Cver and stre lift after use Overview Daily Checklist Inspects all cnnectins, frame, seat etc, Clean battery cnnectins Clean metallic surfaces with was cleaner The maintenance prvisin f the ADA states that a public accmmdatin shall maintain inperable wrking cnditin thse features f facilities and equipment that are required t be readily accessible t and usable by persns with disabilities" Page 7

8 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Befre any trubleshting cmmences make sure the battery has a full charge! (1) Des the lift raise r lwer NO (a) Check the battery cnnectin and recnnect (b) Check hand cntrls, make sure they are cnnected prperly (c) Check fr any lse wires n the cntrl cmpartment (d) Check the cnnectin cable fr damage (2) Did the lift stp mving ver water and is stuck? Yes (a) Have a persn try pushing the emergency buttn (b) Use a small bject such as a small Phillips screwdriver r pen t push in the black circle lcated next t where it says emergency n the frnt f the cntrl cmpartment (c) The emergency buttn verrides the cntrls in case they have gne bad Page 8

9 (d) If the abve des nt wrk then recheck the battery, battery cnnectin r the cntrls are nt cnnected prperly. Glbal Lif t Crp Lifetime Limited Warr anty Glbal Lift Crp lifts have a Lifetime Limited Warranty n the metal cmpnents f the frame, nt including the pwder cating prcess. Glbal Lift Crp warrants t the riginal retail end user that prducts manufactured by Glbal Lift Crp, when installed prperly in accrdance t the assembly and installatin instructins, and when prperly used and maintained, will be free frm material defects and wrkmanship as stated belw: Warranty starts frm date f riginal purchase Fill ut the Prduct Registratin Frm Metal structure (nt including pwder cat) Lifetime Limited Actuatr and cntrls 2 years frm date f purchase Internal Parts 12 mnths This warranty des nt cver if damages are due t accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, Exceed the weight capacity fr mdel purchased, failure t install r t assemble the prduct in accrdance with the installatin and assembly instructins, nrmal wear and tear frm day t day use, nt maintained prperly, if unit is altered r repaired withut written apprval f Glbal Lift Crp All Warranties are Vid. T cmmence the warranty claim prcess f a Glbal Lift Crp prduct, in writing prvide place f purchase alng with the prduct name and descriptin, date f installatin and the a detailed descriptin f the defect, alng with a pht f the entire prduct and claimed defect. Prir t a 30 day perid after receiving the written warranty claim by Glbal Lift Crp and barring any unfreseen delays the claimant will be ntified f Glbal Lift Crp's decisin regarding the claim. If the request made by Glbal Lift Crp fr the prduct t be returned t its factry r distributr f chice fr inspectin and/r repair, purchaser will be liable fr "Freight Prepaid". Glbal Lift Crp at its ptin will replace r repair the defective item and deliver the repaired prduct r replacement t the buyer f the prduct, freight prepaid by the purchaser t the destinatin n file in regards t the Page 9

10 riginal rder. Parts and Prducts returned fr replacement t Glbal Lift Crp shall remain the prperty f Glbal Lift Crp under this limited warranty. A new warranty perid shall nt be established fr any repaired r replaced prducts. Replaced r repaired prducts will remain under warranty nly fr the remainder f the riginal warranty perid fr the riginal prduct purchased. THE WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE. IN NO EVENT SHALL GLOBAL LIFT CORP LIABILITY EXCEED THE ENTIRE AMOUNT PAID TO GLOBAL LIFT CORP BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER IN REGARDS TO THE DEFECTIVE OR FAILED PRODUCT.
