2 B-SERIES CRAWLER EXCAVATORS DURABILITY BUILT IN The upper-structure, redesigned to atch increased hydraulic perforance, ensures CASE legendary durability and reliability even in the toughest conditions. Boo and dipper feature forged brackets and reduced tolerances for increased coponent life iniizing downtie. Resin side shis on boo and dipper contribute to lower wear and service intervals. New synthetic hydraulic fi lter reduces syste containation, cutting service costs and boosting achine longevity. LOW OPERATING COSTS The certifi ed fuel effi cient powerful engine eets Tier III eissions regulations granting reduced fuel consuption. A large fuel tank, cobined with low consuption, results in not ore than a 2-day work period between refi lls. The Extended Maintenance Syste grants longer greasing intervals on all pins copared to copetition. All fi lters and regular fi ll points are grouped for easy access. Radiator and cooler cores are ounted side by side for ore effi cient cooling and easy access for cleaning. Optional high fl ow refueling pup with autoatic cut off reduces downtie for regular fi lls. POWER AND SPEED The advanced hydraulic syste has three working odes offering higher breakout force, iproved swing speeds and greater swing torque, resulting in faster cycle ties and 5% increase in productivity. Power boost function is autoatically engaged. The electronic anageent of speed and power lowers fuel consuption and offers considerable productivity benefi ts in ters of outputs. AWARDED The CX210B is awarded Good Design Award by the Design Acadey of Japan. The CX210B won the 18th Energy Conservation Award by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy in Ministry of Econoy, Trade of Japan and Industry and Energy Conservation Centre, Japan. 2

3 BUILT STRONG OPERATOR COMFORT The widen cab structure offers ore leg and foot space, while the extensive glass surface contributes to give an ipression of aperture to the operator. Ergonoic layout, intuitive controls and a seat that lays fl at ensures optiu cofort for all operators. Additionnally, the viscous fl uid cab ountings and top quality insulation lead to a stress and fatigue reduction for the operator, boosting productivity and perforance. Four positions consoles with return to pre-set odes will suit all operators needs. SAFETY FIRST All round visibility in the cab is provided by a wide glazed area with single-piece window on the right hand side for unobstructed view. The frae structure has three ties the structural rigidity of previous odels, reducing noise and vibration for the operator. An adjustable control console with ergonoic design akes it easier to choose the correct operating ode, increasing cofort and safety. 3

4 B-SERIES CRAWLER EXCAVATORS ENGINE Both CX210B and CX240B feature a proven four cylinder coon rail engine eeting Tier 3 eissions standards. Copactness ensures extended durability for all coponents. The lower engine speed cobined with the high capacity exhaust uffl er provides 5% less noisy output and 20% ore fuel saving. The fuel cooler contributes actively to grant fuel effi ciency, while the overhead cashaft with four valves per cylinder and the exhaust gas recirculation syste (EGR) reduce gaseous eissions. Auto and one-touch idle speed settings ensure axiu effi ciency in all operating conditions. All Case B series excavators can be equipped with hot cliates cooling syste (Tropical Package) to face teperatures above 45. HYDRAULICS Both CX210B and CX240B feature a variable control hydraulic pup which aintains optiu engine rp during heavy load work. Controls provide rapid and sooth reactions to power deand, resulting in ipressive productivity. The hydraulic syste features iproved piston pups with tighter tolerances, reducing syste losses and resulting, with the new swing relief syste, in iportant fuel savings. A synthetic fibre hydraulic filter is provided as standard, protecting valuable coponents and prolonging hydraulic oil service life up to 5000 hours. CONTROLS The syste ode selection (three working odes available) is intuitively set through an advanced engine throttle control and easy reachable on the fully adjustable right hand console aking the CX210B and CX240B cofortable achine to operate. A A-MODE: for grading, lifting and precision work. H H-MODE: the best balance between productivity and fuel econoy. SP SP-MODE: extra speed and power for the ost deanding jobs that require axiu productivity. Auto Power boost autoatically increases hydraulic pressure according to the operation s deands. Operators can store up to 10 auxiliary hydraulic fl ow settings in the achine s advanced hydraulic control, aking it possible to use up to 10 attachents with no anual adjustent to the achine s hydraulic valves. This reduces downtie for attachent changeover, increasing productivity. The display console has a luinosity sensor to ensure that it is easy to read whatever the abient light conditions. 4

5 BUILT STRONG OPERATOR S CAB The Case B series with its single-piece window and wide glazed surface provides best in class all around visibility. Despite re-profi led sli pillars, the cab is three ties ore rigid, for increased operator safety. Cobined with viscous cab ounts and reduced engine noise, ensure bestin-class insulation. All operators can fi nd a cofortable position, thanks to adjustable consoles, fully reclining seat, unatched leg roo and air conditioning with nine outlet vents. The B series cab features ultiple standard options as the large storage box behind the driver s seat, bottle and can holders, a obile phone holder and a cool box that uses the air conditioning syste to regulate internal teperature.

6 B-SERIES CRAWLER EXCAVATORS MAINTENANCE Case CX B SERIES excavators are easy to service thanks to ground level access to all fi lters and aintenance points. The fi lters are reote ounted in a centralised position, providing easy and safe serviceability, and the larger fuel tank has both a drain valve and a reovable service plate, when easy cleaning becoes essential as in case of fuel containation. An engine oil drainer cuts the risk of spillage during servicing, protecting the environent. Centralised electrics checks, positioned behind the operator s seat, ensure cleanliness and dry operating conditions. In addition to this, the B series excavators scores the lowest tie in SAE Maintenance coparative tests, outstanding for reduced downtie and cutting operating costs. UNDERCARRIAGE Track coponents are designed for extended durability. Case sprockets are heat treated for longer service life. Durability of track guides and track links has been further iproved, with new M shaped seals and increased pin hardness extending operating hours and boosting the Case reputation for robust durable design. Furtherore, the track rollers have an O-ring design that prevents dirt and dust scaling. IMPROVED PIN AND BUSHING LIFE Extended Maintenance Bushings (EMS) are standard equipent on all Case CX B series excavators. These low aintenance bushings provide longer greasing intervals, greatly reducing daily and weekly aintenance for the operator, and increasing productivity. 7 BUILT STRONG ATTACHMENTS AND BUCKETS The Case custoers can choose fro a variety of ain boos and dipper ars to suit different applications. All of the feature heavy duty steel box sections with internal baffl es to increase torsional rigidity. Deep groove welding ensures that the boos and ars can withstand the stress of high breakout forces, heavy lifting and attachents such as hydraulic breakers, copactors, deolition shears and crushers.
