6 Territorial limits ad Europea Uio (EU) compulsory isurace Territorial limits Except where we say otherwise your isurace applies i Great Britai, Norther Irelad, the Republic of Irelad, the Isle of Ma ad the Chael Islads. This icludes while your motorcycle is beig trasported withi ad betwee them. Europea Uio (EU) compulsory isurace If your motorcycle is registered ad kept i Great Britai, Norther Irelad, the Isle of Ma or the Chael Islads, we provide the miimum compulsory isurace, icludig whe your motorcycle is beig trasported, i: EU coutries; ad ay other coutry which follows EU directives. Your certificate of motor isurace is proof of compulsory motor isurace i EU coutries ad other coutries which follow the EU directive ad are approved by the Commissio of the EU. These coutries are show o your schedule ad your certificate of motor isurace. Sectio 1 Accidetal damage What is covered: If your motorcycle ad/or its accessories (icludig whe kept i your garage) are damaged by accidet, vadalism or malicious damage, we may: pay for repairs to your motorcycle; or replace what is lost or damaged; or pay the market value of your motorcycle at the time of the damage. Whe you accept our paymet, your motorcycle becomes our property, uless we agree otherwise. Sectio 2 Fire ad theft What is covered: If your motorcycle ad/or its accessories (icludig whe kept i your garage) are lost or damaged by fire, lightig, explosio, theft or attempted theft, we may: pay for repairs to your motorcycle; or replace what is lost or damaged; or pay the market value of your motorcycle at the time of the loss or damage. Whe you accept our paymet, your motorcycle becomes our property, uless we agree otherwise. What is ot covered uder sectios 1 ad 2 We wo t pay for: loss or damage to your motorcycle by theft or attempted theft if the igitio key or other igitio device is left i, o or attached to or left i the immediate proximity of your motorcycle; loss or damage to your motorcycle by theft or attempted theft if the egie has bee left ruig; wear ad tear, your motorcycle losig value, or for ay repairs which improve your motorcycle beyod its coditio before the loss or damage happeed; 5 Documet of Isurace motorcycle

7 mechaical, electrical, electroic or computer failures, breakdows or breakages; damage to tyres caused by brakig, puctures, cuts or bursts; more tha the maufacturer s latest list price i the Uited Kigdom (UK) of ay part or accessory. If such a list price is ot available the most we ll pay is the maufacturer s latest list price i the UK for a equivalet part or accessory; additioal costs caused by the uavailability of ay part or accessory. This icludes the cost of importig ay part or accessory ito the UK; loss or damage to your motorcycle caused directly by pressure waves from aircraft ad other aerial devices travellig at soic or supersoic speeds; loss of use of your motorcycle or ay other idirect loss, such as travel expeses or loss of earigs; loss or damage to your motorcycle caused by deceptio, fraud or trickery, icludig whe you are offerig your motorcycle for sale; where your motorcycle is ridde or used without your permissio by a member of your family or household uless you report them to the police for takig your motorcycle without your coset; loss or damage to your motorcycle as a result of it beig cofiscated or destroyed by or uder official order of ay govermet, public or local authority; deliberate damage caused to your motorcycle by ayoe isured uder your policy; loss or damage as a result of your motorcycle beig retured to its rightful ower; loss or damage if you have ot take care to protect your motorcycle, see care of your motorcycle uder the Geeral coditios sectio; loss or damage to ay trailer whether or ot it s beig towed by or attached to your motorcycle by equipmet maufactured for this purpose; ay additioal damage resultig from your motorcycle beig moved by ayoe isured uder your policy after a accidet, fire or theft; the total excess show o your schedule. Basis of settlemet sectios 1 ad 2 Owership If your motorcycle belogs to someoe else, or is uder a hire purchase or leasig agreemet, we ll pay the legal ower. Repairs Oce we have details of the accidet, if the loss or damage is covered, we ll agree with you how to arrage the repairs to your motorcycle. We may use parts or accessories, which are t made or supplied by your motorcycle s maufacturer but are of similar type ad quality to the parts ad accessories we re replacig. Excesses that apply If your schedule shows that you have a excess, you must pay the first part of ay claim. Jourey cotiuatio If your motorcycle caot be drive followig a accidet i the UK, which is covered uder sectios 1 ad 2, to help you cotiue your jourey, providig you re 25 miles or more Documet of Isurace motorcycle 6

