The Cat C6.6 engine with ACERT Technology introduces a series of evolutionary, increental iproveents that provide breakthrough engine perforance. The building blocks of ACERT Technology are fuel delivery, air anageent and electronic control. ACERT Technology optiizes engine perforance while eeting EU Stage IIIA engine eission regulations. The Cat C6.6 engine in the M8D MH and MD MH deliver a axiu gross power of 0 kw (M8D) and 9 kw (MD). Low Fuel Consuption. The C6.6 is electronically controlled and uses the new Cat Coon Rail Fuel Syste and fuel pup. This co bination provides outstanding fuel consuption during both pro duc tion and travel. Due to new spools and increased horsepower, the D-Series Material Handlers are able to offer even faster stick and swing speeds, leading to ore productivity. Dedicated Swing Pup. A dedicated, variable displaceent piston pup and fixed displaceent piston otor power the swing echanis. This closed hydraulic circuit axiizes swing perforance without re - ducing power to the other hydraulic functions, resulting in soother cobined oveents. Heavy Lift Mode. This ode axiizes lifting perforance by boosting the lifting capability of the aterial handler by 7 percent. Heavy loads can be easily oved in the full working range of the achine, aintaining excellent stability and speed. Adjustable Hydraulic Sensitivity. Adjustable Hydraulic Sensitivity allows the operator to adjust the aggressiveness of the achine according to the application. For precision work, one of three different levels of aggressiveness can be pre-selected. Proportional Auxiliary Hydraulics. Versatility of the hydraulic syste can be expanded to utilize a wide variety of hydraulic work tools using ultiple valve options. The Multi-Cobined Valve is the core of the Tool Control Syste, allowing the operator to select up to ten pre-prograed work tools fro the onitor. These preset hydraulic paraeters support either oneway or two-way flow. The joystick sliding switches allow odulated control of the work tool. The Mediu Pressure Function Valve provides proportional flow that is ideal for rotating tools. A new feature for the D-Series Material Handlers is the optional second High Pressure Valve. In cobination with the Multi-Cobined Valve, it provides the possibility to operate the achine with work tools or in applications requiring a third auxiliary hydraulic function. Stick Regeneration Circuit. The Stick Regeneration Circuit increases efficiency and helps increase controllability for higher productivity and lower operating costs. Hydraulic Snubbers. Caterpillar integrates its cylinder snubber technology into all Wheel Material Handler boo, stick and hydraulic cab riser cylinders. These snubbers help cushion shocks, reduce sound and increase cylinder life. SartBoo. It allows the operator to fully concentrate on pro duction. The unique Cat SartBoo significantly enhances operator cofort and job efficiency. 6 Operator Cofort The interior layout axiizes operator space, provides exceptional cofort and reduces operator fatigue. Interior Operator Station. Iproved visibility and ergonoics are soe of the any new features of the D-Series Material Handler Operator Station. The cab provides axiu space and is designed for siplicity and functionality. Frequently used switches are centralized and are situated on the right-hand switch console. The left-hand seat console controls the dozer blade and/or outriggers, and is tiltable for easy access to the cab. The fully autoatic cliate control adjusts teperature and air flow for exceptional operator cofort. Hydraulic Cab Riser. The Hydraulic Cab Riser (HCR) design provides the ost suitable solution when high flexibility in cab height is needed. Main features of the hydraulic riser include the following: Stability The lift ars on the HCR are a wide and deep box-sectioned design with iproved top and botto links for greater cab stability. Further stability is achieved with the help of the retractable hydraulic cylinders used to raise the cab. Material Handling A new, standard design for the D-Series, the Material Handling undercarriage with four welded outriggers is ideal for the extra stability needed, especially when using a Hydraulic Cab Riser. Material Handling with Dozer Blade An optional expansion to the Material Handling described above with an additional Dozer Blade ounted ahead of the front stabilizers to be used to push aterial coonly encountered in waste and ill yard applications. The standard undercarriage allows for different kinds of stabilizers to be attached to the front and rear of the achine. Heavy-Duty Axles. The front axle offers wide oscillating and steering angles.
