3 Preference Operating a 9S series is unique to every operator. Operators can fully custoize their work environent and operating preferences to fit their individual needs. In 9S Series cabin you can easily adjust the seat, console and Operator Cofort arrest settings to best suit your personal operating preferences. Seat and console position can be set together and independent fro each other. Other preference settings that add to overall operator cofort include the fully autoatic high capacity airconditioning syste and the radio / USB player. Reduced Stress Work is stressful enough. Your work environent should be stress free. Hyundai's 9S Series provides iproved cab aenities, additional space and a cofortable seat to iniize stress to the operator. A powerful cliate control syste provides the operator with optiu air teperature. An advanced audio syste with USB player, AM/FM stereo is perfect for listening to usic favorites. Operator Friendly Cluster The advanced new cluster with 7 inch wide color LCD screen and toggle switch allows the operator to select his personal achine preferences. Power and work ode selection, self diagnostics, optional rearview caera, aintenance check lists, startup achine security, and video functions were integrated into the cluster to ake the achine ore versatile and the operator ore productive. Wide Cabin with Excellent Visibility The newly designed cabin was conceived for ore space, a wider field of view and operator cofort. Special attention was given to a clear, open and convenient interior with plenty of visibility on the achine surroundings and the job at hand. 4 Precision Innovative hydraulic syste technologies ake the 9S series excavator fast, sooth and easy to control. Coputer Aided Power The engine horsepower and hydraulic horsepower together in unison through the advanced CAPO(Coputer Aided Power Optiization) syste, flow for the job at hand. Operator can set their own preferences for boo or swing priority, power ode selection and optional work tools at the touch of a button. The CAPO syste also provides coplete self diagnostic features and digital gauges for iportant inforation like hydraulic oil teperature, water teperatures and fuel level. This syste interfaces with ultiple sensors placed throughout the hydraulic syste as well as the electronically controlled engine to provide the optiu level of engine power and hydraulic flow. Power Mode Work Mode User Mode P (Power Max) ode axiizes achine speed and power for ass production. S (Standard) ode provides a reduced, fixed rp for optiu perforance and iproved fuel econoy. For axiu fuel savings and iproved control, E (Econoy) ode provides precise flow and engine power based on load deand. Three unique power odes provide the operator with custo power, speed and fuel econoy. The work ode allows the operator to select single flow attachents like a hydraulic breaker or bidirectional flow attachents like a crusher. Flow settings unique to each attachent can be prograed fro within the cluster. Soe jobs require ore precise achine settings. Using the versatile U (User) ode, the operator can custoize engine speed, pup output, idle speed and other achine settings for the job at hand. Iproved Hydraulic Syste To achieve optiu precision, Hyundai redesigned the hydraulic syste to provide the operator with super fine touch and iproved controllability. Iproved pup flow control reduces flow when controls are not being used to iniize fuel consuption. Iproved spool valves in the control valve are engineered to provide ore precise flow to each function with less effort. Iproved hydraulic valves, precisiondesigned variable volue piston pups, finetouch pilot controls, and enhanced travel functions ake any operator running a 9S series look like a sooth operator. Newly iproved features include arin and boodown flow regeneration, iproved control valve technology and innovative auto boo and swing priority for optial perforance in any application. Auto Booswing Priority This sart function autoatically and continuously looks the ideal hydraulic flow balance for the boo and swing otions of the achine. The advanced CAPO syste onitors the hydraulic syste and adjusts its settings to axiize perforance and productivity. /7

5 Perforance 9S series is designed for axiu perforance to keep the operator working productively. Durable track rail guards keep Track Rail Guard & Adjusters track links in place. Track adjustent is ade easy with standard grease cylinder track adjusters and shock absorbing springs. CUMMINS QSM11C Engine The six cylinders, turbocharged, 4 cycle, Charger air cooled engine is built for power, reliability, econoy and low eissions. This engine eets Tier eissions regulations. Structure Strength The 9S series cabin structure has been fitted with stronger but slier tubing for ore safety and iproved visibility. Lowstress, high strength steel is integrally welded to for a stronger, ore durable upper and lower frae. Structural integrity was tested by way of FEM (Finite Eleents Method) analysis and longter durability tests. Setting the standard in lean, efficient power. The QSM uses advanced electronic controls to eet the toughest eissions standards without coproising anything. Exceptional fuel efficiency, durability, dependability and the highest powertoweight ratio in its class are still tradeark QSM qualities. Plus, the QSM now runs quieter and cleaner. The QSM engine coes with powerful Electronic Control Module (ECM). Using input fro sensors located throughout the engine, it governs the tiing and etering of fuel to the engine. Fuel is injected into the power cylinder using Cuins dualpulse technology. This injection ethod helps reduce noise levels as it increases responsiveness and iproves fuel efficiency. 8/9