8 from your startig poit ad destiatio, subject to you providig receipts, we ll reimburse you up to 500 for ay alterative trasport that you arrage. Ay u-receipted costs for alterative trasport, will ot be paid. We ll also provide this extra beefit if the accidet happes withi the EU ad your schedule shows Foreig use (sectio 5) is icluded. Sectio 3 Liability to other people What is covered: As a result of ay accidet ivolvig your motorcycle or ay other vehicle your certificate of motor isurace allows you to ride, we ll pay all sums you are legally resposible for: followig death of or bodily ijury to other people; ad up to 20,000,000 for damage to their property. Ridig other motorcycles If your certificate of motor isurace says so, we ll isure you to ride a private motorcycle i the UK, that you do ot ow, is ot registered to you ad ot hired to you uder a hire purchase or retal/leasig agreemet, as log as: you have the ower s permissio to ride the motorcycle; the motorcycle is registered ad ormally kept i Great Britai, Norther Irelad, the Isle of Ma or the Chael Islads; the motorcycle has t bee seized or cofiscated by or o behalf of ay govermet or public authority; you re ot covered by ay other isurace to ride it; ad you still have your motorcycle, it has t bee stole ad it has t bee damaged to a extet that it s a total loss. The cover is for third party oly, so loss or damage to the motorcycle you re ridig is t covered. Other people I the same way as you re isured, we ll isure: ay perso you permit to ride or use your motorcycle, as log as this is allowed by your schedule ad certificate of motor isurace; ay passeger travellig o your motorcycle; the employer or busiess parter of ay perso who is ridig or usig your motorcycle for their busiess, as log as this is allowed by your schedule ad certificate of motor isurace; ad the legal represetative of ay perso who has died if they would have bee etitled to protectio uder this sectio. Legal costs Followig a claim uder this policy, we ll pay your reasoable legal costs ad expeses relatig to: solicitors fees for represetatio at a coroer s iquest, fatal accidet iquiry or court of summary jurisdictio; ad defece of ay legal proceedigs for maslaughter or causig death by dagerous or reckless drivig. 7 Documet of Isurace motorcycle

9 I assessig whether legal costs ad expeses are reasoable the followig will be cosidered: the level of experiece required of the legal represetatio takig ito accout the ature of the case; the level of costs charged by the legal represetative; whether legal represetatio for a defece of prosecutios is likely to affect the outcome. Emergecy medical treatmet We ll pay for emergecy medical treatmet required uder the Road Traffic Acts, followig a accidet o your motorcycle. If this is the oly paymet we make, it wo t affect your o claim discout etitlemet. What is ot covered uder sectio 3 We wo t pay for: ay death, ijury, loss or damage caused directly or idirectly as a result of ay deliberate act by you or ay perso ridig your motorcycle; death of or bodily ijury to ay employee arisig out of or i the course of their employmet by ay perso who is covered by this sectio, uless they re a passeger o ay motorcycle for which isurace is provided by this sectio; legal resposibility which is covered by ay other isurace; loss of or damage to ay motorcycle which is covered by this sectio; the loss of or damage to ay property which belogs to or is i the care of ay perso who is claimig uder this sectio; legal resposibility, loss or damage whe your motorcycle is beig used i the operatioal boudaries of ay airport or airfield except whe required uder the Road Traffic Acts; more tha 20,000,000 for ay oe icidet or series of icidets arisig from oe evet that causes loss or damage to property. This amout is iclusive of all costs ad expeses up to 5,000,000. Sectio 4 Use by the motor trade, hotels ad car parks We ll give you the cover uder sectio 1: Accidetal damage ad sectio 2: Fire ad theft, if show as covered o your schedule, but we wo t apply ay ridig ad use restrictios or ay excess while your motorcycle is i the custody ad cotrol of: a member of the motor trade for service/repair/recovery; or a hotel restaurat, car park or similar commercial orgaisatio for parkig purposes. Sectio 5 Foreig use Europea Uio (EU) cover If this sectio is show as covered o your schedule, all other sectios o your schedule will be exteded to apply whilst i EU coutries ad ay other coutry that follows EU directives icludig whe your motorcycle is beig trasported. 10 beig registered ad ormally kept i Great Britai, Norther Irelad, the Isle of Ma or the Chael Islads; ad ot kept abroad for more tha 180 days durig your period of cover. Your certificate of motor isurace is proof of compulsory motor isurace i these coutries which are show o your schedule. Use i other foreig coutries If you wat to use your motorcycle i coutries ot listed o your schedule the as log as we agree, ad you pay ay extra premiums, we ll exted the sectios show as covered o your schedule to apply: i the coutries we ve agreed, icludig whe your motorcycle is beig trasported; ad for the period agreed. We ll sed you a gree card as proof of your isurace. If your motorcycle is lost or damaged i ay foreig coutry that we ve agreed to give cover for, you may be charged customs duty. If we cover the loss of or damage to your motorcycle, we ll also refud you the customs duty. Sectio 6 No claim discout If you have a o claim discout (NCD), we ll give you a discout i lie with our NCD scale which is curret at the time of acceptace. The discout wo t apply to our admiistratio costs or to ay additioal optios you ve chose. Your NCD will ot be affected if we oly pay for: emergecy treatmet charges (sectio 3); a claim uder legal expeses. If more tha oe motorcycle is isured, the NCD is eared separately for each motorcycle i the policyholder s ame. A amed rider does t ear their ow NCD. If a claim is still outstadig at the reewal date, we may issue a reewal quotatio with the NCD reduced. Oce the claim has bee settled, foud to be ot your fault ad all outstadig moies repaid, your NCD will be restored ad we ll refud ay extra premium you may have paid. However, whilst your NCD will be restored, your premium may still icrease followig a claim. 11 Guarateed NCD If you are eligible, ad pay the required extra premium, you may choose to guaratee your NCD. If chose, this will be show o your schedule. If your NCD is show as guarateed o your schedule, it will ot be reduced irrespective of the umber of claims made. However, your premium may still icrease followig a claim. If we ve offered the optio to guaratee your NCD ad we re the subsequetly advised of a claim, we may issue a revised quote ad remove the optio. Proof of your NCD etitlemet You should keep your proof of NCD from your previous isurer as we may ask you to provide this at ay time or i the evet of a claim. The proof should be i your ame, be less tha 2 years old ad also issued by your previous UK isurer. We may also check ay NCD you ve advised you re etitled to. For further iformatio, refer to Geeral coditios, sectio 8.3. If you require proof of your NCD eared whilst isured with us, we ll issue it for you, provided you do t owe us ay moey. Sectio 7 Geeral exceptios These geeral exceptios apply to this whole cotract ad they ll apply i additio to the exclusios show uder we wo t pay for i each sectio of this documet of motorcycle isurace. 1. Chage of circumstaces otificatio ad acceptace This isurace wo t apply uless: You ve told us about ay chage as listed i Geeral coditios, 8.2; ad we ve agreed to provide cover, issued a schedule ad where appropriate issued a ew certificate of motor isurace. 2. Ridig ad use This isurace wo t apply if ay motorcycle, your cotract allows you to ride, is beig ridde ad/or used with your permissio: other tha i lie with your certificate of motor isurace ad/or schedule; by ay perso ot described o your certificate of motor isurace ad/or schedule as etitled to ride or i charge of the motorcycle; by ay perso who does ot have a valid drivig licece, is disqualified from drivig, has ot held a drivig licece or who is preveted by law from holdig a drivig licece; by ay perso who is breakig the coditios of their drivig licece; for hire or reward, racig, pace makig, testig, speed trials, track days or for competig i Natioal British A or Iteratioal rallies; for ay use i coectio with the motor trade other tha by a member of the motor trade for the purposes of overhaul, upkeep or repair; for towig more tha oe trailer at the same time. 12 3. Cotractual liability We wo t pay for ay liability resultig oly from a cotract or agreemet you have with aother party. 4. Radioactivity We wo t pay for ay loss, damage, liability or cost directly or idirectly caused by: radiatio or cotamiatio from uclear fuel or uclear waste or from burig or explosio of uclear fuel; the radioactive, toxic, explosive, hazardous or cotamiatig properties of ay uclear istallatio, reactor or other uclear assembly or its compoet part; ay weapo or device usig atomic or uclear fissio or fusio or radioactive force or matter. 5. War, terrorism, riot, civil urest We wo t pay i the evet of: war, civil war, terrorism, rebellio or revolutio except whe required by the Road Traffic Acts; or riot or civil urest that happes outside Eglad, Norther Irelad, Scotlad, Wales, the Isle of Ma or the Chael Islads. Sectio 8 Geeral coditios We ll oly provide cover uder this policy if you or ayoe else covered by this isurace meet all the terms ad coditios i this documet of motorcycle isurace icludig those show o your schedule. 1. Care of your motorcycle You or ay perso i charge of your motorcycle must protect your motorcycle from damage or loss. Alarms, immobilisers ad trackig devices must always be o ad workig whe your motorcycle is left uatteded. Your schedule shows ay security requiremets specific to your policy. If these requiremets are t met, this isurace wo t be valid ad we wo t pay a claim. You or ay authorised rider must always take the keys out of the igitio ad remove them completely whe your motorcycle is left uatteded. You should maitai your motorcycle i a efficiet ad roadworthy coditio; ad you must have a valid Departmet for Trasport Test Certificate (MOT) if oe is eeded by law. You must give us access to examie your motorcycle ad if asked sed us evidece of a valid MOT ad/or evidece your motorcycle was regularly maitaied ad kept i a good coditio. 2. Your resposibility to provide correct iformatio Whe applyig for, amedig or reewig this isurace, you must aswer all questios truthfully to the best of your kowledge, icludig questios that apply to ay other perso covered by this isurace. Your schedule shows the aswers you have provided ad you must let us kow if ay of the details are icorrect as soo as possible after receivig your documets. At reewal, you must also let us kow if ay of the iformatio has chaged, icludig ay claims, covictios or edorsemets for you ad/or ayoe isured uder your policy. 11 Documet of Isurace motorcycle

13 Chages you eed to tell us about durig the period of cover You must tell us about the followig as soo as possible durig the period of cover: chagig your motorcycle; you chage the way you use your motorcycle e.g. from social domestic ad pleasure to busiess use; you move house or chage the address of where you keep your motorcycle; chages made to your motorcycle which improve it s value, appearace, performace or hadlig; chage of occupatio, icludig part time work. You wo t be covered followig the above chages uless we ve agreed to provide cover, issued a schedule ad where appropriate, issued you a ew certificate of motor isurace. This meas that, if you do t tell us, we may reject ay claim or reduce the amout of paymet we make. Where we agree to your chage, this may result i a additioal or retur premium. If your chage of circumstaces meas that we ca o loger provide cover, we ll give you otice of cacellatio. Please see Geeral coditio 9, our rights to cacel your isurace. Documets ad iformatio you may eed to sed us You must sed us ay documet or iformatio that we may require to help us validate your details. Examples of documets or iformatio we may require iclude your drivig licece, your drivig licece umber, your vehicle registratio documet, proof of NCD, proof of your address ad a copy of a utility bill. 3 Misrepresetatio ad fraud If you or ayoe represetig you: provides us with misleadig or icorrect iformatio to ay of the questios asked whe applyig for, amedig or reewig this isurace; deliberately misleads us to obtai cover, gai a cheaper premium or more favourable terms; provides us with false documets; makes a claim or part of ay claim that is fraudulet, false or exaggerated; makes a fraudulet paymet by bak accout ad/or card; we may: agree with you to amed your policy to record the correct iformatio, apply ay relevat policy terms ad coditios ad collect ay additioal premium due; reject a claim or reduce the amout of paymet we make; cacel or void your policy (treat it as if it ever existed), icludig all other policies which you have with us, ad apply a cacellatio charge. Where fraud is idetified, we ll also: ot retur ay premium paid by you; recover from you ay costs we ve icurred; ad pass details to fraud prevetio ad law eforcemet agecies who may access ad use this iformatio. Accidet ad claims procedure You or ay other perso ridig uder this isurace must: give us full details of ay accidet as soo as possible; iform the police as soo as possible if your motorcycle or its cotets are stole ad provide us with the crime referece umber; sed to us immediately all commuicatios from other people ivolved which must ot have bee replied to; immediately tell us of ad sed to us ay otice of iteded prosecutio, iquest, fatal accidet iquiry or ay writ, summos or process which must ot have bee replied to; ad provide us with relevat iformatio to your claim that we may require to help us validate ad process your claim, such as proof of owership of your motorcycle or details of ay chages/modificatios to your motorcycle. You must ot, without our coset: egotiate or admit resposibility; or make ay offer, promise or paymet. We re etitled to: have total cotrol to coduct, defed ad settle ay claim; ad take proceedigs, i your ame or i the ame of ay other perso claimig uder this isurace, at our ow expese ad for our ow beefit to recover ay paymet we have made. 5. Other isuraces If ay loss, damage or liability covered by this isurace is also covered by ay other isurace, we will oly pay our share. 6. Compulsory isurace laws If uder the law of ay coutry we must make a paymet which we would t otherwise have to make, you must repay that amout to us. 7. Bike Sharig Acceptig paymets from passegers as part of a motorcycle sharig arragemet wo t affect your isurace cover if: they re beig give a lift for social or similar purposes; this is ot as part of a busiess of carryig passegers; ad ay moey received does t produce a profit. 8. Volutary use Social, domestic ad pleasure use icludes use of your motorcycle for volutary purposes. No paymet or icome should be received other tha reasoable expeses to cover ruig costs such as fuel. 9. Cacellatio Our rights to cacel your isurace We ll cacel your isurace from the commecemet or reewal date if you do t pay your premium or deposit o time. 13 Documet of Isurace motorcycle

15 We ll also cacel your isurace, by givig you 7 days otice, at your last kow address, if: you do t pay a additioal premium or a istalmet that is due; you or ayoe else covered by this isurace has ot met all the terms ad coditios i this documet of motorcycle isurace icludig those show o your schedule; a chage i your circumstaces meas that we ca o loger provide cover; we idetify misrepresetatio or fraud or ay attempt to gai a advatage uder this isurace to which you re ot etitled see Geeral coditios 8.3; you harass or show abusive or threateig behaviour towards our staff; you behave i a maer that makes it iappropriate for us to cotiue your isurace, this icludes failig to co-operate with our accidet ad claims procedure see Geeral coditios 8.4. The isurace will ed immediately the 7 days otice rus out ad you must the retur the certificate of motor isurace to us. We ll refud the part of your premium that applies to the remaiig period of cover whe we receive the certificate of motor isurace, uless fraud has bee idetified. If a refud is paid, a cacellatio charge will be deducted from the refud. If a claim has bee made, we ll cacel your cover but may ot refud ay premium. If you re payig by istalmets, you must still pay us the balace of the full aual premium. Your rights to cacel your isurace Up to 14 days after you receive your documets At the start of your isurace, whe you receive your documets, you have 14 days to check you re happy with the isurace cover you ve bought. If the cover does t meet your eeds, you ca cacel your isurace by tellig us. If you do this withi 14 days of receivig your documets, we ll refud ay moey you ve paid less a charge for the cover you ve had ad a cacellatio charge will apply for settig up the policy. A charge wo t be made if you cacel before the cover start date. More tha 14 days after you receive your documets After the iitial 14 days, if you ve ot made a claim, we ll refud ay moey you ve paid, less a charge for the cover you ve had ad a cacellatio charge will apply. If you ve made a claim o refud will be paid. If you are due a refud, we ll sed this to you withi 30 days of you tellig us that you d like to cacel.
